It is hard to write this review because i'm not evaluating it for the criteria i usually would for a pedicure for myself (we only got pedi's). My husband and i took my mother-in-law and her sister for pedicures. They are elderly and have associated issues. Instead of engaging with the person doing my nails, i chatted with my aunt for the duration of the pedi. My mother-in-law is not always alert, so my husband tended her during her pedi. The young lady who did took care of my MIL's feet was very sensitive to the fact that her skin is bruised and delicate and that she is not always aware of what is going on. The people were very nice, the shop was clean and bright, and we were pleased with the results of our pedis. I will go again when i am in Roanoke. read more

Went there for a deluxe pedi and a design on my big toe. The older gentleman did everything and the design left a lot to be desired. Even one of the ladies working there and sitting beside him kept eyeballing the design as if she did NOT approve. And why didn't I complain? At that very moment and anymore, what good does it do? don't go here. got a pedicure and ended up with Paronychia on my toe. Had to go to urgent care and start antibiotics. They dig in your toe so much it hurts and the outcome is an infection. save yourself a trip to urgent care and go somewhere else for nails! read more

Four stars for a nice polish change, 0 stars for a bad attitude. I believe the owner is the one who has always done my nails there and been pleasant. Not today - I wondered if she acted so sullen because though I had been there a couple of times a few months ago, I had clearly not made it my go-to. She was a little rough a couple of times and kept telling me every time I put my nails in the dryer to "Be careful, Linda", as if I were 5 years old. To my knowledge I had been perfectly careful and found the constant reminders annoying and unprofessional. Believe it or not, I ended up overtipping her, which I think surprised her. Got a gel manicure & the next day the polish was coming off. I also had a picture of what I wanted (pink to blank ombre) & the lady was not able to do it after trying three different things. I came in on a Monday, got a full set of nails and was charged $135. By Friday every single one of my nails popped off. They did not break, they weren't damaged, they simply were not done properly and popped right off as if they were not prepped to stay. I came in and asked if I could receive a new set with no extra payment to offer a second chance, and I was told I would have to pay again. I obviously declined since I had already paid $135. I then proceeded to ask for a refund and was told "no" and that was it. As a person who regularly gets full sets, and never has had this problem I'm extremely upset. Love this place! They have a "walk-ins welcome" sign on the front, but I recommend calling ahead and making an appointment because they have turned me away when I walk in! However, if you call during the day, they always schedule me the same day I call! I love this place because I never have to wait, they always seat me right away, and they do a great job! read more

I will never go back to this place ever again between the service and how they told us one price versus at the end of our nails a second price the way that we were treated and my nails after a week have all broken. I was charged $10 more for normal size nails, but then told that it was an extra $10 because they were "medium long nails " the experience was absolutely horrible. The nails ended up looking good but between the fact that my nails broke after a week or two of going and then once my nails did break, my nails beds were split. My actual nail beds split in half and it was over $200 for my nails and my toes for dip and gel I'll never go there again read more

My first time at LA Nails in SW Roanoke as a walk in. Mimi did SNS one color, no cut down, no design. She did a good job on nails. I also got pedicure and she cut my foot while removing dead skin. She wasn't paying attention to what she was doing. The price for these 2 services were more than I normally pay. Quite a few salons are less. I usually pay $20 less. read more

Got my first full set here today and I will be coming back! While the smile line isn't perfect, the nail tech was patient and so very gentle on my thin and damaged nails. I am used to leaving the nail salon with either bleeding or with some pain, so this treatment is a welcome change. The price was very reasonable and while it is smaller than most salons, I was comfortable. Highly recommended. read more

Traveled to Va to visit a friend and wanted to have pedicures done while there. Her also being new there we just went with what was close. This was the worst pedicure I have ever had. The polish on hers looked terrible from the get go and mine was chipped by the end of the day. They sprayed bleach on the pumice stones after using them on our feet which tells me they use the same one for every customer. EW, that can't possibly be sanitary or safe. Then I realized they were using the same gloves they had just used to clean with to paint my toes... They also sprayed the bleach right under our legs to clean the tubs.. the odor was so strong we both instantly got headaches. They literally didn't speak a word to us the entire time we were. The whole experience was terrible. I absolutely do not recommend. read more

Long review: I will never be back! My nails honestly look horrible. I should've known to get up and leave when The person doing my nails used the same nail file on my hand as she did on hers without sanitizing it and then put it back and with all her other tools , very unsanitary. While my SNS was soaking off the person doing my nails thought that it was appropriatey to FaceTime a friend right in front of me while doing my nails very unprofessional. I asked for shorter nails with an almond shape to them and even shared a photo the person told me that longer nails with an almond shape look better, and then I replied no short please I have to be able to put in contacts. As the finished product of my nails they are lumpy, I can see brushstrokes and even discoloration in some, and the SNS is on my cuticle and my actual finger. I haven't been to LA Nails in years and I am so happy I went back. I needed a mani-pedi. It has been a stressful week and I come out a new person. If you love a great foot message with your pedicure. Then I suggest asking for Mya. I have never received that kind of treatment without having to pay extra for it. She did a fab job on my nails too, my french tip looks great. They must have redone the place it all looks new and VERY clean. I stopped going there years ago because it was dirty and unfriendly people. NOT the case now I believe its new owner and I'm happy they are there I will be going back again. I also like that spaces in the lot were reserved just for them. read more

NEVER AGAIN! What's normally an hour and 45 minutes took FOUR HOURS! The pedicure was good but my full set? TERRIBLE! To remove my gel manicure I asked them to use the drill because my nail had been ripped and there was a small cut, instead she used acetone. Burned the shit out of my finger. She could not do the set of nails I wanted (Medium, coffin). I tried to tell her that the acrylic was too thin and that would cause my nail to break. She asked me to go to another person. He finished my set and they charged me for them having to switch out and completing my set with a different person which is not MY fault but okay.. when I explained to him the set was too thin and would break he said "Just don't open any soda cans or do anything extra". I HAD TO WALK THEM THROUGH WHAT NEEDED TO BE DONE TO MY NAILS. SEVENTY DOLLARS for a simple set with NO DESIGN. FORTY DOLLARS for a pedicure and there's still dry skin on my feet. And as usual extra for the gel. All together they charged me 120 for a mediocre full set and pedicure. I wouldn't even recommend this place to my grandmother. Highly unsatisfied with the price.. the work they did was okay. read more
