We followed her as instructed, and passed window booths to be placed (pause, deep breath) next to the bathrooms. Um, no. This will not do. But we were polite. The young woman literally slammed the menus down on the table, and walked off in a huff into the kitchen leaving another person to quickly come up and bring us to a table. Suddenly, our brunch mood dissipated, and we felt our welcome had quickly chilled. We apologized for putting anyone in a bad mood and got up and walked out the door. Of course, they apologized as well, but the deed had been done. I do not want anyone in the kitchen that is angry with me. The kicker is that there is another brunch spot nearer home than this one. The employee bringing out food and drinks kept playing with her hair because it was constantly falling in her face, then continued handling customers' orders. The person making the coffee also had her hair down. In my opinion, anyone preparing or serving food should have their hair secured and wear gloves when appropriate. Parking was probably the biggest inconvenience. Nearly every surrounding business has signs stating "Parking for customers only," which makes finding a place to park difficult.
