A few years back I got the pluckers rewards card on a Black Friday sale. A free app or dessert on on every visit and a free meal for you and one other person on their birthday month- it's fully paid for itself. Anyway, we don't come here super often but it's consistently tasty. They stay busy at this location but the servers are pretty attentive. Yesterday we dropped in for an early dinner. We sat outside on a sunny day but there were misting fans to keep us cool, and they didn't interfere with our dining experience at all. 3.5 My husband ordered us some food from Pluckers online. When we went to pick it up it wasn't ready so my husband came back out to the car for about 10 minutes. After getting our food we headed home. Our order was correct. Yay!! This time I ordered the Pluckers Nachos No Cilantro. They were tasty. The chips were crispier than in the past as there wasn't as much queso on the nachos to make them soggy which was an improvement. The chicken pieces were chunky and the sauce on the nachos added flavor. I also got the Chicken Bypass Sandwich with avacado, and bacon but no lettuce or jalapenos on a sweet bun. The bun was nice and warm. The chicken was a good size and very tender. There wasn't much avacado or onions but they were in the sandwich. The bacon was crispy. Went for lunch today and our food took 30 min after ordering before we decided to leave. We usually don't come to the south Lamar location but when I do, it's always a bad service. I genuinely believe that our server forgot to place our food in because 3 other tables had arrived after us and got their food before us. The service wasn't as good as it normally was. We had an amazing server, not sure of his name, red hair and glasses. Although he made our visit good there was two servers who we kept getting attitude from and everyone at our table noticed it. I get pluckers can get busy but this is their job and doesn't mean you have to give bad service and make customers feel less than because you're overwhelmed. A server with dyed red hair and another server with a ponytail into a braid kept on disregarding requests and when they finally brought things they got visibly irritated with teenagers, who weren't being disrespectful by any means, and didn't even wait for us to think when someone at our table stuttered when asked if she wanted a plate and the server proceeded to shake the plate and then roll her eyes afterwards. The one with dyed red hair was asked very politely by again, teens, if the channel could possibly be changed then she cut him off in the middle of his sentence and said no then never came back with a follow up, it wasn't what she said it was how she said it. They then asked another guy and he was super nice and said he can check then came back shortly after with the answer, the man with the red hair and clear glasses. Finally getting around to trying PLUCKERS in Austin. I went on a Saturday afternoon for lunch at around 2pm and was able to get in and get a table as soon as I walked in. The staff was welcoming. There is a parking lot but the spots are limited. I ordered the 6 piece spicy Lemmon pepper and after I ordered I remembered that I forgot to request them extra crispy but when they came out they were cooked perfectly! The spicy Lemmon pepper flavor was packed into each bite! I ordered the loaded cheese fries which come with Sour cream,bacon, Cheese, and Jalapeños they were also delicious. I love FRIED PICKLES so I couldn't pass them up! I got the half serving which included 3 pieces (I ate one before the pic haha). I would have liked a little less breading on the fried pickles but all in all they wer good! Pluckers has great ranch if you know you know that not all ranches are created the same and Pluckers ranch is high on my list!
