After several calls all around Studio City / SFV area to plumbers either "Not working weekends" or "too busy for the next few days" - LEV the owner came out and quickly got to work. Within a few minutes he figured out where the leak and problems were originating - and carefully brought me in to show and demonstrate how he could repair the problem. He offered a few solutions, and then graciously offered a new customer discount so then I would feel comfortable moving forward. (I'd already gotten a similar quote over the phone from a plumber who was not available, but hypothesized what the issue might be.) He came with his van already loaded with all the necessary replacement parts, so he didn't need to leave for 45 minutes-an hour to the local hardware store - as several repairmen have done in the past. Lev also took the time to show me exactly what he was installing into my system - showing me that it was quality professional parts, and not cheap knockoff's from overseas - a nice touch. He swiftly got to work, was clean and courteous, and the work came with a contract warranty guarantee on both workmanship, and parts. I cannot recommend this gentleman highly enough... What a find! A+ Customer Service, Honest, Speedy, Highly Recommended. No upfront charge to visit. Lev came over on short notice to fix my toilet (which abruptly decided to stop filling itself up with water) about an hour from the time of my call, and did not have a charge to come out. I phoned another place previously and they wanted $125 just to visit! As it turned out, the problem was not a result of my toilet, but was something outside my walls and in my condo's pipes. Despite the fact that it took a visit and some inspecting my toilet to determine this, Lev did not ask for any charge or fee. Clearly, Lev is an honest man, and this type of customer service - putting the customer front and center and not asking for money if no services are performed - does not exist anymore and is refreshing to see in 2015! Lev is the best. He just replaced he faucet on my jacuzzi tub. The part was hard to get, however Lev made many calls and found a faucet that would work. It looks beautiful and is high quality and makes the tub look beautiful. It was not an easy installation as the lines had to be adjusted. Lev did not charge more for the additional time and was a pleasure to work with. We have used Lev many times and always feel like we got 5 star treatment. Lev Moskovich is Plumbing 65. This guy is a real tradesman; he literally studied plumbing. The '65' is because he started in '65! He's not some guy who just picked it up to get jobs. He also happens to have an excellent work ethic. He's prompt, responsive, and responsible. He tries to save you money where he can not by cutting corners but with well thought out alternatives. Lev is a craftsman, plain and simple. He is a real plumber that knows his trade forward and backwards, a true expert. I had a bad leaky valve under my sink that decided to start dripping water in the late afternoon when I had a flight at 5:00am the next morning. Lev answered my call directly and said he was currently on a job but could be at my place in a few hours, between 7:00pm and 8:00pm. How many plumbers out there would show up at that hour? I was worried about what would happen if a part was needed at this hour but Lev had everything needed for the job within his own van. Since I seem to be on a roll with reviews today, here's one more. Plumbing 65 and Lev (the owner) are fantastic. We had a gas line rupture in our house last year during what happened to be the coldest week in the winter. We had no heat. I left work early to try to get a plumber out. I called Mike Diamond first and they wanted ... wait for it ... $10,000 to fix the pipe. They wanted to replace our entire gas line to fix one above-ground pipe, as did the other plumbers I called, although they only wanted $2,400. We finally called Lev after a friend recommended him. He was honest with us, and told us that our entire gas line did not need to be replaced, and fixed our one leaky pipe for us, and for a small fraction of what the others wanted. When the inspector from the City of Santa Monica came to inspect the work, he told my husband that the work was "top quality and done perfectly." Since then, we've had Lev do all of our plumbing work. We don't even bother with estimates anymore. He's trustworthy and the job is done right the first time. read more
