Ok, if your kid (or you) plays sports this place SHOULD be very much on your Radar as a one stop equipment stop for everything from Hockey to Skiing to football and baseball. Lets get right to it : USED EQUIPMENT is awesome for both quality and cost effectiveness. I have two kids who love hockey. I could barely afford all the equipment without this place. Sticks, tape, pucks, pads, new helmets, training aids, skates and sharpening service are always on our families list and we can check those off it at far better cost effectiveness here. Crap shoot if you sell gear here. The first time I sold gear to them, they were very professional about it. They offered me paperwork to cash or consign it. So I decided to go back to them after my husband said I could sell my daughter's Lacrosse gear because she doesn't play lacrosse any more. This was a mistake. I went in and had to wait 20 minutes for someone to assess my gear. I had a couple of Lacrosse sticks from Walmart he didn't want. I took them and he asked me if I wanted them. Seemed odd to me, like he wanted me to donate them to the store. The rest was all in a Brine Lacrosse bag. I didn't even know what was in the bag besides balls, gloves, and a stick. I thought that he was going to take things out and assess them. He unzipped the bag part way, then zipped it back up real quick. He didn't take anything out to examine it. He offered me $10. No paperwork, no consignment offer. He only asked my phone number and that was it. The whole thing seemed shady but the store was very busy, I'd already been there for a while so I took the money. I figured it must not be worth much or maybe it was hard to resell. I didn't see any gear in the store like it. I picked my daughter up from school and gave her the money since it was her gear. She was shocked! She stated that she knew her dad spent a lot of money on the gear. When I got home, I talked to my husband. He was absolutely mortified and mad that I took $10 for everything. I just sold over $200 of high quality Lacrosse gear that was purchased from Dick's Sporting goods for $10. I see a lot of reviews saying you can buy good gear for great prices. That's because they rip off the people they buy from. Do your research on what your stuff us worth, if it seems shady then it probably is, and don't sell to them, if you want a fair price! read more

After being transplanted from the city-that-never-sleeps, the husband declared he could NOT spend another miserable winter cooped up inside. Not happy with any of the activities I enjoy, he decides to learn a new sport: snowboarding. A few trips to Bristol and he was hooked. I, however, was not too pleased with the price tag involved. Buddies kept trying to persuade him to buy his own equipment to avoid the rental fees, which sounded like a great idea to me...until we started shopping around. I'm not forking over part of my vacation budget for something he uses maybe six to seven times a year! I would peruse Craigslist now and again, but most of the used boards looked like they were ready for hospice. A friend recommended Play It Again. It was a Monday evening and there were three employees working. One of them (perhaps his name was Brandon?) scooted over to us. He wasn't a slick salesman, but shared his knowledge with us and answered our questions to the best of his abilities. He was friendly, unhurried, and encouraging. While naturally they sell used items, my husband ultimately bought a new board and gear. None of it is super-high quality, but he's not going to be performing flips or crazy rotations any time soon. The equipment will suffice and the board, bindings, boots, helmut, and goggles totaled less than what a mere board cost at other shops. From what I observed, the other two employees seemed as courteous as Brandon. They were aware of exactly what they stocked and were willing to give folks alternative suggestions if they could not help them. read more

These people know nothing about sizing and setting up ski equipment!! Was a NIGHTMARE and they made no apologies at any point for all the trouble. Went in to buy a XC ski set up for my husband and I. The owner sold me a package that included ski's that were about 20cm too small and a pair of poles for my husband that we're 10cm too big. So neither package worked! Ended up having to go back to the store 4 times in 24 hours to repeatedly return and exchange pieces of equipment to try and get all of the ski's, bindings, boots and poles to work together... including spending hours traveling all over the county and scouring the internet to find parts to make up for all of the incorrect gear sales and returns that they kept selling us. Just hungry for selling suckers gear they can't use to get $$$. Oh... and the daddy-daughter relationship there with the owners is a bit weird "Oh yeah? Well my dad is owner of this store and he's the best so...". Anyone can own a store... good managers pride themselves on their knowledge about the products they sell and having honesty, integrity and most of all, good customer service. read more

The team at was very good from the 2 times I visited the store and made the purchase. They were very forthright, and patient with me and my wife. I called and ordered it over the phone to save a trip and the woman was very pleasant on the phone taking my order. No pressure and much honesty. Great prices, picked up myself some new Baure skates (after skating in my Grafs for 19 years, miss my Grafs :(((... Anyway, great service, young guy did a superb skate sharpening job, best ever, blade grinds into the ice and chips of ice fly out from under, best grip blade to ice ever !!! Came in got some sticks, pucks, net for my son... Will be coming back to get winter equipment once the snow falls ! read more

Our family has purchased hockey equipment here a number of times, and each time the experience has been quite good. Their advice has been excellent and they have been more than accommodating. The equipment is for my grandson, who lives half way across the country and in a location where the assortment of good used hockey equipment is abysmal. When he is there and I am here each purchase involves numerous conversations back and forth, texting photos, and, most recently, a Face Time "meeting" between the player and a pair of goalie leg pads. Staff at Play It Again has taken it all in stride, with great humor, and given us all the time and help that we needed. read more
