I love playa bowls and I have had it many times, but this location is bad. First the workers were so rude and on their phones, I paid for extra Nutella and barely got the regular amount, and also they didn't even give us lids or bags.The worst part about it is that it was melted like soup when they gave it to us .Do better Playa Bowls, I'm very disappointed. read more

Got to town late and not much was open besides the Boardwalk grease, and then I happened upon Playa Mexa. Had a chicken quesadilla and it was great - fresh, loaded with chicken and cheese and cilantro. We were hanging out on the beach in Wildwood and decided to get this for lunch, along with some fries! After looking at the menu online and deciding what to get, I headed up to the boardwalk and ordered two gluten-free bowls. Next to the ordering area, there's an open area that may have used to be for seating, but is now a pretty nice waiting area where people could spread out a bit. Such a great addition to the boardwalk in North Wildwood!!! We went there on a Friday around noon and the wait time was less than 15. We ordered at the counter and our bowls were handed to us in a bag in the "wait area" which I'm sure will have tables when current regulations will be lifted. Even though there was a misunderstanding in our order, Emma who I believe is the manager took care of it in a timely and friendly manner. We ordered the Açaí Tropical, the Power and the Nutella bowl. Açaí is a  palm fruit that is pureed and served as a smoothie.or in this case a bowl, and topped with granola, banana, and different syrup and fruits depending on your selection. We have been to this place multiple times and have always had a great experience with the food and service. Though our last visit we ordered two smoothies and it took 30+ minutes to get them. After we finally got them one of the smoothies had three pieces of plastic in it. The second one was literally like water. The girls made a new one for us though it took another 15 min. It seems very unorganized this time with no adult supervision. A line was building up and there was a girl sitting around laughing behind the counter eating a burrito. The girl who took the plastic did not change your gloves when making new smoothies. I hope they can clean up their act for next time. read more

Not my favorite smoothie bowl, but it's the best you'll find in the area. They have multiple bases to choose from and you can even combined them. I really like the granola they use and the oatmeal is also really good. Playa bowls are always very consistent, you can't go wrong. read more

They are busy because they are so good at what they do. I had an açaí bowl one day and the next day I had their smoothie. Both were so good! I had an açaí bowl at another place on the boardwalk that mixes almond milk into their açaí and I will never again order a bowl made like that. The location is convenient, and the smoothie I got was pretty good. The menu is extensive and great; and the people prepping the food worked hard. The person taking orders though - wow. I don't need someone to be super friendly- but saying hello and thank you after an order is common decency in life, not just in food service. She also was openly badmouthing what sounded like other employees to the ones currently on shift. "This is an easy job - maybe if they don't like it they can continue living off mommy and daddy for the rest of their lives" she could be heard saying loudly enough for me and another customer to hear. She continued to badmouth them. Look, we all have coworkers we can't stand but to say it when customers are around is super unprofessional. Props to the staff who barely reacted to the bad behavior and worked hard to get drinks out.
