A great way to spend our Sunday morning! We were the only ones there for an 11 am tour, and Brian was a terrific tour guide for myself, wife, and two toddler-aged daughters. Our daughters had a blast feeding all of the alpacas. There were, I believe five (?) different stops along the tour. The alpacas were separated into pens by age and gender. Small gift shop stop along the way with some fun stuff. The entire visit lasted maybe an hour? This place is about 20 minutes out of downtown Prescott, and you'll travel down an unpaved dirt road on the last leg of the journey. read more

I visited with some friends from out of town. Brian and his wife were great hosts and tour guides. They were kind enough to let us use their restroom inside their house. We had a very informative and lengthy tour, allowing us to interact with the alpacas and ask lots of questions. We enjoyed learning about the various the practices of this farm and how they breed the various alpacas. They have done well in many shows and their fibers are top quality. It was also interesting to learn about the work of the guard dogs, why and how they protect the alpacas. We ended the tour at the gift shop and were delighted to support a local business. It was a fun experience and we hope to return again! read more

Found this on Groupon when we were planning our Arizona trip. This is an hour away from Sedona and I'm so glad we went here before heading to Scottsdale. The alpacas look very well taken care of. Inside the gift shop is where their awards are displayed. I bought a keychain with a super cute alpaca pouf and lavender bar soap. We had a blast petting and feeding the alpacas. So excited to follow their IG so we can see the babies of the pregnant alpacas we met in the "pregnant dorm". read more

Located off of Highway 89A, on the outskirts of Prescott Valley, with a view of Mingus Mountain, lies this 20 acre alpaca farm. As you drive-in, these adorable alpacas greet you with their stares! Are you coming to see us? Are you taking the tour? Yes, it was almost 1 o'clock and their tours start on the hour. With your $10 fee for the tour (I had a Groupon), you get a small bag of food, which is perfect for interaction but the result is not over feeding them. Each have their own unique features and personalities. The boys were definitely show off's and the girls so sweet! The tour is very informational and in-depth with someone who knows the answers to your questions. They have two little shops on site, one is The Alpaca Store, where I bought a few cool items but I can't wait to wear my "spit happens" mask! The other store is called Trinity Healing Connection, which has mainly healing crystals and products made with essential oils. I got a couple of items for our pets and a few for me. The only reason I am giving only four stars, is that masks were not worn by the people working on the premises. Not a big deal, as you can social distance, outside on the tour, but when you go into the two small shops, people affiliated with the alpaca farm were not wearing masks. I understand that Yavapai County does not have a mask mandate, but as business owners, they should take the responsibility to keep their guests safe. This place is the real deal. We had so much fun on this tour and it's very close to prescott town. From Phoenix and the drive is very worth it. The alpacas are so friendly and Brian was amazing and provided us with any answers to our alpaca questions. Will definitely be back! read more

Fantastic experience at the Plum Creek Alpaca Ranch with my two great granddaughters, 7 yrs and 4 yrs old. Brian, the co-owner is an excellent guide. Very educational and entertaining. Love this place! I initially had some skepticism because there were only two reviews and it was honestly kinda in the middle of nowhere. However, I had a great time! The host was really sweet and thorough, you could tell she was very loving towards her alpacas! Also the two Great Pyrenees on the premise were also very cute. For only $10, you get to feed alpacas and meet them and stay for as long as you want. Highly recommend! read more

What a wonderful way to spend an hour or so in Prescott. Brian is a wealth of information on his alpacas and the industry in general. There are 46 alpacas on this working farm and he knows them all by name as well as their history. Moreover, he has national champions in his farm. You'll not only get to meet and feed the alpacas; you'll get an education about the interesting world of a professional alpaca breeder. Highly recommend this excursion if your in the area. read more

Absolutely incredible time! We visited from Gilbert this weekend & decided to look into Groupons for ideas of activities. We found this & bought tickets to visit. When I called prior, the owner was very friendly, patient with my questions & kind. He was actually the one who led our tour. We were there 20 min early & were interested in seeing his daughter's bunnies (we considered buying one as we raise them) & she gave us a mini tour & had lots of information on the rabbits. The tour began and was 1.5 hours long. Man, the owner was SO informative! The group had a lot of questions and he was SUPER about answering all of them! He took his time, taught us things we would have never even thought to ask & shared all his alpacas with us. We got to feed them as part of the tour & spend time with the animals getting to know each and every one. I've done a lot of tours & this one is a FIVE STAR. We didn't bring kids on this trip & thought this might be geared more for children, but we were wrong. It was a lot of fun for adults, but would be perfect for kiddos too! He customized it to be sure we all had a great time. Excellent family, business and all around wholesome people. Would definitely come back with my kids. Terrific afternoon spent on their farm & thankful they've opened it up to give people like us the opportunity to be with Animals and learn so much! read more
