No Yelp pg for LQHS proper, so guess the review goes here. +…read moreGrateful for the AP classes offered here to kickstart my college career. Saved me time and $ to help pursue higher (under)graduate studies sooner and more productively. - Never realized how much the workout cage resembled a prison yard. - No pickleball courts. Qué lástima. - The literature teachers weren't good at teaching logical students how to excel in the arts. + The sciences teachers were excellent at teaching us the sciences and maths. Glad they were passionate about their fields too. - Their dance club organization was poorly executed. For every assembly performance, you were required to show up to practice 4am the day of or else you wouldn't be allowed to participate, even if you had been loyally attending all weekly practices prior. Since their 2025 remodeling, nothing's recognizable to us old alumni anymore. Fresh new grounds and buildings. Revitalized look.

Smacked her daughter so loud you could hear it with all the noise inside. I watched as the daughter was about to eat a sample only to be smacked! The daughter just looked straight ahead and took the verbal lashing her mom gave her. A teenage boy soon arrived to say only a few words only to be loudly scolded by the narcissistic mom, boy looked down in silence. I am familiar with those behaviors, looking down as it's a familiar feeling by my own mother. Neither child said a word. Why? Because they are used to being berated and if you even dare attempt to defend yourself, well be ready to be beat or unjustly accused of attitude for speaking up. Dear mom, I can only imagine who you treat your child in private if you so boldly assault your child in public. Seeing your face with that heavy eyeliner and trashy fake lashes brings back unpleasant memories of my own mother. Your behavior represents that high school simply by wearing it. DO BETTER.

It was, to say the least, terrifying to practice our backwards marching on a bumpy grass ground, as opposed to the smooth concrete floors that we should have had made available during this warm up. It's almost as if we were set up to fail, or that they were doing everything they could to encourage us to earn a low score. I truly do understand this effort, as I know that our school does pose as a threat towards others wishing to earn the title of first place. Next, to assess this schools environment, we will look to the overall vibe conveyed. I and other performers agree that a "fall feeling" was in the air. Nice trees, fallen leaves, and a peaceful area around our unloading and bus area. The halls were nice, and, to summarize, you could say we were grateful for the richness of this school, but also for the lack of money to make this one of those huge schools you could get lost in. Congratulations to Bolsa Grande HS for earning these four stars. -Marching Band Pro Performers

Interactions often feel extremely unprofessional, with excessive gossip and behavior that make students uncomfortable. He comes off as passive aggressive often and will make inappropriate remarks about students to their faces as a "joke". If he doesn't take a liking to you for some apparent reason, he will go out of his way to show it. There has also been incidents where he is insulting students appearances to other students. Rather than treating students fairly and respectfully, he seems to prioritize a select few, creating an unfair classroom environment. In his class, he hardly teaches leaving students without instruction and support they are meant to receive. His demeanor is just plain rude and unprofessional and disappointing as someone who is meant to teach young people. As he is someone who represents the school, I found his behavior towards students extremely repulsive and miserable. This has significantly affected my overall impression, and experience of the school. I strongly believe that school administrators should reevaluate his role as a teacher here at Vista View if they want students to feel welcomed.

This isn't even personal. Some teachers need to get fired. "Teaching" the same method of decades yet learning conditions were awful in one chemistry class to the point I could not pay attention without feeling stressed by the mess. Not only that, the teacher would introduce new concepts everyday with little to no elaboration, repetition, or awareness for learning styles. He presented summaries of things in the unit and the class was highly unorganized.. half the kids cheated in his class and they still cheat. They need to have a system for yearly quality checks for classrooms.. it benefits everyone. I'm not going to call out bad names. Mr. Lee, though, is one of the best chemistry teachers if not of the entire nation, the entire school. I transferred to his Chem Comm class after I had an F in Chemistry (now called chemistry honors) class. I missed school many times due to mental health and medical reasons, but his class never was distressing. Mind you, I told my counselor to transfer me out three weeks at the start of school.. where I already had a C.. she said no. Absurd. Spanish teachers are great. English teachers are efficient. Another thing is that when I was new to the MUN program in my freshman year, it was inefficient and I had a C average for my MUN class because organizing everything was hectic, teachers learning how to mix MUN with casual learning. This year's MUN was great and I think it's amazing, great investment. School food is good for "school food." I wouldn't recommend /this school/, but I would recommend some teachers here. Not only that, they didn't give my sister her graduation paper because her "name was too long." It's four syllables/words, last name six letters, the rest are each only three letters. So ridiculous. 05/09/2023 Ah, Taco…read moreTuesday. The pinnacle of every mediocre, sluggish, monotonous second day of the repetitive nature of school. Today in particular I did not have a club meeting for Illumination Foundation, as I usually do every Tuesday. Immediately when the bell rang indicating fourth period ended, I sped-walked to the outdoor lunch lines, hoping to snatch whatever was left of the infamous tacos. Thankfully, nowadays, there are always still a handful left even halfway into lunch. I frantically searched for my ID screenshot in the depths of my photos and thanked the cafeteria worker for the box of tacos as I quickly grabbed an apple juice carton. Finally, I am seated and can enjoy these bad boys. Sometime 10/08/2024 Woah. I never finished this review. I think it tasted good? Idk I lost the photo of this but imagine a black plastic container with two pieces of tortilla holding together ground beef mixed in with the cheapest American Cheddar cheese. Go Barons!
