Extremely Accommodating with Quality Work! We took our son, who is in a motorized wheelchair, to have his Senior Portraits done. The Studio is spacious and has plenty of room for the Wheelchair to Maneuver. Photo quality was decent and I was able to get my picture downloads the same day. Photos and poses are classic, don't expect anything innovative. Cons: Scheduling an appointment online was unnecessarily ridiculous (update the website). The studio is located in Roseville, which is a hike depending on where you live. The pictures are standard. Was there for the mandatory yearbook foto sesh. Crowded and busy but well run. Our photog was great. Smooth process

Our high school senior was required to have her senior photo for the yearbook taken here. When we called to schedule her session we were required to pay a $50 session fee over the phone in order to book the photo shoot. Upon arrival we were told to sit down and wait to be called. We were called about 20 minutes after our reservation time. The photographer and the photographer-in-training, Natalia and Tiffany, were the bright spot of the visit! They were fantastic! Great personalities, great photography skills, and wonderful people skills! The manager kept interrupting the session, telling the photographers to hurry up, but actually causing delays by interrupting the session. (What was she thinking? Rude!) The proofs looked great! The problem was the price! $100 for one digital proof. $600 if you want all 12 digital proofs. We spent about $200 on two poses; 24 wallets and one 8X10 are supposed to be delivered next week, with zero digital photos. I would only recommend the two photographers we worked with. I would not recommend the business itself. It's very overpriced and the management is rather unprofessional. read more

This photographer place is the most unorganized bunch. Nobody explains to you what to do and what's the plan. [[HIGHLIGHT]]They would take you to the room and say "have you done this or that?" I was like, what do you mean? Nobody said anything to me yet[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]]. Then, while you are in a session, the employees kept on coming to the room and used that computer inside the room where the session is taking place. While you are trying to smile, some employees opened that door to come in and use the computer. While you are posting for a photo, another employee barged in to use that computer. I was like, why can't you take that computer out of the room and use it in the common area instead. So frustrated with this bunch. Never will I go back there. read more

As a parent with two kids in the Sac City Unified Schools, the school picture process has become increasingly disappointing, year after year. It feels like we are held hostage multiple times a year. The shrinkflation of lower quality photos delivered slower and the gross inflation of what we are forced to pay these people is insane. How are they legally allowed to gouge us for a digital print shot by an inexperienced "photographer" like this?! It's INSANE. Twice in the past few years, we were sent photos of other kids and the process to finally receive the pictures of our own children was so ridiculous, it hurts to think about. But the latest example of how out of touch and how bad they are is related to the 8th grade class photo we finally received last week. A while ago, we were offered the opportunity to buy one of the large format class photos of our kid's outgoing class. They advertised it as being outside and offered both a formal photo and a separate silly face photo with the kids doing whatever. See..?! That right there. They are constantly trying to suck every last penny from parents who value these things. Can't buy just one $50 picture...so $100 and weeks later, the photos arrived. Um... The photo is so blurred out of focus that it's extremely difficult to identify the majority of the kids. Even looking at my kiddo's face, it could easily be someone else. And there is literally no difference in the two pics. Sure..ultimately the kids are the ones being informal and doing whatever they want in both photos but isn't that the photographer's job? To direct the shoot? Especially if you're offering these options like they're individually unique. Two, odd formatted, extremely blurry, extremely similar photos with no detail whatsoever...for $100. It just feels like being gouged and taken advantage of. I can only hope that the onslaught of pleas I'm making to these schools and the district overall land with someone who can reassess this company and the low quality, extremely high cost disservice they provide. read more

Honestly, for how these photos come out looking and what they're charging, they are taking advantage of people! $500 for pictures is absolutely insane in this economy with no specials that are significant enough to help offset the cost. It's just absolutely insane to me. They are literally no better than the school pictures we buy each year and yet the price is at least 3-4x as much. It's just quite disappointing that there are no better options. And you cannot buy a digital download without first spending $500 and then you can add that for an additional $250! My kid had pictures done at his school and when they sent you the preview they were the most ridiculous poses ever. Have you ever seen those "remake" of the 80's photos? The awkward pose and kids are doing them with siblings? The ones where they are so awkward that it makes you uncomfortable to even look at. Yeah that was my kids session for his yearbook photo. THEN to go check out and find out that a SINGLE digital download was $40. We initially struggled with weather and outdoor lighting issues. I was quite disappointed. I expected more for this price point. I would've rated this company much lower; however, on our third try, we hit gold with Mattie. She was an excellent photographer. She was so helpful with multiple poses and prompts for us non-photogenic people. I highly recommend asking for Mattie, as well as scheduling your outdoor shoot earlier in the day. read more

My daughter's school uses Bill Smith for their senior photos. She had her session today and everything went well. [[HIGHLIGHT]]We were greeted upon arrival, checked in and had a seat.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] My daughter's photographer was Cole. He was top notch! He paid very close attention to detail making sure that things were set up just right and that her grad tassel was in perfect alignment. He was also super patient while I helped her fix her hair a couple of times. [[HIGHLIGHT]]All in all, it was a great experience.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] I am taking away a star, and probably should take away 2, but I don't want this review and loss of stars to reflect poorly on the staff. The loss of stars is because the price of the photos is exorbitant. I know there is a cost to doing business, but $100 for 1 digital download is extortion - especially since we're stuck using the company the school contracts with. People will pay it because they have no other option (just like I did) but there should really be more reasonably priced options. I work at one of the high schools that contracts with Bill Smith and we are a Title 1 school which means many of the kids in our demographic come from lower income households. Our yearbook person just sent out messaging Friday that 89 of our seniors had yet to book their yearbook photo - likely because cost stands in the way. [[HIGHLIGHT]]And yes, I know a "yearbook only" option is available, but it certainly isnt easy for students and families to find and then they have to call the studio directly for that rather than allowing them to book online[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]]. I think the company as a whole could do better. Cole was fantastic, my daughters photos are beautiful, but the experience thinking about some of the families who attend my school left a little bit of a bitter taste. ​ read more
