There was a great selection of items and when I went the employees were nice and there were no sense of judgement. Also the clothes are in good condition and look nice as well. read more

Do NOT bring your belonging to this place the owner will stiff you and rip you off your items many times I've been here giving the owner and place many chances but in the end it's not worth it! I also got accused of leaving my belongings there ? In front of people the owner had no respect ! I will never return to this place. The owner is really the main reason because she's always there and just looks completely miserable all the time and she's the main one who tells the employees not to review your items or low ball your items every time. There is a reason why this place has the WORST reviews !! I hope this reaches you before you waste your time walking into this place. read more

Employees are rude. Only Plato's closet I've been to where they take down more than just a name and number for selling clothes lol

Understand why the reviews are crap for here.. the girls are rude , clothes is outdated . Won't buy anything you try to sell them . Even new with tags. I was told it smelled like cigarettes . I don't even smoke.. the clothes has been sitting in the box in my car for months now .. but deff not smoke. Couldnt even refold the clothes after they went through it to take nothing .. funny if it smelled like smoke why go through the whole box . Go to Palm beach location don't come here read more

My friend and I walked in and we were approached by five girls, they looked at my bag filled with clothes that have been sitting in the same give away bag for months. One girl took the bag and put it on the floor and bent down to smell the clothes. She then got up and walked around to each of her employees saying the bag smelt. The girls were all trying to keep their laughing quiet but it was very obvious that they were laughing. The girl came up to the counter and told me that my clothes smell like "weed" and that if I want to sell my clothes I would need to wash them and come back. Mind you, the clothes were clothes that were passed down or given to me that I no longer wanted so I was confused on how they smelled weed. This store needs new employees. ASAP read more

Today, I stopped by wanting to sell some clothes and I have two service animals that came along with me...as I walked in the girls at the front desk stopped me and told me "no pets allowed" and I explained that they were indeed service animals, but then they told me they needed to see documentation??? I have never been somewhere that asks me for my documentation l was so confused and frustrated that I just left, and honestly I'm just in such disbelief because stores and restaurants aren't supposed to ask for documentation like that..do they want me to provide proof of my medical condition too? I will not be returning... read more

Took 35 pieces of my lightly worn office clothes and handbags and other accessories in a box clean and folded. They looked at 2-3 pieces with an immature look of disgust. Surprised I asked, what's wrong? They said everything smelled like smoke and I had to wash it and bring it back separated and folded. Instead of saying what I really wanted, I took my items back and left. These young girls should be retrained not only on mannerism but on business etiquette. read more

I went there with brands like American Eagle, Katie Spade, etc. They were offering $5 dollars each for 2 brand new Oh Polly Dresses. Those dresses are at least $50 dollars each. They offered around the same amount for a Kate Spade bag. When I was taking the items she said it's not about making money which I can understand but don't say that if you are going to purchase the items for low just to sell it for 3x to 4x times you purchased the time for. I've never coming back to this location again. read more

as a first time customer, truthfully, I am disappointed. I went to the Wellington location, hoping to sell some of my items such as Lily, Brooks Brothers, Nike, Adidas, etc. Only get a phone call two hours later that they had only picked 2 to 3 items out of my stuff. when I went to pick up my items of what was left over, I noticed that nothing had been touched. I had asked the front desk if they had taken any of my lily items especially and they said that something was wrong with them. My lily dresses were practically brand new. No stains no rips nothing was wrong. But when asking I was given an attitude about how my clothes should've been cleaner. I had washed everything and folded them the best I could and garbage bags so it was easier. I will never come back to this location. I genuinely wish I can give zero stars. read more

It's a no from me. I used to love Plato's years ago, but it was a different location. I'm not sure if it's just this location or if Plato's has gone downhill over the years in general. I went to sell some clothes and while I was browsing, a literal spider scurried out of a clothing item on the rack. Not to mention, I never received a text or call when my clothes were finished being reviewed, and I was waiting over an hour for about 10 items. When I went back inside to check on the status, they were in fact done and just sitting there. Definitely will not be back. read more

Yesterday, I went to Plato's in Wellington. I was pleasantly disappointed. I reviewed the online website where it is advertised as buying all day, everyday. As the store closes at 6pm, I arrived at 5:22pm. There was an employee at the cash register helping another customer, as I waited there was no greeting nor recognition of arrival. A few minutes later an individual walks over and informs me they aren't taking any more buys today because they are closing. When I questioned the online information the response was sorry we're closing. This was frustrating because I reviewed the online site specifically for this reason prior to arrival. I was there nearly an hour before they closed. Had 1 bag of items and there were no other customers in the store. read more

Plato's Closet Wellington is AMAZING. The store has an impressive selection of gently used, trendy clothing from brands like Nike, American Eagle, and Forever 21, Lululemon, Alo, Brandy. Some even new with tags. Each item is carefully looked through for quality and style, and it shows. They have the cutest selection and it's all in style. it easy to find pieces that look brand new at 1/4th of the original price. Their buy process is amazing. You can bring in your own gently used clothes and, if they meet the store's standards, you can earn cash on the spot. When I arrived the staff members gave me a run down of what they were looking for and helped me understand the process. The staff is super kind, always ready to help, and friendly and welcoming atmosphere. My final words are Platos Closet Wellington is amazing! read more

My sisters and I stopped there because it was on our way and mann customer service=0 The ladies in the front that day were not nice. I like going places where I feel like I am appreciated being there especially if im supporting your business. I asked a question and the ladies there were looking at me sideways and barely even answering my question. Coming back? Most likely not. Except if I see something on their IG that I really like and I wanna grab it. read more

Love this place. I came here last week and found some really good deals and great customer service!

Was told I had stains on all of my clothes, so that is why they didn't buy anything. I know for a fact only 2 old vintage Levi shorts had small stains. But the rest did not have any stains. So I pulled out a brand new romper I never wore from ASOS, that a friend wore once and washed. 0 stains. And the employee turned the romper inside out and said because the cotton on the inside had some fuzzies, and that was considered stained. And the store "does not buy worn out clothes". This is Plato's Closet. Not Dolce & Gabbana. Waited 4.5 hours to be told this. Since I never got a call, after being told I would receive a text after 3 hours. When 4 hours went by, I decided to call and I was told I needed to wait 30 more minutes. But received a text that my pick up was ready 10 minutes later? read more

one of the most out of trend plato's EVER! go to the one in PGA way better brands and way less shein

my 1st time on consignment and I was very disappointed it was about 30 mins before they closed and they made it very clear they are closing soon . I had a bag full of clothes after 10 mins they told me they took 2 items which surprised me cause I bought most of the items there .. they treated me like i gave them a bag of trash and was very rude . I called to speak to a manger and was told she will give me a call back and could not give me her number .. I'm still waiting on a her calling me back i felt as though they were being very lazy and didn't want to be bother with going thru the clothes I will NEVER shop their again and I will make sure none of my friends shop there I'm not upset that they didn't take my clothes I'm upset on the treatment I received . read more

poor customer service manger was rude and did not even look at all of my items. I went in back to back days the first they didn't wanna take my clothes an hour before they close so I came in the next day and they just reject my clothe's. this staff is very lazy and disrespectful. read more

Find lots of cute tops here. It's clean and well organized into types, sizes and colors.

The service the girls that were working there gave was decent they are young working at a used clothing store. However I don't know how that store is making any money the brands they sell in store would seem to appeal to a middle age woman, if that and not a fashionable one. I brought in 2 bags with Abercrombie, Hollister, and VS Pink and a single random workout top from TJMaxx. Guess what they bought? Only the one random top for 90 cents LOL the Plato's in Boca though is worth a trip, they definitely have name brand clothes. read more

First off I've came here about two different times rarely ever found something i liked and If i did it's a win for me. There stuff is all old looking for Wellington being a wealthy area . I've worked at a Plato's closet before so i know the drill on what they take and how it works. When i did work at Plato's the owner would ask the teens what we should buy because she was an older lady who was unsure... maybe this place should too. The first time i came i doubled checked the clothes before brining it in. They took about one item only which is fine but i was confused and they have a "buy" sheet which explains why items were not taken , the girl looks at the paper and it's empty and then makes up a reason. As if I'm stupid?? I went again and gave it a second chance two of my items i bought from the Plato's and they didn't accept them?? The girl didn't even show me what they took and didn't give me a reason as to why the others weren't. I could've had her pull out every item and explain why but I've been in her position before and i didn't wanna hear the lame excuses she pulls out her ass. read more

Went in with a bag full of clothes and was told to go home and wash them then bring them back because they were "in-style" and then will definitely except at least half the items I had. Went home and washed it then went back a week later. Suddenly Lululemon, Urban Outfitters, Zara, and Nike are out of style. Who knew? read more

This place is an absolute disaster, the staffs are just simply rude judgy and hateful. They saw you dress well etc and would hate on you. I waited here for an hour for them to go through my stuff and never receive any notification that my stuff was ready for pickup. They'd just lie through their teeth and waste your time. WOULD NEVER COME BACK AGAIN, terrible. The selections are terrible too read more

This place is the absolute worst I went in trying to sell some shoes that are brand new never worn and are worth 175 dollars and they offered me 9.50!!!! I thought they where joking but they where serious and left immediately they are some lowball scammers because they turn around and sell it for 10x the price that they pay you DON'T SELL TO THIS PLACE read more

Went to look for clothing for my two teens. Staff was rude. Coat that I was interested in was clearly not clean (had a receipt from 2 years prior still in the pocket) and to boot it was overpriced. read more

obviously everyone knows this place sucks. of course the manager is rude to everyone who comes in. i came in with 5 little pieces of perfectly good clothing and i KNOW it was good because i have sold here a lot so i know what they look for. She looked at me and said "no more" because they had a lot of clothes they needed to go through. She didn't even tell me to possibly come later or maybe even tomorrow. They are so bad with customer service it's actually ridiculous. they need to get shut down at this point. 1.5 stars is insane. read more

This place has zero customer service and offer the lowest possible, purely insulting experience .

Plato's Closet in Wellington is just terrible they have a terrible selection of clothes and who ever manages it only buys clothes that are horrible and not in style. I rather drive to the one in Palm Beach Gardens because they have a nicer staff and impeccable clothing selection. Wellington is just not worth wasting time and gas to go there. read more

Horrible rude staff. Didn't pick up my money the same day I dropped off my clothes. I ask to speak to a manger she gets an attitude says I'm the manager. Rude , rude rude! Terrible customer service. The employees and management are always miserable and angry. It ihas always been a miserable experience , each of the 3x I've been in their. I have absolutely adored going to platos closet for years. when i travel around the state i like to see what types of clothes each plato's has. This location is my local one, and i actually got pretty lucky because the merchandise here is always great. They do a really good job at shopping for clothes when you bring them in, and the reason they don't buy a bunch of clothes is because they need to keep their store up to date and up to standard! There are lots of variables when it comes to buying clothes that people do not know about. Whenever i come here i'm always greeted when i walk in the door, and if i need help with anything i could just simply ask. The employees here are very friendly and always treat me with respect. read more

Use to be a loyal costumer until recently when I dealt with a very very rude employee. No greetings Horrible costumer service Staff is always gossiping Staff will actually talk back at you, be disrespectful, argue back and even kick you out Horrible last experience there No costumer should ever be treaded with that amount of disrespect specially if you are spending the money that keeps that store in business Management needs to get on these girls read more

The staff there is horrible!! Simply horrible and rude. Worse experience to have is with them. They honestly probably don't even take their time to look at the clothes. I brought some clothes in that I bought a month ago and never worn. They had price tags still on them and yet, the staff refused to take them saying they look worn and old. But the price tags were still on them and they were still on stocks in stores. So I dig through my bag for the receipts of the items (so glad I found) and returned them to their stores which gladly took them back. read more

Terrible customer service. Chinese girl was very rude. They miscounted my items they bought from me and now I'm missing a pair of lulu lemon pants. Definitely go to another location! read more

Walked in twice. Walked out twice empty handed. Selection is pretty basic--nothing of any real value. Other Plato's have Coach bags, Longchamp bags, an amazing selection of clothes and shoes and a clean, well managed set up. This store is messy, disorganized and tends to look like the clearance section at Marshall's. Staff is rude. Not once was I greeted or helped. If you want to experience real service and real selection, make the drive to the one in Boynton Beach. read more

Very rude manager. I'm not sure who she is but she started a huge argument. I come here to look for cloths and leave. She started yelling at us because my moms mask fell a little off her nose and she was adjusting it. My mom has her vaccine and still wears her mask. I don't know what customer service they are using at this Plato's. Either way this ignorant behavior isn't okay I hope they treat customers better after this horrible experience. read more

Awful customer service, really disappointed. All of the workers were leaning against the counters and gossiping.
