Simply put, I have been in love with the concept of Plaza Las Americas ever since I first discovered it back in 2018 when they were just getting started. It was easy even then to see the potential. Their motto is: "Estamos construyendo el nuevo centro para la familia latina mas cerca de ti!" which means "We are building the new center for the Latin family closer to you!" While I am not of Latin blood, I love bringing my family here all the same... especially to the food court! Over the last few years several shops have come and gone, but the total number of vendors seems to be at an all-time high. You can find everything from insurance to Quensetta dresses as well as a dozen Latin restaurants ranging from Mexican & Venezuelan to Puerto Rican and Salvadoran. My current favorite items are the chicken tamales @ Star Bakery (Salvadoran) and the AH-MAZING grilled steak @ Villano's Tacos. *** There is a decent video game arcade and a play area for kids that reminds me of the indoor playland we actually PAY for our kids to play at near Mall of Georgia, but here it's FREE!!! SHOPS INCLUDE: Women, Men & Children's clothing, lingerie, REAL leather boots and Western Wear, shoes, accessories, hair, nail & eyebrow salons, esthetics, jewelry, and electronics. There are candy stores, fragrances, a soccer sports store, mobile phone providers, a truly unique candle store and more. But the best part for me was the food court. You'll also find services such as alterations, insurance, printers, real estate, import/export, taxi, consulting, prom/wedding attire, florists and party favors. THE FOOD COURT FEATURES: Tacos and burritos, pizza, arepas, paninis, shawarmas, baked goods, seafood, Mexican ice cream, fried corn, Venezuelan hamburgers, tortas, gorditas, tamales, empanadas, cubanos, enchiladas, sopes, grilled steak, soups & stews, chicharrón, baleadas, smoothies and so much more! There is even a Dominican place called Mamajuana (hahahaha), but I have yet to catch them open. Must be my scent! There are traditional restrooms as well as individual/family restrooms (complete with a lounge) and a giant water fountain. The floors are a nicely stained concrete with a glossy finish. There is an OUTDOOR gated turf soccer field with its own Agua Buena League where adults or kids can compete with other teams in a fun and safe way. There is also an event hall and Kids Club where "little ones can enjoy different activities, learning different crafts, music and even cooking recipes." SERIOUSLY, WHAT'S NOT TO LOVE about Plaza Las Americas. *** FINAL THOUGHTS My one complaint is nearly everything is written in Spanish and not English friendly. I get I'm probably not the target audience, but I want to be supportive all the same. Many of the vendors are also English challenged, which makes asking a question or making a purchase a tad difficult. But if you can persist, the mall is very clean, safe and most of the vendors are super friendly and eager to please. I absolutely adore what they are building here... a community! If you are looking for authentic Hispanic food definitely come to this plaza. They have a variety of restaurants as well as little stores. We tried tacos, Churros, and pupusa's from three different spots and they were all delicious. I ended up buying a beautiful handcrafted Hispanic dress to wear. I also got tiny little wooden keychains that were hand-painted and made. The prices are very reasonable. Plaza Las Americas is a sizable Latin American shopping mall located on the south side of Pleasant Hill Road in Gwinnett County (Lilburn). I wouldn't have known this place existed if it wasn't for Yelp. There was a terrific event here in November 2018 (Yelp's Fall Fiesta at Plaza Las Americas: https://www.yelp.com/biz/yelps-fall-fiesta-plaza-las-americas-lilburn). Also, one of the food court's vendors, La Sabrosita, handed out some of the most memorable food at Yelp's Aloha Summer Luau at The Hotel at Avalon in Alpharetta in August 2018 (https://www.yelp.com/biz/yelps-aloha-summer-luau-alpharetta). You have to give a lot of credit to La Sabrosita's owner, Jhonathan, for really putting Plaza Las Americas on the map, especially when it comes to Yelp. If you've ever been to Plaza Fiesta on Buford Highway (https://www.yelp.com/biz/plaza-fiesta-atlanta), Plaza Las Americas reminds me of a newer, cleaner, and relatively more modern version of Plaza Fiesta, just smaller, but still plenty big. This place is definitely geared towards the Hispanic community, so if you don't speak or read Spanish, things may be a bit more challenging here. Visiting this place is like visiting a mall in Latin America. It feels very authentic. The mall has all sorts of vendors, from apparel to electronics. You can sign up for insurance, a new wireless plan, or satellite TV package. You can also get home-buying consultations. There's an indoor playground for kids, arcade games, and various seating areas to hang out and relax. There's an especially big seating area with massage chairs and TVs located near the food court. As for the food court, it's the best thing about this place, in my opinion. At the time of writing this review, these are almost all of the restaurants in the food court and highlights of some of the items they serve: * Pal Loko Antojo - fruits, snacks, ice cream, chamoyadas, and mangonadas * Celida's Cafe - arepas, espresso * Antojitos Potosinos - Mexican street food, presumably from San Luis Potosi (city in Mexico) * Mariscos & Cocos Dona Reyna - seafood, fruit and coconut treats, agua frescas * El Taco Veloz - tacos, burritos, tortas, and breakfast plates * El Oriente y Mi Lindo Michoacan - Chinese-Mexican fusion * La Parrillada Mexican Grill * Empa Nice - 99-cent arepas, empanadas, and Colombian food * Star Bakery - pupusas, tamales, cakes, and pastries * La Sabrosita - Venezuelan street food including hot dogs and hamburgers In general, I think most of these restaurants serve good to great food. My favorites have been Celida's Cafe, Star Bakery, and La Sabrosita. Antojitos Potosinos, Mariscos & Cocos Dona Reyna, El Taco Veloz (a chain with numerous locations in metro Atlanta), and Empa Nice serve yummy stuff too. Plaza Las Americas in Lilburn is a Latin themed mall with stores of any kind. Although once you go in, it looks like the stores are stands, som of them are really big. It's very clean with huge bathrooms. And a ot of comfortable sofa chairs outside of them for that tired husband that got dragged along in a shopping day hahaha. There's really a good food court. I would try La Sabrocita and Celida's Cafe. Best of Venezuelan food. Also a lot of games for kids. A nice place to spend your afternoon with the family. read more

Plaza las Americas is a great place to visit, do some shopping and taste delicious food. I took my Spanish students to experience a bit of the hispanic culture and environment. Everybody there was so nice and professional. My students had a great time learning about other cultures AND using their Spanish; They were also amazed to see the soccer field they have at this mall! Plazas Las Americas in located in Lilburn off Plesasnt Hill Road close to Lawrencevile Highway. I was up for checking the food court out to eat and explore more Hispanic food options. Therefore, Plazas Las Americas it is. I haven't ventured out to many Hispanic food but always wanted to. Enough food choices in the food court. This mall is a mini flea market. It reminds me so much of the other Hidpanic malls in GA but smaller. I like the different country representations and street, snack foods available. Unfortunately, I did see two closed down vendors. Found this place and was extremely pleased! There are several small shops within the inside mall. There is something for everyone! The food court is a great selection of different eateries from various Central, South America. What a great idea! I had the chicken Cachapa (Venezuelan) and it was delicious! My friend had a Dominican dish she enjoyed very much. We then had some ice cream at the little ice cream shop that is located in the corner of the mall closest to the entrance... they are popsicles, but not your typical ones, you have to try them! I am over the moon with this place! What a hidden gem! After a Yelp event I had to bring my family back! Each restaurant has something to make your taste buds BURST! We choose La Saborista due to their amazing hotdog concoction! They really load it up! They describe it as legit street food. I want to LIVE on wherever street these are sold on! DO NOT GET YOUR EYEBROWS DONE HERE ! They are racist. I was in dire need to get my eyebrows done.I put my name on the list to get serviced and there was about a 30 minute wait. The lady told me to walk around and she would personally call me when it was my time. The mall isn't that big so after walking around I came back to sit and wait. I was next in line when the lady at the eyebrow beauty bar, called another lady that was the same culture as her, whose name was at the bottom of the list to come next. I asked her how was she next when my name was above her and she lied to my face saying the lady was next on the list. When I asked the lady for her name to verify before I left she told me her name and I was right she was at the bottom. I WILL NEVER GO BACK TO GET MY EYEBROWS DONE THERE AGAIN. Great location para Latinos and non-Latinos alike. There is shopping from artisan items to leather good and fotos. The food court had a good variety of mostly Mexican and Central American foods. There is a big kids arcade and indoor playground and a lounge with sofas to watch the soccer game. Am all around great place to spend time relax time with the family. This is essentially a mini mall. There are little shops crowded in a few circles and in the middle of it is just a place to sit and hang out around a water fountain. I would say the stores are just an addition to what the mall should be known for and that's the food court. There are about 11-12 restaurants in there and they are all unique from one another. Not one sells something the other one does. Definitely come here for the food. It's a shame this mall is so hidden! read more
