I like to add peanut butter for a peanut butter and jelly vibe! As someone that doesn't like bananas, I love that they have a few banana free options. I was happy to see a playa bowls within city limits. The store was bright, clean and cozy. I loved the music they were playing as well as it was upbeat and put me in a good mood. I ordered a bowl ($12) and it was made on the spot: took maybe 5 mins to assemble. It was fresh and they don't skimp on ingredients which I loved! It does get busy here just fyi and the place is small with only a few workers but they said hi to everyone and no one had to wait to be assisted for very long. We're really excited to have a Playa Bowls location so convenient to our house! It's become a new favorite weekend breakfast option and we can't wait to try all of the options. We've used their online ordering system and ordered in the actual shop, both of which were easy and efficient --- once we figured out what we wanted from their extensive menu of bowls and smoothies! So far, we've tried bowls with several different bases, with my favorite so far being their green base (kale, banana, pineapple, coconut milk). The banana base tastes just as billed, and the coconut base is (understandably) VERY coconut, so make sure you're a fan! I also liked the Pitaya base for a fruity option with a slightly more subtle flavor. From there, you can select from dozens of topping combinations or create your own bowl with plenty of fresh fruits, nuts, coconut flakes, nut butters, and/or Nutella. I particularly enjoyed the Electric Mermaid (pitaya base with kiwi, mango, and honey), and my fiance liked the Green Power (green base with banana, granola, and protein powder). Bowls tend to come in around $12 each, but we did get a 15% discount for joining their rewards program, which was a nice perk! We'll definitely be back! read more

Wow, I can't believe how good this was! I got an acai bowl with banana, mostly expecting that I would wind up not really liking it and giving it to my boyfriend. It was AMAZING and I could not stop eating it! If you had tried to take it from me, I would have slapped your hands away with anything close. The bowls are delicious but they are constantly getting your order wrong. Like 50% of the time something is wrong with the order. The receipts are correct, so not like they are keying it into the computer wrong they just make them wrong. If you customize the order in any way make sure to check carefully once you receive it, and make sure that it is even your order because they have given me the completely wrong persons order before. read more

So I typically go to West Chester playa however was in the area so I thought I'd give this location a try. I can tell you I will not be back. Wish I had seen the mice droppings all over the bathroom floor before I ordered. And I mean all over the floor. Nasty......not to mention their bowls are much more expensive here. $15/ bowl is ridiculous especially when they're not being filled like all other locations. The base filled maybe half the bowl if that, the rest was filler. WC & Villanova locations pack their bowls. This place in Wilmington was run by a crowd of young girls. One was sitting on the counter as I ordered. Inappropriate. I think the board of health needs to take a look at this place. read more
