we absolutely love this place for our second summer of summer camps. My kids went to slime camp science camp under the sea camp and we even got a scholarship for one of the camps this year. We love coming her to play and for the homeschool classes. Miss Abby is such an amazing teacher and all the staff really do show a lot of care. The toys and rooms are always changing themes which makes each visit fun and exciting for the kids. Tons of indoor and outdoor spaces to choose from. Messy play and art encouraged. Stay away. My wife and i signed my kid up for slime camp in july. We dropped him off on his birthday to go to slime camp instead they put him in pokemon camp. He is autistic he is 5 he doesn't know pokemon. When we picked him up he never talked about slime and he wasn't dirty. He kept talking about pokemon. We didn't think much of it. Till i dropped him off the next day. The lady gave me the pokemon clipboard i was like no he is in pokemon class. I said no we signed him up for slime camp not pokemon she said he spent all day in pokemon camp. At this point i was mad. I said he belongs in slime camp.i left about hour later they called me saying he is crying and upset i asked what camp is he in they said pokemon i was pissed.im like i will be there in 15 min to get him. I arrived they told me there side of what happen i think they lied. He was happy in a good mood never looked like he was crying. I think they just didn't want to deal with him.too much energy too hard to understand or talk too. I told them i want a full refund and they are going to hear from me.they gave me half a refund still waiting for the rest. Also my kid had ear protection on when i dropped him off loud noises bother him sensory tool. We get half way home i asked where your ear protection he said they told me to take them off. If he takes them off he put them next to his belongings. They still have them i do need to get them or get 40 bucks from them. Oh he came home with a bruise on his head. They said he bumped heads with another kid. It was a big bruiser. I think they hit him or pushed him. He spent 4 yrs at daycare never had a bruise or bumped heads with a kid. I think its a little suspicious but that just my feelings on the situation. Anyways i would never trust them with my kid again so beaware. read more

I took my 2 grandson's this morning and they absolutely loved it, ages 2&3. They were shy at first but after about 30 minutes they were running through every room super excited about all the things they got to see. The favorite room today was the blue soft block room! The staff was kind, and we even met new friends!! We will definitely be back. read more

Good place to take the kids. They have definitely improved over the years from being disorganized to neat and tidy. I would strongly suggest a placemat or basket for toys that have been mouthed on. I felt so guilty putting back toys that were mouthed on in their original storage. read more

Didn't know this place existed until my son turned one years old & now we love and appreciate Playzeum's amenities, classes & Miss Robin so much! The facilities and toys are clean, the schedule is structured and the updates are communicated efficiently. Bought an Elf kit from there last December and then went to their Winter party that they had for the kids, got to make cookies, have hot cocoa, stories from Mrs. Clause, Pictures with Santa, Mini tree decorating, bubble machine outside, And a carriage ride. Yuba City needed something like this! It's an interactive kids "museum", where the kiddos are allowed to touch everything, and play! It's a great place to let your kids learn by interacting with the exhibits. There are sensory bins with colored sand, rice and "moon sand", a fun wind tube to play with, a room for coloring and painting, a huge engineering block area, a mini market, complete with shopping baskets and play food- and much much more. I could bring my son here every day and he would never get bored. There are lots of rooms to explore. Super friendly staff too. It's only open on Saturdays for now, so get the word out to your friends and go check it out! read more

We took our kids (10, 7, and 4) there today and they were completely entertained and using their imaginations for well over an hour in the first room alone! The first room is a supermarket, complete with ATM and cash register, a veterinarian office, and a home with a kitchen and white picket fence. The other rooms have a stage and dress up, a life size DIY marble run, a science center with a climbing contraption, and a huge art room with everything you could think of to color, paint, and draw. There's even more to do outside. For $7 a child and $5 for adults the Playzeum is an outstanding value and a hidden gem in Yuba City. read more

I just got home from almost 3 hours of fun with my granddaughter and daughter. What a wonderful gem in our area with so many activities in one place. A very well planned and creative environment with so many rooms: trains, hospital/baby station, farmers market, stage with curtain, 0-3 yr room with wooden climbing toys, puppets and a whole outside area with so much I cannot list it all. Grant funded along with a small entrance fee or annual membership you must go and check it out today! Absolutely love this place!!! My children (ages 7-11) attended 4 of their summer camps and every one of them was wonderful: baking, art in nature, robotics and super hero camp. Such creative topics, adventures for them each day and activities that challenged their minds and worked their creative side--they came home with robots (they are themselves) that colored pictures, super hero costumes they fashioned, homemade cookies and cupcakes and so much more!! The facility is so cute with interesting objectives in every room to fit each personality, plus clean. The staff was super sweet, engaging people that truly care about the children and love what they do! I can't say enough about how impressed I was by these camps and the way my children spent their summer days. Thank you, Playzeum!!! read more

Very fun place to have a birthday party! My kids loved having the whole facility all to themselves!!

Can be expensive especially when you have 4 grandchildren.. But we have had lots of fun here.

Ok.. I REALLY wanted to like this place. It's such a great idea especially in this area where it's 100 degrees outside... but I was so disappointed. The place was a mess! There were dirty toys everywhere, there were dead flies in the bubbles, and it looked like they hadn't cleaned up in days. Outside wasn't bad but inside needs work. The big main room looked good but all the small ones were dirty and messy and there weren't any kids there to have made it that way. We were the only ones which should have been a clue. The staff needs to get up and pick up once in a while. Unless I hear of a major upgrade to toys, facility and staff... I won't be back! read more

My children really love the fun and imagination that is provided here. We can't come as often as I would like, it is just to pricey. Why are the parents charged $5.00 each? Being a one income home, the only options to come are open houses, free museum day and the last Monday of the month. It is a great idea and the types of play rooms are wonderful!! I love this idea. Our town needs a place like this. However, it is a little pricey. Also, I had a bad experience with the Director. My Mother and I took my Son and Nephew ($24.00 total). The Director was not at her desk when we signed in. Someone else took our money and helped us sign in. The Director came in and was visibly upset that we were there. We do not look like homeless people and we were one of 3 families using the space that day so you would think the Director would be happy to see us. She wasn't. She had a very bad attitude towards us because she was not at her desk when we checked in. Even after she was told that we were paying customers she was "huffy" toward us. I also noticed a volunteer tried to hang a poster and the Director got upset with the volunteer because she didn't know whether or not the volunteer could use push pins correctly. Maybe get a new Director? I don't want to see this place go away but I haven't been back because I don't want to deal with that lady again. read more
