On three separate Friday's around 1 PM, I've watched associates remove the "color of the week" clothing from the racks and place it onto an Z-rack. When customers try to look through those items, they are told not to take anything off the rack. I asked an associate why the color of the week was being pulled while customers were still shopping. I was told they needed the hangers and that the sale color was ending the next day or so anyway. If that's the store's policy, it seems misleading to advertise a weekly color discount while actively removing those items from the floor before the week is over. Shoppers who come later in the day are essentially being denied access to the same sale items others had earlier. Management may want to look into this practice, because it creates a frustrating and inconsistent experience for customers.

Along the left wall and in the back and on top of some clothing shelves are the miscellaneous stuff and bric a brac. Some things are reasonably priced and others are just crazy expensive -- especially for a thrift store. We browsed, but didn't wind up buying anything. Nothing really jumped out and to me, most of the clothing seemed rather cheap in quality. I'm glad we stopped by though. Now we know.

The parking isn't vast so one could run into a pickle if shopping on the weekend. Business hours are limited so I recommend checking these out before visiting. The store is two stories. The second story is housed with art and furniture. The first story offers a wide variety of merchandise. Some items available include accessories, books, collectibles, clothing, housewares, and small furniture items. They offer weekly specials and have a convenient sheet outlining these for customers to grab on their way into the store. Overall, I found most of the merchandise to be fairly priced with the exception of clothing. I thought many garments were overpriced. I left with a few collectible items and I'd absolutely return. Finally, Christina and her fellow team member are extremely friendly and provided us with excellent customer service.

Staff were friendly and greeted us when we came in. For the most part, they let you shop without assistance, unless you ask someone for help. The store carries everything from home decor, furniture, clothing, accessories, shoes, books, entertainment, and kitchenware items. All of the areas were clearly labeled and marked, which makes it easy to find what you are looking for. Personally I didn't buy anything there, but what I did see seemed to be priced very fairly and reasonably. Good option for those on a budget or those looking for items without paying retail pricing. There are multiple designated spots in the plaza labeled for the shop. If you are shopping at other businesses in the area, please be mindful as the signs for Nearly New warn that they will tow people who are not shopping in their store for parking for other businesses.

I can only guess that decision-making ability was not a hiring factor. I've found some good bargains while seeing pricing on some items way too high. In 1852, in England, William Booth and his wife Catherine were inspired by the gospel of Jesus…read moreChrist to take their ministry directly to the streets. Rejecting the traditional church pulpit, they preached to those most in need, including the poor, homeless, hungry, and destitute. Despite disapproval from the established church, they trained evangelists across England and, in 1875, returned to London's West End to form the Christian Mission. In 1878, while reading the mission's annual report, William Booth noticed the phrase "The Christian Mission is a volunteer army." He famously crossed out volunteer army and replaced it with Salvation Army. From that point on, converts became "soldiers of Christ" or Salvationists. Their message spread quickly, and today the Salvation Army serves in over 100 countries. The Salvation Army operates churches worldwide, known as Salvation Army Corps, but they are probably best known for their thrift stores. Purchases at these stores fund local emergency relief efforts and programs, including services in Palm Beach County. Many locations also support Adult Rehabilitation Centers, helping individuals combat addiction, and the organization is known for hiring ex-felons. Every donation or purchase directly contributes to meaningful community programs. I discovered this Salvation Army store while driving through Lake Worth. Although the exterior was a bit cluttered with plastic tubs and bikes, the inside was clean, organized, and inviting. Inventory included like-new home goods, small appliances, art, furniture, linens, books, toys, and a large selection of clothing and accessories. Notably, there was beautiful furniture--a wood bed and an intricate wooden buffet table--and even a wedding dress. Thrifting not only helps people save money but also keeps items out of landfills. The Salvation Army welcomes donations of gently used clothing, furniture, household goods, appliances, and even vehicles. Whether you're hunting for vintage treasures, everyday essentials, or just browsing for a good deal, this store deserves a spot on your Palm Beach County thrift list.
