Delicious bowls! This is one of these few locations that offer a mango base, which great if you don't like the açaí base and pitaya (dragon fruit) or just want to try something new. This is always a hit in our house because what teenage girl doesn't love açaí bowls. We got two bowls...coconut and açaí. My husband got a oatmeal bowl. The service was great and it was very clean. My only feedback was....my mango was not ripe at all so it had a horrible taste and my husbands oatmeal bowl was a little lack luster. Overall still great for a chain. read more

I tried a mixed base bowl last night - Togo! Two amazing bowl combinations in one - the banana strawberry coconut milk base from the Stupid Cupid bowl, and the Pitaya base Electric Mermaid bowl. I've never been to an "açaí bowl" shop with So many options! I stood there for a good 2 minutes deciding to what I wanted bc too many things sounded amazing. I'm really happy with my choice. I would happily order the exact same thing if I went again; but if you are like me, we gotta try more things! I will say playa bowls did just move to my top 3 spots here in Jax to order a bowl like this! It was slam full, traveled well, all of the fruit was fresh - not soggy or spoiled what so ever, I had some white chocolate drizzle on the top, and my bowl was not melted at all by the time that I got home to eat this. I cannot think of any ways this place could get any better, seriously. I mean Look how cute the design of the store is! I've been wanting to go here so bad ever since a fellow Yelp elite/social media creator mentioned how delicious this place was! (thanks alexa) I'm so glad I finally made it in. The TownCenter is such a good location too. This place is in the same shopping plaza as Panera Bread. They even had Siiick skull stickers to take home (for free) that I definitely grabbed on the way out to add some swag to my obnoxiously big, gym water bottle. I love Playa Bowls, sometimes I come 2-3xs a week and it's not cheap. I recommend not coming at 8:30pm. They close at 9pm. You will not be greeted and you will get someone who speed talks you for your order. A friend of mine told me about this place and I've been dying to try it. I was nearby and decided to stop in. I'm so glad I did. The place is new and clean. The color and music give you a vacation or island vibe. You can smell the fresh fruit as soon as you hit the door. The menu is robust so it took me a minute to decide. I was conflicted because I wanted an acai base but I also wanted a green base. That's when the cashier advised me I could do half and half! That was perfect. I chose the Nutella toppings, minus the shaved coconut. They allowed me to substitute the coconut at no extra charge so I chose sliced almonds. I took the bowl to go and the packaging was even nicer. It was a tight lid which is perfect for my clumsiness. I drove across the way and waited til I was seated to open the bowl after the first bite I knew this was my new favorite smoothie bowl spot. All the fruit was fresh, and the bases were cold but not frozen but cold enough to not be a slushy after holding it in my hands for some time. I haven't stopped thinking about it since I left. My only negative is that there isn't one on the Westside closee to me but hopefully the owners see this and work on that problem lol. read more

I came back again and everything was even better than it was the first time! I came around noon, and the natural light coming in the giant windows completely changes the vibe. I came at night last time, so things felt more bright and upbeat. This time I ordered a regular cold brew with oat milk (no flavorings). It was the perfect pick me up that I needed! Tried this place via Uber eats today and it definitely been added to my Jax favorite açaí/smoothie bowl locations. I'm a fan of Nutella on my green smoothie bowls and this place is one of few that can make that happen. The presentation of the bowl was beautiful. They put the perfect amount of Nutella topping on the bowl, not too much as I've had before. I decided to order the Nutella Açaí bowl and do a half greens base with additional granola and Goji berries. This combination was so amazing. So much so I forgot to take a picture of the bowl before devouring it. I also ordered a Mermaid fuel juice and added Ginger. This location is at the town center it was easy to find and see. It has seating inside and a huge menu. I wasn't feeling adventurous but I tried their chicory coffee cold brew which is made from the chicory root (it is popular in New Orleans). They didn't have any soy milk which was a bummer but I got it with oat milk and a side of fruit which included the biggest blueberries I ever seen! Along with strawberries and diced pineapple. Went there for a healthy meal. Saw on their site they are a "healthy treat". The Apple Asai bowl was about 140g of carbs and 60 some grams of sugar and about 300 calories.
