She sent me an invoice via email to pay $100 deposit. On day of cleaning, Dennis texted me that his team of brother of sister were here. Male employee who was originally from Panama did a good job of cleaning 1 bathroom, cleaning windows and vacuuming for bedroom and living room. He called Dennis to let him know that 2nd bathroom with walk in shower was super dirty. Dennis texted me that I will be charged a little more for deep cleaning. Female employee did a great job on cleaning walk in shower Both of employees went over 2 hours by 30 minutes to finish. My amended invoice was $340.41 with tax.

I was told it was because it was "a bad situation". Sure, I can understand that but if the work was going to be challenging, Kaui's Kleaners could have quoted me accordingly before accepting the project or just decline to do the work after evaluating what they saw on site better. What resulted was a frustrating waste of my time and an unprofessional job not worth the money I paid-- even with the "small" discount I received--no matter how they said they strove to do their best. It seems that the project had inadequate staffing (based on security camera footage of people coming and going to the house) and perhaps a lack of or distracted supervision based on what I came across when I inspected inside the house the next day. Why offer to return to "correct" the work after numerous discrepancies (basic, routine things that an experienced company should have spotted and taken care of) were brought to their attention after they said the job was completed and payment requested? Those should have been handled thoroughly the first time. For these reasons, I can't recommend this company. I already told Kaui that. This was the first time that the Yelp reviews failed me at a time when I really needed a job done well.

When I first called with concerns, I was gaslit about the clean. They did send me a list of what all they don't do (I had booked on the phone). I'm too exhausted to list what all wasn't addressed so I'm uploading some photos. I'll also share what I've had to do after 2 visits so you can make your own decisions. - Re-vacuum my main floor (after the second clean) - Wipe down my fridge and freezer drawers - Wipe down my kitchen counters - Scrub my kitchen sink (she said she didn't have the cleaning stuff to do so) - Address cobwebs from where furniture was - Address cobwebs from upper corners - Wipe down window ledges - Clean my own shower (after saying this wasn't originally addressed) - My kids shower floor was visibly untouched - Cleaned the inside of my microwave - Cleaned the grease filter above my stovetop - Magic erasered my walls where furniture and items were on shelves - Erasered my light switches and outlets - Scrubbed my own closet tracks (this is something I knew they wouldn't do) - Wiped down my blinds (we have two sets that are plastic - just two - untouched) Moving out with all your stuff is gone is already stressful. Cleaning up after a $600+ cleaner doesn't help. I had to borrow a vacuum cleaner, buy a hand broom and dust pan, buy extra swiffer dusters (she took the box she asked me to buy since she didn't bring any), buy a hand scrub for the showers. I don't have to heart or energy to call them again. I'm just exhausted and sad about the whole thing. It does align with why we're not mad to leave Hawaii. The work ethic here is different (coming from someone born and raised here).

We really liked Ingrid and Jesse the most from our in person interview, and hired them despite being close to double the price of the next lower bid because we had hoped to have them as our long term house cleaners. They came and cleaned the house doing a decent clean as if it were a general home clean but they did not do a thorough post-construction clean, which was clearly what they had estimated for. After the clean, there were tape residues left throughout the house on tile floors and counter tops (some shown below are more visible because of subsequent dirt accumulation). There were grout residues on most tile surfaces. And, several other small cleaning details were overlooked that shouldn't have been. As busy as we were during the move, I didn't address this until I received the invoice a month later. I sent an email to Ingrid over 3 weeks ago about our disappointment in their services and followed up with a text, and I still have not received follow-up. I can't recommend their services to anyone.

I needed her services because my Mom had recently passed and my condo needed some serious cleaning TLC! She sent a crew as proposed, however the scope of the cleaning project changed somewhat. Her site manager, Zenon, was wonderful at asking questions and being very thorough as we walked through my home. He offered additional suggestions where appropriate and listened to my needs. He was incredibly polite, kind, and attentive, showing incredible attention to detail with each new room we walked. Zenon reported back to Ingrid the small changes that he recommended based upon now being in the space, and Ingrid communicated back to me that everything was good to go. The team of three men worked hard the entire time. There was no down time - I could hear vacuuming and mopping and activity going on continuously. They were very careful with my personal belongings and respectful of my home at all times. I plan to use them for my regular cleaning needs monthly and for a future additional deep clean in about two or three months from now. Their customer service has earned my ultimate trust 100%. The total final cost came in at the lower end of Ingrid's estimated quote, and although I did not necessarily expect that, it was a pleasant surprise. Zenon also shared that they can move/haul away unwanted items. I know I will need their services in this area too at some point in the next year. One last thing: YOU GET WHAT YOU PAY FOR. Read that again. There is no discount when it comes to certain things, and I believe housekeeping is one of those things! If you are trusting professionals to do a good job, not break or damage your things, and wanting them to not use cheap chemicals on your personal belongings and in your home, you need to pay for it. The price I paid was the amount of my budget I had hoped to spend. Don't cut corners when it comes to this! I cannot stress this enough.

    I've used "The Maids" twice now to do a "spring cleaning" on my condo, and my experience between…read morethe first and second times, could not have been more different. I first contracted "The Maids" service in 2023. It was not my first time using a cleaning service, but I knew nothing about them. If I remember correctly, I'd seen a van with their logo, and thought that I'd one day give them a try. Well, that first time was absolutely spectacular. They arrived early, and literally cleaned my condo from top to bottom. I mean, the place was sparkling! I was so impressed with the job they'd done, I called them afterward to add a generous tip to the fee they'd charged. I was pleased, and recommended them to friends every chance I got. For the last two years, I'd used another service, simply because they were friends of one of my neighbors, and she'd asked me to support them. This year, they were booked solid for weeks, so I gladly called "The Maids" again. Well, in the two years since I'd first used them, their fee had gone up dramatically, but that wasn't an issue, as, given my previous experience, I believed it would be worth it. So. I made the appointment, and as promised they texted me the day before, to let me know the window of time in which they'd be arriving. However, on said day, I got a call from one of the cleaners telling me that they were running behind and would be a few minutes late. That actually turned out to be a half an hour later than the scheduled time, but, since I'd allotted several hours for them to complete their work, that was not an issue. When they arrived, they got to work immediately, and I got out of their way. I have a two bedroom, two bath unit, so I wrangled my two cats into the second bedroom, and told them to let me know when they were finished with the rest of the unit, and I'd move the cats to the other room. After about an hour and fifteen minutes or so, they knocked to let me know that they were ready to clean the second bedroom, so I moved the cats, and let them get to work. Strangely, only a few minutes passed before they informed me that they were done. I quickly did a superficial inspection (my mistake), since I thought I already knew what the quality of their cleaning would be. They let me know what the final charge would be, and they left. And then I started to really inspect the job they did. The place was mostly clean, but it was nowhere near the brilliant job the previous team who'd cleaned my unit two years prior. But that wasn't the real problem. I have glass shower doors on the bathtub in my second bathroom, and when I took a good look at them, there was soap and hard water residue all along the bottom of both doors. It was apparent that the young woman who cleaned those doors, couldn't be bothered to bend down to clean the bottom of the glass. The rest of the surfaces in the bathroom looked as if the bare minimum effort had been given to cleaning them. I took note of that, and went into the second bedroom. And it didn't look like they'd done much at all. They'd vacuumed. I know that because I heard it running. But there was dust everywhere. Clearly (in their haste to leave?), they'd simply quickly wiped off the most visible surfaces, and made no effort to clean any further. I have a desk with computer equipment on it and a bookshelf/ display case (among other things) in that room, and the previous crew, had cleaned everything. It was spotless. The results this time couldn't compare. You wouldn't have believed that the same company did this job. I'm not exaggerating when I say that, on my worst day, I would have done a more thorough job. And seeing the results I got, for the money I paid, I probably should have. The charitable interpretation is that they were already running behind in their schedule because of their earlier delay, so I got the short shrift. The other interpretation is that they either didn't care to make a good effort, or just aren't good at their jobs. Suffice it to say, I will not be using "The Maids" again.

    I received several quotes for this "re-clean" of a Move Out cleaning by cleaners that my tenants…read morehired. Its so difficult to find reliable and thorough cleaners- but the cleaners that the tenants hired (found on Yelp) left the unit as of they didnt clean at all- see "Before photos". I'm so glad to have found Dan and his crew. They were prompt, great communicators, and they got our apartment actually clean, and was mindful of the time they took to get everything cleaned and done right. I apppreciate them so much. They service properties from Alewa to Hawaii Kai only. Wish I could have Dan & his crew for my other properties, but since I can't- I'd rather not keep them a secret and share them with everyone looking for a good cleaner!
