Star tally for Player's: * Least shady bar in FoGro! * Easy access to Godfather's Pizza (plus chicken strips, breadsticks, burgers, etc) next door. * Random sports specials: got a pint of beer, a personal pizza, and I got to keep the glass for only 9 bucks! * Always a good time here -- never had a negative encounter with the bartenders or heard any complaints from friends. (*) Remember, back in the day, all the peanuts scattered around the bar? I miss that... minus a star :(

So, my friends and I have been here three days this week and the previous two days the service was incredible!! Tonight, though? It seriously sucked!!! When you have people come in and then leave because you aren't asked if you'd like a drink OR even acknowledged, service fucking sucks! This girl bartending tonight is beyond help!!! Oh, but she can curse up a storm without regard to other customers but just looking after her buddies! Management, you guys really dropped the ball here, it's hurting your business and you don't even know it! Or maybe you do!! Cheers and good luck!! read more

We are new to town and tried this place because of an ad I saw. The bartender G was great, she knows how to balance a cocktail. Not too strong but you get your money's worth. The food was excellent, we had the fresh potato chips, the pub burger and wings. Everything was fresh and very tasty. They have happy hour discounts. We will definitely be back. It's nice to find a place that's not a dive but just a good place to relax and eat some good food. The menu is limited to pub food, mostly fried, but I did see someone with a really good looking salad. They are a sports bar so expect to see a game on. See you there. Lol read more

Place has gone downhill lately. Last time I was there something behind the bar smelled really bad. Dunno why. Staff turnover there seems really high. New management next door at Godfather's sucks as well. Not going to be going there any more. read more

Sorry Player's Pub, I have to put you 1 star down. There was an elderly man in the back room where the slot machines are publicly getting himself off. I then quickly escorted myself out of the building. I really like this place, I do, but that was just uncalled for. It smelled really bad. I'm not sure how many people saw that, but I hope someone said something. read more

Found this little gem in Forest Grove. This is one of my favorite bars in town because it has good craft beer, really good pizza and chicken (seriously, the chicken is amazingly juicy), and an upscale atmosphere which is hard to find in Forest Grove. Definitely give it a try if you haven't already. read more

Worst service ever. Don't even deserve the one star. My group (of 8) sat down at 10:00. Waitress came over to take our initial drink order and then never came back to our table until last call (midnight). When asked about this her excuse was that it was really busy. But, she managed to see every other table at least once and to take quite a few smoke breaks. I will never be back. read more

I have been there many times but have stop going cause service as gone down hill several times I had gone in and sat while I watch many others get served and I didn't. One time the place was damn near empty and it still took 15 min for someone to come to my table then it took forever to get my meal and on top of it I got my Sandwich and then had to wait 10 more minutes to get my french fries. And now out front of the place it's so disgusting cigarette butts all over the sidewalk turns my stomach don't want to even go there. Used to be a great place to bad it's not anymore. read more

Otherwise, I think it is about $3. There are more tables in the theater than there were the last time making it a nice place to order snacks and drinks and take them in with you. I had a soft drink which they carbonated on the spot. I wouldn't recommend this as it was over $3 and still flat. The movies are typically first run towards the end of their shelf life at the regular theaters. Usually, one for the family plays at 3pm and again at 6pm and then a more adult type fair PG and R ratings at 9pm. The theater is open to the public as well as hotel guests. Check it out.

I recently went to Players Pub with my husband when we were in Forest Grove for our son's sporting events. We had an hour to kill so we each had a craft beer and shared some potato wedge steak fries - SO good! I'm a vegetarian but my husband said their new Broasted Chicken is unbelievable! I've been coming to this bar for a little over a year now and it's always been a fun atmosphere with great employees. The food is awesome and the drinks are drinks.
