Looks good but it was NOT GOOD at all.

I usually don't like posting negative reviews, however this pizza experience was just awful. I was excited to stop by and support the business, I figured they sell pizza by the slice so let's try it. The pizza itself has no flavor. It's the most bland, sauce less, dry pizza I've had. They put hardly any sauce and it's super dry on the pizza dough as if it had just been sitting there for the longest and kept getting reheated. The price was okay, one pepperoni and mushroom slice was about $6 but not worth it at all.

Does anyone remember that one episode of Mary-Kate And Ashley, the Olsen twins? they sang a song about pizza that went a little like, "I want Pizza!!! p-I-z-z-a". Now that song just so happened to be our anthem of the night which inspired us to order a pizza of our very own. I've never been to the physical location, but I did get a pizza delivered to my apartment. Us eating the pizza while watching the pizza episode of Mary-Kate and Ashley made me feel all that much closer to them. We went about our order the safe way and ordered just plain cheese. I enjoyed the sauce which had a deep fragrant robust flavor which was not too sweet, nor too salty. The cheese in itself was good and the pizza held it self together pretty well considering it was delivered and not eaten right away. The crust was okay, it was nice and thin, crunchy, but a little too chewy and dry. I wasn't able to eat all the crust and that says a lot because I'm a h*oe for some bread. Pizza might not have had us shakin a*s all night, but it was a good pizza for the price point.

Pretty decent slice. As slices are these days, a little pricey. I paid cash and my total was $6 and some change, gave the cashier a $10 and they gave me back $3 only :( that wasn't super cool.

I was in Santa Cruz for my daughter's 20th bday and we thought we'd have some friends join us for wings and Za. I was able to place our order before our friends showed which was perfect timing. The gentleman I ordered the pizza from delivered the wings, then one pizza, friends showed and got their drinks. The other pizza arrived and we had a pizza party that was 18+ It was very casual, festive and such a fun dinner.

It was busy around dinner time this past Saturday, and the line to order was slow, but there were plenty of slices available and it didn't take long to reheat the pizza. The pleasure combo was pretty good, flavorful toppings (I picked one of the fresher looking slices), and the crust was nice and crisp on the bottom. Affordable pizza with decent quality. Staff was helpful, doing his best to take care of customers, even if a bit on the slow side. They offer mainly indoor seating, but there were a couple tables outside too. A casual and carefree dine-in experience, worthy of 5 stars.

It's not the best. But Tuesdays they have a $2.50 cheese slice. There's literally no sauce though.

Why would you stack the slices? Slice two is a total mess!

The pizza is ok. I went there tonight because the line was way shorter than at PMH. As soon as I got home, I regretted the re-route and wish I'd just stayed in line at PMH. The worst part: look how they packaged my two slices. Instead of putting them in the box side-by-side, they stacked them, so the cheese, toppings, and sauce were stuck to the bottom of the paper plate. Ridiculous! Why would anyone think that was a good idea? And, after my five minute drive home, the slices were not even close to hot. Honestly, the stack method would have worked better if they were just left room temperature and heated them at home. I almost took it back to complain, but figured I would just post this and go to PMH next time.

Pizzas by the slice and beer on tap

Chill place to run in and grab a good slice of pizza. I'm not sure why it's rated so low. I LoVE the soft crust - no burnt bottoms or bubbles here! Flavors were on point and the soft crust means I will be coming back for pizza at this convenient downtown location. Plus you can grab a local brew on tap!!

    Cheesy Garlic Bread
    Andre M.

Pretty basic pizza and pricy for the taste of the pizza , very doughy and thick. I think they should spare me or something unique with the crust like garlic butter brushed... I also got the chicken tenders combo ,which was a great deal and portion size ,I recommend it. The garlic bread was sad and made me upset that I even ordered it. Wasn't good at all and didn't look like the picture.

How is the taste? I like simple flavors, grease of a pizza my heart pizza (plain cheese), thin crust, and Asiago type cheese flavor also veggies.

I have been going to Pleasure Pizza for 12 years, including under the prior ownership. It is the favorite of my family. Since Pizza my Heart has been franchising/expanding, their quality has eroded significantly as it seems like just another…

We added Jalapeno and Hot Honey to make it banging. For beers, lots of small pours. Final Thoughts: A Blend of Bourbon Barrel Aged Barleywines. Beauty Sleep: A Saison Oak Aged with Raspberries.
