We purchased a Tao Tao moped from this business in 2015. We have had nothing but trouble with this…read moremachine from day one. Jim, the owner tells us to bring it in to be fixed. I question if he has licensed mechanics as we will get the scooter back with more issues each time. We were able to ride it for 1 summer. It has been down for the count ever since. Jim has called this brand a lemon. He has stated himself that it is not good and then tried to get us to purchase an 'upgrade' to his Kimko brand. He is a smooth talker. He bills you for parts and does not give estimates for work. When trying to talk to him about the past bill, he laughed at me and hung up on me during phone conversations. We have contacted the BBB, Division of Consumer Protection and are now working on reporting him to the DOT and the Attorneys General Office.

Never a hint of what the negative guy says he was seeing. Sometimes you get what you give? I was on a long solo bike trip in 1988, and I pulled a rear spoke somewhere west of Rapids. I limped the bike into Campus Cycle and Karl was on it immediately and had me back on the road within a couple of hours. I still ride that bike, and it still has one black wheel and one silver. Whenever I do some maintenance, I am reminded of that day. Good to hear Karl is still in the mix.
