Today was our first time coming to this restaurant. We received a $50 gift card through an Instagram drawing so we didn't have an actual gift card when we arrived. I wasn't really sure how it was going to work out -- but when we arrived we took a look at the menu and then explain the situation to the friendly cashier at the counter. There were no issues from there. We spent about $50 on two meals and two drinks (not including tip). We ordered the Burrito Mexicano, Pink Protein Pancakes (with eggs), Morning Energizer (I believe that's what it was called), & a matcha latte. The pancakes were made using beet flour which you can definitely taste. I actually enjoy the taste of beets but if you don't, maybe don't order those. The eggs weren't our favorite thing in the world, but they were warm & got the job done. The order also came with a variety of fresh fruit. I appreciated that I didn't come to any piece of fruit that was overly ripe. I really liked the burrito but next time I think I would add some kind of breakfast meat to it. Accompanying me for the meal was my 15 month old daughter. When we arrived, I didn't see any high chairs. I was a little concerned about how the meal was going to go without one... but after we ordered and sat down the hostess grabbed a highchair for us (which was clean). My favorite things we ordered were the two drinks. My daughter and I actually both drink those together and surprisingly her favorite was the morning energizer (which had the beet juice). We sat indoors, but there is somewhat of an outdoor patio if the weather was nice and you wanted to sit outdoor. Indoor seating had a variety of options from comfy chairs (that gave coffee shop vibes), to regular dining chairs. I also appreciated that though there was some music playing in their speakers -- It wasn't too loud. Something that really impressed me was: the second we finished a plate and pushed it aside (so my 15 month old wouldn't play with it) the hostess immediately took it away from us. There was no wait. The complementary water that is brought to the table tasted clean and without chlorine. All of the food was fresh tasting, and we enjoyed the interactions we had with all of the staff we spoke to. We started our experience with the Energy Renewal smoothie which is a dreamy blend of sweetness. Substituted the whey protein for vegan protein. Next we had the Egg protein bowl, obviously substituted the egg for tempeh on mine and my partner substituted the egg for mushrooms. They are vegan friendly here and very open to make substitutions to better suit your needs. All of the staff are helpful and courteous. We finished our meal with the vegan chocolate chip cookie. The açaí bowls here are a generous size (I couldn't even finish mine!) and so refreshing on a hot FL day. The Green Caribbean smoothie is also a winner & it's my go to along with their green juices. The staff was so kind and welcoming from the moment I walked in until I left. I did however order an iced strawberry latte and instead received a hot plain one, but the vibe was so chill I just went with it & it was still a solid latte! I am a bit delayed on this review but I was recently thinking about it and definitely need and want to go back. I can't recall the name of dish I ordered but it was steak, over a bed of rice and mushrooms and one of their freshly pressed juice. The restaurant makes you feel like you are at a restaurant near the beach. The staff were wonderful. There is limited sitting so I would say the earlier you go the better. So impressed with Kairos! Beautifully decorated with a modern organic, relaxing music, and plenty of seating in the main area and separate rooms that are perfect for working. Service was very attentive, you order at the cashier but food is brought to you. From the lighting to the silverware, everything feels very upscale. We got the chimichurri steak bowl with a caesar side salad and açaí bowl and they were very delicious. Awesome spot for a quick smoothie after a workout, their fresh juices are made daily and great for a cleanse or just to get some extra greens/ nutrients in and their lunch options are great for a sit down bite to eat. I visited their new location today for the grand opening and was blown away by the elegance and beautiful, modern decor. They also had a DJ playing all the jams for the grand opening. The new space is much larger than the last space with a large separate room that would be great if they offer the option to rent to private parties. 5 stars for my first visit at Kairos! A local business that has a drive thru?! Yes please! I had an appointment nearby and decided to swing by to pick up a salad. I browsed the menu online before I got there. I tried the Super Food Bowl: Kale, quinoa, sprouts, pumpkin seeds, goji berries, avocado, sweet potatoes & kale dressing. You have the option to add protein, but I didn't. I also tried the detox green juice: pineapple, cucumber, celery, spinach, ginger & lemon. Both were delicious! The woman that helped me at the drive thru was friendly and quick. I had a great experience. I ate my salad at home and saved the juice for the next morning. Probably the cleanest bowl you can get at any drive thru in Jax. My favorite is a build your own bowl with spring mix, quinoa, grilled mushrooms, buffalo cauliflower, and steak with the chimichurri sauce. Excellent no filler foods, but you will pay the $17-20 per meal for the quality. They also have fresh squeezed juices of many kinds starting at $7 for 12oz which just feels steep to me but might be right on track with other juice bars. Regardless, the drive thru Kairos offers makes it head and shoulders the healthiest option you can eat without getting out of your car. read more
