I can't say I experienced Chester's physical therapy sessions, but I did attend his Tai Chi class. I have to say Chester is a very knowledgeable instructor, and very easy going to boot. I like the fact that despite his considerable knowledge about many aspects of the martial arts, he isn't one of those know it all kung fu guys who claims to know everything about the martial arts. I think his class is perfect for beginners like me and people who are looking to get some exercise with a Tai Chi class. May not be for you if your focus is on punching and kicking and getting ready for an Octagon style MMA fight, although I think you could definitely pick up some good fighting techniques from Chester's class. Lots of parking (it's in a shopping center), other class members are friendly, a very non-intimidating atmosphere. Like another reviewer said, Chester is very generous with his time, is willing to answer any questions you might have for him, and seems to really care about his students. A great place to go if you want to learn about Tai Chi and internal style kung fu. read more

I had been dealing with neck and nerve pain in my left arm for months, and was skeptical about how effective PT would be in providing relief. I've been to three different Physical Therapists thus far and can say that Plexus is the best. Chester is great in all the right ways. He is generous with his time he spends on you, flexible in the way of finding a right time that will work with your schedule, and always looking to help you in any way he can. He listens and works in various way of helping you find the right exercises and treatment for your issues. You feel you are truly with an expert and one who listens to what you are saying openly. This is a 1 on 1 setup in most cases so you don't feel like you are getting "passed down the line" with different helpers and waiting on a hot pad too long unattended. This is a custom experience. Chester teaches tai chi as well as sword fighting classes on the side in addition to PT that he offers. Best PT business around! Chester and Kat both have worked with my teenage competitive swimmer/son in the last 3 years. They have been instrumental with helping him heal and strengthen his shoulder, knee, and recently his Achilles Tendon. The Plexus staff is amazing. I've dealt with lower back herniated disk for about 16 years. I've had three minor back procedures, two in the last year and a couple months. Before having my third surgery was struggling with hopelessness that I'd have to live in pain and limited in my physical movement and function. Dr. Katrina Camus provides me with excellent professional expertise as a physical therapist and also provided me with caring hope. She identified areas of weakness and immobility in my hips that no other physical therapist in the past had and started me at an appropriate level of therapy when I began with her back in September 2019. Today, I'm doing great. I had my third surgery and my recovery was great. I attribute my recovery to all the tools and encouragement provided by Dr Kat and the staff at Plexus. This review is loooong overdue... I have been to many physical therapy offices and I always felt like cattle. You know those places-they just move large numbers of patients through, plop you on a machine and basically walk away or let an aide stare at you (usually the aide is too busy chatting with another aide to even notice if you are doing the exercises correctly). Enter Plexus.. Chester and Tran are super nice people who really care about helping you feel better. They have a small, intimate office and not only do they always have something sweet and some tea for you when you walk in- But they play awesome music! (Elvis Costello, anyone?) They do cupping if that is your thing and they get to the heart of the problem-This is not one size fits all PT. I had shoulder surgery 5 years ago and it acts up from time to time. I have been to other PT offices and they never helped me much. I can say I have been pain free for 6 months after my sessions with Tran. So what are you waiting for? Call them already! read more

I've been to Plexus two different times in the last two years for two different problems. I decided to try them because of their excellent Yelp reviews. They really know what they are doing. First time I went for the left knee, after three weeks knee was perfect! The doctor had wanted to do surgery on it, but never having done physical therapy wanted to try it. So glad I did. I wanted to update because I have since seen Tran for tmj issues. She is excellent, and has a strong amount of precision in releasing jaw/neck/head muscles. I've been to other places for this same issue, and she actually had me feeling a lot better in just one visit. That never happens. I went back once or twice and my jaw actually feels pretty good lately. I still see Chester for my spine issues, because that is one of his specialities. Chester is great. I called in to make sure they accepted my insurance and it turned out they did not. I spoke with Chester about it and he suggested I come in for a free 15 minute consultation. I went in and was pleasantly surprised by this small clinic. Chester was as nice as can be and I got in right at the scheduled time. He did an evaluation and gave me his thoughts along with some stretches to get me started in repairing my impingement. Both PTs, Chester and Tran, immediately made me feel comfortable with their excellent bedside manner and willingness to guide me through why each exercise would be helpful for my condition. I'm 15 years post stroke, and I was referred to Plexus by my massage therapist June 2016. Chester is amazing! I passed him on his way to the mailbox as I was headed to the clinic; he had me evaluated in that few minutes when we passed. Over the years I've tried many physical therapy clinics in Simi Valley and Moorpark. They are truly the only experts in neurological physical therapy in the area. Plexus is patient focused. They actually treat their patients' needs as a whole, not just the physical issues. They understand the importance of mental healing, and create an atmosphere to form friendships and families. They aren't just great therapists; they are exceptional teachers as well. I was going to another Physical Therapist for months, but was not improving. I switched over to Plexus Physical Therapy and received treatment from Tran Thai. Within two weeks I had more improvement than I had from the months I was getting treatment at the other Physical Therapy place. Tran Thai thoroughly evaluated my condition every time I came in, and would give me exercises accordingly. Chester is amazing. I've been to sooo many physical therapists. Many have been unable to identify the underlying cause behind my knee issues, but he was able to pinpoint it very quickly and show me. Unlike many other places, I love that he gives you one-on-one attention. He's very good at working out tense muscles. I'm also a martial artist with 20 years experience in fighting. My power and speed are already pretty good. But using frame-by-frame video analysis, he told me where my technique was lacking. He then helped me readjust my punching technique so that it was even faster and more powerful!!! We took videos before and after 2 sessions. The difference was unbelievable...I was floored by the improvement. He's got an eye for these things. I think his engineering background coupled with physical therapy gives him an upper edge on the other places I've visited. Highly, highly recommend. Especially if you're an athlete. read more

I've seen 3 different physical therapist in the last few years for my lower back. I wish I had known about Chester in the beginning. But I guess I wouldn't know how great he is if I couldn't compare him with others. What I really liked about him is his sincerity and true concerns for your pain. Like others who stated he focuses more on your treatment then the time clock, I 100% agree! Also he was the first one to work with me through the entire session rather than sending me off with an assistant. I Love Katrina Camus (Kat) and Plexus Physical Therapy. I can't begin to tell you how pleased I am with the staff,especially Kat, who is my Therapist. She is absolutely AMAZING. She continuously goes above and beyond in order to ensure that I completely recover. After having a knee replacement, I started Physical Therapy at a different location and I was not making the progress that I should have. I was even told by the therapist that I probably would not get any better. (How encouraging) I switched to Plexus Physical Therapy and was lucky enough to get Kat as my Therapist. I have been making steady progress and have gotten better faster than I ever did at the other PT Facility. At the present time I have completely recovered from my knee replacement surgery and I am back to a 99% level. Without having Kat as my therapist I do not believe this could have happened.
