They were alright. Like the other reviews they do not buy much of your clothing very picky for a resale store. The customer service was great at least. They told me my items were too old and resembled fashion from 2013 when in fact most of the clothing I came in with was less than a year old and hardly worn or with tags. They didn't even give my buy 5 mins and I had a large duffle I brought in and they didn't want to take anything. Everything was new, good condition but wanted nothing to do with it. After seeing what they had on the floor and the awful condition the clothes they are selling blows me away! While getting what they didn't buy a friend of theirs was there and took pretty much her entire buy when it wasn't even good things! The favoritism that is here is jaw dropping. I have tried many times to give it a chance, but this is my breaking point. I'd rather just give the clothes to goodwill than deal with the unprofessionalism that is this establishment. Out of all the thrifts stores I've ever checked out this is by far my favorite. Yes as bougie as I May seem I've come here and they have a great clothes and handbag options. This place is a bit sketchy. I brought in about 100 items (all almost new and youthful clothes)...and they bought ONE skirt for $2!!!! The clerk then told me I should donate the rest to a thrift store down the street. Huh??! I've been to this place 2 times before and I always call ahead to ask if they are still taking clothes. Today I called to ask and there was an very rude girl who answered the phone saying that I got the wrong number and proceeded to hang up. I called back afterwards and they keep hanging up on me immediately. I know for a fact this is the right phone number cause I looked back in my history and it's the phone number they have on google maps. This is just embarrassing and a terrible look for your company. False expectations for selling your clothes! I walked in with a bag full of clothes & was told that it might take a couple hours to get my clothes checked. The place was empty & the little cubbies & bins looked basically empty, so not sure why it would take so long. Not a good start! I came back and was basically handed my entire bag back except for a few items -- was told my items were too old (aka over a year old), so there is nothing they can offer me for them. These were basically brand new, hardly used, clean clothes from brand name stores (h&m, gap, banana republic, loft) & they got the thumbs down??? Terrible policy to reject perfectly good clothes because they are "out of style" by a few months or so. You are a re-sale store ---let's be real here! Adding insult to injury, the select couple of items that were actually deemed acceptable were offered to me at a penny change price. This was a dress that retailed for $60 in store. I won't give the specific offer value because it makes my blood burn to repeat it! The one positive is the staff was pleasant & tried their best to clarify the company's unfortunate policy. Realized I'd rather donate these clothes to someone that needs & would appreciate them, rather than sell to a store that clearly doesn't truly want to help people get $ back for their gently used clothes. First off, half the clothes in this shop kind of suck. It's hard to find nice clothing... But anyways, that's not my point on why I gave them 1 Star. I usually come here to bring my old clothes. I don't think some of the girls who check clothes actually know style or what they're doing. One time I brought a bag of clothes, they did the whole speak about why they picked certain things and what not. Funny thing is, I bought a few shirts from them. Decided I didn't want them and was over the return date so I decided put it with the bag of other clothes... come to find out they don't buy it because it's out of style? Uhm what? We come here whenever we want to drop off clothes it's about 40 minutes away from our house. We tried making an appointment and the phone went straight to voicemail but the voicemail box was full. I absolutely love this store! I'm able to make a couple bucks on selling stuff I haven't worn in months and then use that extra cash for whatever. I brought in this big black bag 4 different times and didn't add or take out anything and each time they took about 10 things out of it but I only received at most $30 for those 10 items and the sad thing is the same girl went through the bag every time, and I wasn't going to leave a comment but every time I message or comment on their pictures on Instagram they leave me on read or just ignore me. I'm sorry but this place is not professional and it's a shame because I used to work at a Platos back where I used to live and the atmosphere was so much better we responded to everyone and took items that actually were meant to be taken but this location definitely picks and choses what they take I shouldn't have to take my same bag 4 times, guess I will have to drive 2 hours to my old Platos to get better service. read more

Hate the employees in this store, they are so rude and they dont care about anything. The only nice person is a guy who works in the fitting rooms. There is a woman in her 40s who is blonde and I dont know how she got a job, she took my clothes for more than an hour and she was wasting time chit chatting with another employee and when she finally checked what I brought in she wasn't even paying attention she kept talking. Worst experience in selling in my life they offered me $ 13. For 2 dresses that were valued at over 275.00 for each dress great for the buyer since they would make a heck of a deal! The sales associate just kept repeating back it's based on current sales values its a percentage ok so the brand new dress same style was selling for new at 275.oo and you basically offer me 6.50 wow that's a heck of a profit for you. I took my nieces to Plato's Closet for back to school shopping and was really impressed with the store. I had always thought this store was just for teenagers but I even found some wonderful treasures to add to my wardrobe. The nieces appreciate the eco friendly concept of purchasing "used" clothing and love the fact that there is an abundance of unique styles to choose from. The girls are going back with another Aunt today for more shopping before heading back home to Ohio where they will have great back yo school wardrobes. Massive waste of your time, whether you are donating or shopping. I came to give away a few things, and I had a look around. I was told they were not interested in the things I was offering because the dress I was giving away (mint condition with the tag still attached I might add) because the shop had too many dresses in stock already, and the t- shirts I wanted to sell were not in good enough condition. I might have understood this, if while I was looking around that store I saw nothing repeat NOTHING that was in better condition than what I had to offer. The shoes and clothes this store was selling were no better than what you would find in a goodwill or other thrift shop! The only possible plus of any of it was that it might have had a "brand" name. And what's the point of that if the product was so obviously already used and not in good condition? Yet my clothes were not up to it. It's an absolute tragedy that I even have to give this place one star!!! To begin with, I walked in and the employees basically turn their noses up at you like they're too good for your business. NEWS FLASH: YOUR JOB IS TO ACCEPT MY CLOTHES AND TAKE A PIECE OF PAPER. NOT DIFFICULT. I was told it would be 35-45 minutes. Ok, no big deal. I went back an hour later and my clothes had been checked. I took in easily over $1000 worth of good quality brand name clothing (Lilly Pulitzer, BCBG, express, clothes from saks, etc.) they took out my bin and said they could accept 9 items. I thought that was pretty good. I looked through the bin and they took all of my Lilly clothes. That's when they dropped the bomb. "We can offer you $41" EXCUSE ME?! $41, this has to be a joke. They then told me they take the original price of the item, take 50-70% off, and then give you 35% of that price. Now, I'm not a math wizard, but one Lilly dress cost over $200, 50% of that would be $100, then 35% of that would be $35. FOR ONE ITEM. I was offered $41 for 9 items. I cannot believe this place is still in business after how much they rip you off. I saw some of the clothes in there and my stuff was 100x nicer. I guess your things have to be dirty and gross for them to accept them. I can guarantee they will never get business from me again! read more

I'm sorry, but your job is to collect items people no longer want, it's not overwhelmingly difficult. Second, I am fully aware I'm not entitled to the full amount of the items I bring in... but GIRL. I brought in over 20 items, some with the tags still on, most never worn. But you have the audacity to say they're "worn and too old" for your store. So uh, when did being 22 and owning designer clothes make you "too old?" Lemme know. They were so graciously willing to give me $9 for 3 items - 2 of those items being dressed with the tags still on, $70 each. Being the inquisitive person I am, I asked exactly how their program worked. They stated they looked at the original selling price, marked it down 50%, then gave you 30% of that. Now, I am no math genius but I can do this. So the dress was $70. 50% of that would be $35. 30% of that would be $24.50. Yet I was offered $9 for 3 items....? No way hunny! You're better off playing in traffic than dealing with this backwards business. read more
