We had no idea what to expect. I called the night before to be sure we did not need to make a reservation and talked to Martha who was warm and welcoming - she said come on down! We arrived at 5PM and were greeted by a lovely young lady - 94 years old and teaching 2 exercise classes there a week. We gave her our money and got a ticket to turn into the cook. We went into the community room and there were 4 round and 1 large rectangular tables covered in multicolored table cloths and gold vases with brightly colored plastic flowers. The tables were set with cutlery and place mats and some "Golden Oldies" playing in the background. It was open seating and the 4 of us met quite the characters! Lily was celebrating her 81st birthday and was full of energy - joking with everyone and greeting you like an old friend. What struck me was everyone was laughing and enjoying some good, old-fashioned conversation. The meal was a thicker spaghetti noodle, a good side of salad and a slice of watermelon. In addition, strawberry shortcake - served by Lily - for dessert - a deal at 5 bucks! Wine was extra for a donation to the center - they were serving a red Yellowtail. The dinners are served the 3rd Thursday of every month - next up? Pizza night! You can count on us being there again to mingle with the generations and have a good laugh. Other services they offer: Senior Programs, Preschool and other Kid's Programs, Wellness Clinic, Yoga, Zumba and Tae Kwon Do classes. Something for everyone!

I have left them several messages and nobody has even bothered to give me a call back. I have even reached out to see if someone could come and help do a little light housekeeping..still no response. I remember when I first signed up with this program several years ago I was told, on several occasions, because I live way out east that it was difficult to get anybody to come out this far. I was also made aware that they usually do stuff more on the west side of town. At least they used to give a call back with whatever reason they have for not being able to find anybody to come way out .

We had such a fun time. The ladies working there were super nice and welcoming. They have cute items for sale and all of the proceeds go to the charity. Wonderful place with a wonderful cause!

They told us that the proceeds from everything they sell goes back into the charity - and they had some nice merchandise. They also let people come in and paint the canvas bags they fill with art supplies to donate to children in need. There is no cost - except your time. They donate to anyone who needs them - here and throughout the world. They appreciate walk-ins - to paint and fill the bags - but they also accept reservations for bigger groups. They have a sponsorship special for $300 where they provide wine and appetizers for a larger group to come in and paint and fill bags. Such a worthwhile charity!

The space was just what we needed and having nice padded chairs was a big plus. After packing up we realized a valuable hand made child's rocking chair was missing. The follow up by park staff included a review of security camera footage- showing exactly where it went..a communication mix up on our end- the chair was with us! I cannot say enough to support our wonderful experience and encourage others to consider the space for their events.

We went to visit the CSU Spur complex at the National Western Center on a quiet, non-Stock Show…read moreafternoon. I, of course, had read about the construction of these facilities, but the reality blew me away. We mostly wandered around awestruck at the scope and quality of what CSU has created for their branch in Denver. There are three buildings, each with a different focus. Hydro deals with water, Terra with food, and Vida with animal health, including the Temple Grandin Equine Center and a partnership with Humane Colorado. These are research/education centers with a strong connection to the public via labs, workshops, and interactive exhibits. CSU experts in agriculture, water quality, and veterinary science provide K-12 programs, summer camps, and higher education as a hub for innovation and community engagement. Major components of Hydro include the Denver Water Quality Laboratory, the CSU offices, multiple conference rooms and classrooms, multiple exhibits about water, the Confluence Theater, the Hydro Teaching Lab, the Sensory Room, a nicely landscaped outdoor patio, and the Little Finch coffee shop/café. Terra offers a teaching kitchen; labs for sensory testing, dairy, produce, and meat; the community food/sensory garden; conference rooms; the Controlled Environment Horticulture Lab; multiple exhibits; classrooms; the Learning Lab; labs for microbiology, molecular biology, water, instruments, and soil/plants; and the hydroponic greenhouse. The key features of Vida are the Humane Colorado Veterinary Hospital, the Temple Grandin Equine Center, and the Equine Sports Medicine Rehabilitation and Conditioning Center. Other highlights are extensive art exhibits, the virtual reality anatomy classroom, the observation areas for the on-view surgical suite and spay/neuter clinic; and observation of the horse arena and the Sports Medicine rehabilitation facilities plus numerous exhibits throughout the building explaining all of these functions. Thank goodness for the coffee shop as we were overwhelmed just by the experience of walking through the buildings and needed a break to regroup. These facilities are amazing and many functions are available to the public for help, inquiry, and learning.

Went in to find a Jacket but they didn't have a lightweight one. Crowded due to holiday but I…read moremanaged to snag a fitting room. Tried on several outfits for a business trip but only ended up with a couple of items. The prices are not as good as a regular Goodwill because it's a branded store. Associate was friendly. Restroom available upon request. Parking in shared lot which is a challenge if store is busy.
