My boyfriend and I got followed around the store like we were trying to steal even though I was asking where to find things. The man and his children completed their purchase and left the store, I was up next. I was asked for my ID (for tomato juice and lemon). I told the older blonde woman working that I had lost my wallet previously and had no ID, but nothing I was buying was alcoholic. She refused my service. I handed the tomato juice and lemon to my boyfriend who was also trying to buy cigarettes and walked out. She refused him service because he was with a "minor". So much for the man with the 10 year old and the literal baby walking out with a bottle of vodka and some beer? Wtf? We are 29 & 37 years old. I 100% believe they profiled us as thieves and refused us service because we have tattoos and piercings. Absolutely will not be back. This meant we bought out daily small needs there as well. But next owners did not offer this service so we had to go to Post Office. Then the present owners took over and renamed it Sam's Market. For the longest time they had an OPEN sign on front---but the door was locked. After stopping multiple times to get last minute purchases, I just quit stopping and went to the next store down. For a while I was told, there were something like bodyguards checking people at the door at night. Seemed nefarious to me and I quit going altogether. I now rate it a 0. Too bad because this was the greatest little general store for years. Hope someone new takes over and brings it back to it's former local mkt glory.
