I know some people comment on the prices, but organic, high-quality ingredients cost more, and that's something many people don't realize. Wow this place is incredible. We stopped in on a cross country road trip on a whim due to their vegan options! This place blew me away, the food was amazing. My husband got the pad thai salad and I got the co-op burger subbed for the veggie patty with a small soup. The soup was a spicy sweet potato kale one and it was flavorful with the perfect level of spicy and sweet. The burger was so unique and the veggie patty was the best one I have ever had. The coffee was good with unique flavors but the flavor was less intense than I would have hoped since they sounded great. But not bad! The service was really good; the staff was friendly and helpful with ordering and explaining menu items. I loved Five Mile Eatery on my weekend trip to Lafayette, I went twice! There aren't a ton of healthy options in Lafayette so I appreciated the options here. The food is egregiously overpriced and disappointingly bland, especially if you need allergy modifications. Also, I have been fed dairy there many times despite alerting them of my allergy, which probably half of those times were from cross contamination. But the menu does not properly mark out allergies warnings in the food so be careful especially if you have severe reactions! The service there sucked and is remarkably slow!!! Be careful if you go cause you can tell the owners HATE interacting with customers. Best Lunch I have had in years! The farm-to-table menu made it even more delectable. The table service was great...when the waitress saw that your drink was getting low, it was immediately refilled. Whole grain mustard cuts the richness of the burger patty and the pickles were wonderful. Spring mix salad with sliced cherry tomatoes. Nice serving size as well. All ingredients were fresh. I'm a sucker for healthy food spots. This place is fire and innovative. Love the small retail section. The service was great. I love that they offer local goat milk as a milk option. I got espresso with goat milk, honey and matcha. So good. For the food, the probiotic yogurt - amazing. Also I noticed they have a tinned fish plate. Didn't try but I adore the concept and will try it next time! They also sell small flower arrangements which was extremely convenient as I was going to the hospital next door to visit someone.
