While visiting Roanoke, I brought my daughter here to have her hair cut so that she could donate it to Wigs for Kids. Manu Bhallar, the owner, came in and cut her hair. She did a fantastic job on my daughter's extremely straight hair, and my daughter loved every minute of the visit. Clients should be aware that the outside of the building is very modest looking, and the site appears to be a bit out of the way, but inside is VERY nice. I highly recommend this place. read more

I saw a Groupon for this place and I have a graduation coming up so I decided to buy the deluxe Mani pedi. I think a lot people bought the deal b/c they were booked weeks out...good for me since I didn't need it until June. The lady was nice but it was so rushed. They must book in 30 min slots because I just felt like she was trying to get me out of the chair. No massage of feet or hands. Color is pretty but I can paint my own nails. I have polish on my skin and cuticles are rough. I will upload a pic, just had them done yesterday. Not even worth the groupon honestly. Only two stars because she was nice and the place was nice. read more

Lindsey Horgan. She is one of the best stylists I've ever known. She has styled my daughter from long and layered, to asymmetrical bob, to short pixy cuts and all were wonderful! She has styled me short and layered, and just finished "fixing" a bad uneven cut I got somewhere else and it's freaking adorable. Nothing she can't do, and also colors and highlights. read more

Gave this place another shot and so glad I did! I had a massage with Lana, who is amazing! Lana has magic hands and did such a nice job working out the extremely tight muscles in my back due to having a brand new baby. The space is really nice too, and the massage room was a soothing and warm environment. I'd like to check out their facials and mani-pedis next! read more

I agree with previous comment... i did a groupon for highlights... the stylist was triple booked, she wasn't even at the salon when i arrived, and she complained the whole time about how she didn't make any money off of groupon services. read more

Unfortunately I was never able to experience the service, as I attempted (unsuccessfully) to obtain an appointment for 3 months. I could not ever get a live person on the phone, and I only had 1 voice mail returned by the owner. When I called her "direct line" over and over, no success. No return call from my voice mail. I, too, had a Groupon. I mentioned that in each voice mail. Perhaps the trick is to spring that on them when you pay? Rather than to be upfront? Just a suggestion for anyone who hasn't had their Groupon refunded like my friend and I did. read more

Terrible! Don't be fooled & buy the groupon for this place!! They do not take care of you at all. They make you wait for months to get in with the special & when you do they are 35 minutes late getting you back to your appointment. They rushed through our nails & refused to give me a french manicure. I asked for things to get fixed & they didn't fix them! I had to fix my nails myself!!! My nails already look as if they are growing out & they just did them today. The place looks great & other services may be wonderful but not a good place for mani/pedis. I will never visit this salon again no matter the discount! I would rather pay double to get it done right the first time! read more

I wish I had never gone to this salon. I won a gift card at work. It more than a month for the stylist to call me back and schedule something. During my hair appt., she spilled dye on my new shirt and didn't say anything about it, constantly asked me about another hair salon in town, she kept disappearing, sprayed water all over my face during the rinse, her clothes smelled of cigarettes, and even though she said it would take 2 hours, it took 3.5 hours. I finally said I had to go - I had plans that afternoon which I told her about. I left there with wet hair in February. She also overcharged me claiming she used a lot of hair dye for the highlights - which I didn't ask for. When i got home and dried my hair, the highlights were way too blonde and looked like stripes in the front. Plus it was too short. I had coworkers tell me it didn't look good. I called the manager/ owner the next business day. She offered me a refund and said she would call later to get my address. I didn't hear from her so I called again later that week. Same thing - she couldn't write down my address. This went on for 2 weeks. Finally she took my address and said she'd mail me a refund. That was 3 weeks ago and guess what - nothing has arrived in the mail. Basically the stylists don't respect you or your time and neither does the owner. read more

I also bought the Groupon for a mani/pedi and, my goodness, it was awful. The pedicure basins are comically small with rocks in the bottom and they seat you in leather office chairs. I asked for a French for both my hands and my feet but switched to a very basic sheer gold on my fingers after seeing my "finished" toes. I've given myself a better French pedi. The lines are crooked and cover almost half of my toenails. Robin, the owner, did everything and she was nice, but she wouldn't stop talking to me. Maybe if she'd stopped trying to be my buddy -or gotten off of her phone for that matter- she wouldn't have trashed my cuticles the way she did. I now have hangnails on almost every finger. The kicker is that she finished off the whole thing by smearing gold glitter lotion all over my hands. I went to the bathroom of a nearby McDonald's to wash the glitter off my hands before I touched too many things. I wouldn't waste another $30 on this place. I ended up going to a little place in Valley View Mall to get my nails fixed. It wasn't awesome, but it was still better than Plaza 101. read more

This was a terrible experience for me. I agree with all the others and so wish I knew about these issues before buying my Groupons How horrible they let a bride down at such a special time in her life. Shows lack of caring an concern for customers which is exactly what I experienced. I called more than 2 weeks in advance , no one returned my call..2 weeks in advance i called and was told they would fit me in by rearranging other appts. I get my nails done only for special events....they repeatedly promised this but I had to be the one to call back every few days. Today, Robin the owner returned my call and did not even remember that I was the one who had been calling trying to get in before I leave the country this weekend. I am pretty upset as now I am not sure I can get in anywhere. She just said oh sorry, yeah no on would change but it seemed like she never tried since she did not even know name and i had talked to her 3 times and other employees twice. I am also not happy with Groupon for letting her advertise, PLAZA 101 has no business trying to get more customers when they can't take care of the ones they have and make false promises and expectations to them. Poor management and customer care. Do not go there. Clearly all resent reviews are very negative. read more

I purchased this through Groupon and was leaving to go out of the Country and thought wow this would be great to get a Deluxe Pedicure and Manicure. This was the worst experience ever. It took forever to finally get a call back to even book the appointment. Second when I get in, I get to sit my feet in a bowl with rocks in the bottom and the water was cold. I am sitting in a leather black chair that is not massaging. I am sitting next to a lady that she is going back and forth on us. Using the same tools. She clips my toe nails without even asking me if I wanted them clipped and I had to tell her I didn't want that done. She said I'm sorry everyone always wants them clipped. The toe nail polish came on next and she was rushing through that wihout even making sure it was dry and smudged and could not even paint my whole toe. I did not get a leg and foot massage. She put me in the manicure table and did a horrible job there too. Left my cuticles looking like trash, could not file properly. I asked for clear terrified what color would look like. My hands were not massaged. This place was absolutely ridiculous. I took pictures and I would put them on here if I could. This was also done by the owner Robin. Totally ridiculous. Please be careful. I called Groupon and they refunded me my price that I spent. read more
