But, I bought Volcom board shorts a few weeks ago at a St. Vinnie's, so I told my husband I wanted to see if they had new ones in here. Cool. He is always happy to buy me new clothes. What woman doesn't love a husband who's happily willing to buy their wife more clothes?! We wandered around, and didn't find any. So we ask an employee. This employee had greeted us when we first came in, so he got props for that. Totally inviting and wanted to help, but not annoying. I like that I'm acknowledged when I come in, but I hate employees who want to know if I need something immediately. Give me a chance to look around and determine if I have questions first. The employee who helped us almost seemed out of place. He gave off a nerd persona versus a skater. A little odd, but I don't really care. He bonded with my husband talking about the video games we had just picked up at Game Stop. He was actually really nice and helpful. So I asked him about board shorts for me. He didn't have any. So he showed me the shorts they have for women. Which were tiny, ass-hanging-out kind of shorts. I'm like, do you see my figure?! My thighs are way too big to pull off short shorts! I know this, and I'm fine with it. But I thought it was a tad on the dumb side for him to suggest it, but it could've been he was just trying to give me options instead of saying exactly what I did for him. I'll stay on the positive side and go with he was trying to give me options. Anyway, he showed me these and men's board shorts, saying this was it at the time. Ok, not liking any of those options, I move on. I find a cute shirt/sweater thing. I have trouble describing it. It's like crocheted, but has long sleeves and a hood. It definitely requires a shirt underneath, as it has holes in it. But the cream color can compliment a dark shirt easily. I liked it. We go to cash out, and the employee tells us about a buy one, get one half off sale. I love those sales! So we found my husband a new shirt. Dude destroys clothes, and has lost weight. So he honestly needed some new, and smaller shirts. So we found a Volcom shirt and ended up only paying $11.99 for it. He signed me up for some point system they have. My first thought was, I don't go to Zumiez all that often, so does it really matter? But then I think, ehh. Maybe I'll visit the one at home more often this way. So I signed up. Will I return to this store? When I'm in the area, I'm sure I will. I wasn't terribly impressed by the size of the store, but Zumiez stores always seem a tad small. I was impressed by the employee and his customer service skills. He was helpful without annoying me, or ignoring me. He definitely did a good job. This store has a section dedicated to both University of Oregon and Oregon State collegiate wear, convenient for new students and alumni. If you need storage, there are usually dorm and moving essentials on hand, such as totes, easy to assemble shelves and drawers. There is also a better selection of clothing, footwear, outerwear and accessories (purses, backpacks, hats, and jewelry) here thanks to the evolving student body. If you need a book for a class, their shelves are bursting in all genres. I found a beautiful Indigenous children's book, a handful of modern Little Golden Books; including Dolly Parton, Elvis, and The Golden Girls, and several vintage The Far Side books by Gary Larson. Everything I purchased was in like new condition. I'm sure the Portland Leather clutch ($8) will be a nice gift for a dear friend, that is, if I don't keep it for myself!

so here's the brutal truth John seems like a pretty knowledgeable guy. With that being said, I did…read morenot like the experience there. Especially being a beginner just getting into archery. anyways from my experience there John could really care less about you, me, or anyone else he isn't close friends with. he seemed in a hurry every time I went In to question about things like draw length, peep placement, poundage or really anything that took up his time. he was quick to dismiss questions, was not helpful and I felt like I was a burden asking him to do simple things like change draw length. even after buying a brand new bow which he most definitely over charged me for. All in all id say even with all the experience he may have it makes little to no difference when you've got bad customer service. I am very much under the impression he cares little about the help and satisfaction of his customers except like I said people he personally knows. I couldn't even get him to tune my bow even though I know something isn't quit right he was quick to dismiss me as whatever. So to sum it up if you're new to archery, thinking of getting into archery, or just want to check things out. DO NOT GO TO THE ARCHERY HUT. Go somewhere that's actually going to care about your over all experience and help you find what works best for you. if you don't you'll end up having to pay someone else to do all your bow set up for you. Because as far as im aware its common practice for whatever bow shop you by from to actually set your bow up according to you specifically. and not just let it go out straight off the rack.
