Worth the trip. Every...single...time! Not that it's far at all, but this place trumps another local açaí bowl place in a big way. We are always warmly greeted upon entering and the vibe is always positive. Even though we set out to try something new each time, we always default to our favorite, the Nutella Bowl. Not sure where they get their fruit from, but it's always insanely fresh. Even in the dead of winter. They're not stingy with the açai, nor are they stingy with the toppings. I went to this location for the first time, but have been to Playa Bowls in the past. The store was all decorated for Açaí day. They didn't mention there were special promos for today, so I went ahead and ordered my Nutella bowl. They made it very quickly and all of the ingredients were really fresh. I was disappointed to see later on their Instagram that they were offering $5 off the bowls today only. The employee who rang me up didn't mention that. I paid $15 for my Nutella bowl, and while it was good, it was overpriced in my opinion. read more

Came back 2 days in a row this week and still a consistent winner in my books. Friendly staff, adorable and clean shop, great options and REALLY good bowls. Make sure you sign up for points. Not the cheapest place but the points truly helps. This time I tried the Avalanche coconut bowl and the banana olas bowl. Both were delicious but I think the avalanche coconut bowl is my favorite bowl I've tried so far. It's a winter special so get it before they remove it! read more

From bowls, juices and smoothies, everything tasted refreshing when I went for my first time just a few days ago. Had the coconut bowl w strawberry, blues and granola. And a pitaya/dragonfruit bowl w some other good stuff in there. Bought a premade juice they serve in an open cold fridge up front that was and a packaged low ingredient choco, peanut butter bar that hit the spot when I needed it. A terrific chain that's expanding rapidly and for good reason. Their bowls are packed with quality ingredients including fruit that's always pristine and fresh. The acai bowls are extremely sweet. This place was pretty good. Back home this is equivalent to a SoBol, but this place takes it to another level though. They have multiple different combinations that just makes sense. For example they had different banana bowls and they had chai pudding bowls each with different toppings and signature combinations. I wish I could of tried a bunch of different ones but I settled with the 'Pura Vida' which had açaí, blueberries, strawberries, granola and honey. This is definitely a place I could see myself frequently visiting if I lived closer to try the different combinations of bowls! read more

The Marlton Playa Bowls is the superb experience that all Playa Bowls share. If you haven't been to one yet, certainly give this one a try. The fruit bowls are the best for a mid-morning breakfast, lunch, or dinner dessert, especially in the summer. This Playa Bowls is located in a shopping complex that can be a little tricky to get into, but once you've been there, you'll learn your way around rather quickly. The parking lot can be cramped but look for Trader Joe's in the same complex. You'll find that Playa Bowls sits further back. From the main road you can't really see it, but I assure you it's there and it's worth the visit. Everytime I've came to this playa bowls they progressively add less Nutella for their Nutella bowls. But I've never had this happen. Usually there is a THIN layer of Nutella underneath the fruits when I ask for the Nutella bowls so I ask for extra Nutella (which they don't give extra Nutella) but this time I got NO Nutella underneath the fruits and instead got a drizzle of Nutella on top of the fruits, which is less then what I would get if I did not ask for extra Nutella. read more

Unlike other reviewers, we enjoyed the product the majority of the time. The staff is another topic altogether. They are rude, often gossiping about people while you're waiting, leave out ingredients from bowls on their own menu, and have snapped at customers more than once. We've continued to patronize this location since it was closer (one town over) but will now skip Playa altogether or drive further to be treated politely. None of the current staff seems interested in waiting on customers or actually working. read more

I'm a long-time Playa Bowls fan, and I've stopped in this location a few times while I've been in the area. While Playa is a chain, I do notice small differences in service, portion, sizes, and quality between locations. I've done both mobile ordering to this store as well as ordering inside. Service has been solid both times. When I ordered in, I waited about 15 minutes for my bowl to come out. This was understandable; I assumed they were getting through a mid-day rush. The quality this day was OK, the portions of toppings on my bowl could have been a bit better. During the time I mobile ordered, I was very impressed with my quality and service. I was in and out of the location in less than 3 minutes. I was greeted and had my name for my order taken as soon as I walked in. It was quickly retrieved from the freezer. More importantly, I was very impressed at the quality after bringing it home. Each portion of my toppings was generous, and my bowl was packed with flavor. The consistency was also perfect. Overall, I like this location a lot. I really haven't had anything extremely negative happen here. It may not be out of this world, but the employees are younger teenagers putting forth a lot of effort. I'm sure I'll be back at this location in a couple of weeks. read more

I was so excited when I heard this was opening as it's closer to home but disappointed. Definitely not like the one in Cherry Hill. The first time, I gave it a pass since it was very new. Went there again today and the bowls are just not the same as the Cherry Hill location. I got the Nutella açaí bowl.The bowl was not blended right or very well. The Nutella was hard as a rock and the peanut butter stuck on it. The granola was in the middle, so that got mushy, and there was not even enough of it and the açaí - i don't know ...today, it tasted spoiled?! Bowls just aren't as fresh here and the açaí tastes super different. Maybe I'll go back here in a year - hopefully it will have gotten better and tastier. read more

Absolutely terrible. I walk in to go to the bathroom and buy something. As I'm walking one of the employees stops me and rudely says, "are you going to buy anything... anything at all?" I couldn't believe how rude she was being. Not to mention every other employee was on their phone not paying attention, and extremely loud music was playing in the background. The food was extremely overpriced. I had to pay $12 for basically frozen yogurt and fruit and it was honestly not the best thing I've ever had either. Never coming back. read more

This was my first time here, was not impressed. There was hardly any açaí in the bowl- about 3/4 of the bowl was granola - fruit on top was good!! It was more like a bowl of granola with a trace amount of açaí on the bottom and some fruit- I asked for almond butter instead of honey- I think they forgot to add that! If I go back I'll be sure to check my order before I leave. read more
