Absolutely not worth trying to trade in clothes at this location . Out of all my namebrand stuff even with tags on it they only accepted one shirt for seven dollars. This is absolutely appalling this place could go ahead and close down. There is no need to keep this place open when everyone who was bringing in clothes to sell was getting anywhere from 1 to 9 dollars for all their items. Not 0 stars but not 5 stars either... they suck at determining an items worth... I brought in 2 BRAND NEW limited edition timberland boots. And 2 old random t-shirts .... I genuinely just had one of the worst experiences I have ever had in this store. I didn't get her name, but she had her hair in a curly messy bun with a brown strap tank top. She was working the register and giving manager vibes - it's June 8th 2026. I was picking up my clothes as I got the text that they had been finished being gone through. She was so incredibly rude and would not even look me in the eye as she was telling me which clothes they were going to purchase from me. As I was waiting for her to hand me cash she started laughing at another worker and saying rude comments about her as she was talking to a customer. Then another coworker came up to her and said " is this the bin with those shoes that I wanted?" she proceeded to laugh at her and say " nobody wants those ugly ass shoes anyways" as I was still standing right there. Then she didn't even acknowledge the transaction was done. I was standing there waiting for her to tell me that I was good to go. She just walked away, so I grabbed my things and walked out. Customer service is always okay whenever I go in. They have a lot of outdated, faded clothing that's way over priced. It surprises how they don't buy nicer/newer items from customers but yet their racks are full, and I mean full, of ugly, old items. You'd think they'd want brand new stuff with tags (I know they want young adult/late teens style) but out of all the stuff I took in, they only bought a few of the items from my bags. A lot of selections of items. However, i do not get their selling process. A lot of products declined when they ask for "lightly used" or new items to sell. But majority of these thrifted items looks worn out or stretched and faded. My daughter's items were also declined because her size 00 and 1s were considered as kid sizes and they stated they do not sell kids clothes. Really confused too because i thought sizes 00-15+ were considered adults? I may be wrong but, that's the last time i remembered when i was in my teen years. Prices on clothes are sometimes ridiculous and seems better to get things regular priced at the actual store for new. I just brought in 2 brand new dresses in that were never worn both over 50.00 and said they couldn't take them ... they weren't in style , weren't even a year old .So I went over to the dresses they had hanging and nothing compared to mine!! Customer service is always great here. Whether you're selling or buying. The store is well organized and they do have a lot of selections. The reason I have it as 3 stars is because I can never find anything worth buying here. Might be the location and what people are selling here. Selling is pretty easy here. Come with an open mind and know that the majority of your stuff will not sell. That's how it always is in any other thrift store. But you check in and leave your bags there. I wouldn't take clothes that I'm emotionally attached to or are super-high value (in my eyes) here. They can only pay you a percentage of what they're going to sell the clothes for and the price range is generally lower here, so naturally, they can't pay you that much. But if you have clothes that you're otherwise going to donate or too lazy to sell yourself, this is a great place to bring them. Their store is actually smaller than the other one in Vegas (Northwest), so I understand they can't take that much inventory in at once. I've had more luck selling at the Northwest one, but prefer coming here since it's closer to where I live. Most of the workers here are pleasant and helpful, I've had a lot of stuff in my hands before and they offered to hold stuff in a bin for me or proactively open a fitting room. Selection can be hit or miss, I usually walk out with 1 or 2 items, but some days are better than others, you just gotta be willing to dig! Taking away a star as I think the cleanliness of the store could be upkept a little more, but I understand it's not a top priority. Just vacuuming would be sufficient to decrease dust! read more

Pretty disappointed in this store. Out of 2 full bags, they bought 3 things and said they couldn't take the rest due to inventory reasons despite there being a variety of clothes in the bags. They also said it would take 20-30 minutes to look through the bags, but after 3 hours of hearing nothing from them, we had to check in with them again. The store occasionally has good quality picks at good prices, but for the most part I'm super unimpressed by what they're choosing to buy and sell. If you have high quality clothes that you paid good money for, I recommend trying to sell online or other retailers because Plato's will not accept them. read more

I absolutely this store. I first heard about Plato's closet on Facebook when I still lived in California and we didn't have our own Plato's Closet. I read all about how Plato's had amazing deals, so you can imagine how stoked I was to learn that there is a Plato's Closet in Vegas. The employees are always friendly. I usually end up walking out with amazing deals on Kate purses and shoes, Michael Kors purses, Michael Kors shoes, Free People tops and dresses on clearance for a dollar, bathing suits, activewear, brand new clothes with tags on them, etc. I was stoked when I left the store with all my amazing finds. Recently, they even gave away clothes for free by setting out bags and bags of clothing for anyone who wanted them. Now that's very generous and I will support any business that does that. The place is full of racks bursting at the seams with all sizes of clothing, accessories, bags and shoes for both guys and girls. Went in with two bags full and some items were brand new shoes / clothes and they only took the items with tags on them which was like 3 items ... I could tell my bag wasn't even dumped out so that they could actually look through it ... keep in mind some of the items in there were lightly worn ( no holes no tears and no stains and all were clean) and were name brand items. The timing that I dropped off my items and got texted that they were ready was within 9 minutes... that's not even enough time to look at all the items I brought in. The staff is considerably busy but when asked for help, they are quick to jump in. 3.5 stars Store is organized enough for a thrift store. It's slightly higher priced than what you'd expect to pay at a second hand store. Some clothes feel a little icky, but it could be hit or miss based on what's being donated and brought in. Selling your items: the process was fast and the employees were friendly. Honestly, it really depends on what's "in". You can call or check their instagram for what items they actually need. I brought in pretty neutral stuff and they took only ONE crop top. If you're wondering why you see things in the store, it's probably because it was donated. Which, you can offer to do so if they don't buy what you brought. Here at Plato's Closet, they offer slightly, gently used clothing items from everything like sweaters, jackets, Halloween costumes, shoes, hats, dresses... you name it! I've seen clothing items from as low at $5.95 for a sweater and jeans from $14.99! What's cool is they also sell brand items. I've seen Levi's, Victoria Secret, Roxy, Michael Kors, etc. Do you have a new year's resolution to maybe clean out your closet? You should do it and anything you don't want, bring it into Plato's closet and make some side cash. Call before you come in to see what they are buying back! But it has quickly become one of my favorite places to shop at too. The workers here are all very friendly! They are easy to talk to and always make you feel welcome. I typically come here just to sell some things I had that I wore once, name brand as well. Each time I came here, I usually bring a bag of a few clothing items that are name brand, and very great condition. Most the time I come to sell, it is typically a pass, I'm not sure why as I bring in clothing that has been worn once maybe twice, name brand such as Zara, Victoria Secrets, Forever21 even American eagle. Today, I brought in 3 Victoria secret gym workout matching sets they told me "it's just not the style we are looking for". Maybe it might be a good place for you to sell clothing, but keep in mind, you will probably get a pass even if you only bring in clothing close to new & a good brand. 05/25/23 drive over 12+ miles to get here. They buy good condition used clothes. Thought to bring 2 bags in with very good condition clothes and few with tags on them. From there they only picked out 2 shorts (got $4). Make sure call ahead to see what are they buying right now so you don't have to haul your bag of clothes. Other than that, it's pretty cool to get something out of it then donating at a goodwill store. Staff was friendly. They could use some smiles tho. read more

Ahhhh yea. I should've checked the reviews before I went here First of this store SMELLS so bad I almost couldn't stay. Reminded me of a thrift store. Then I looked around at the clothes. That's basically what this is. A overpriced thrift store. This is not your normal Plato's. This one accepts trashy, stained, off name brand clothes. The purses were so out of date and the prices were that of Dillards. I wouldn't have put my foot in any of the shoes as none looked like they werent even lysoled. If I wanted goodwill I would've went there. Bet I can find better clothes there than this place. read more

Nice teenage workers who accepted all my gently used clothing at a fair price! Please keep in mind that the clothing they accept is strictly for teens and young adults, so trendy items from brands like Urban Outfitters, Free People, Anthropologie, Brandy Melville, etc... it should be in good or like new condition (i.e. nothing excessively worn out). If you're looking to make significant profit off single items, you're better off selling on an online platform. Plato's makes their money by selling your items for 70% of their value while buying it from you for 30%-40% of it. The clothing I sold to them were clothes I would otherwise donate to Goodwill for free, so it was nice to get rid of the clutter and make some extra cash while doing so. read more

Wish this place wasn't so far otherwise I'd be here on a weekly basis. Welp, before I gave birth, that is. I've been here a handful of times. Once to sell, not so much items sold, but exchanged nonetheless lol Every time I've come here, I've left with a few gems. Perfect baby dolls dresses and large tees for my pregnant belly. Usually items from Forever 21 that cost $5 here at Plato's. Fairly on trend items or just classic basic black and grey colored stuff that matches everything I own. I even came on one of their 70% off clearance sales and despite the madness...the workers were really nice and calm to this preggy lady. Hello, I went to Plato's on a Sunday. It wasn't too busy. Inside it was clean and the dressing rooms were organized. The workers weren't too friendly, but they weren't mean, just disinterested. The clothes are basically what was in fashion 2 to 5 years ago from fast fashion businesses so if you're looking for vintage, this isn't really the place to go. The pricing is reasonable. I wouldn't necessarily recommend this place to go out of your way for it's kinda just like if you're near it and you need some clothes then you should go. read more
