Are you a fish tank enthusiast? Is your hobby keeping a fish tank? Let me share a cautionary tale…read more Petco offers a 30-day warranty on their fish: If you buy one and it dies within a month, they'll replace it. But they don't mention upfront that you need to bring back the body of the fish to claim it. In my case, I couldn't find the dead fish in my tank, so I explained that to the staff. They said, "No problem--just bring in a water sample so we can test it and ensure it wasn't due to bad water quality on your end." Believing in their warranty, I went home, collected some tank water, and returned to the Petco in Wadsworth, Ohio. They tested it, and the water was perfectly fine--fish-worthy, as they say. So, it wasn't my fault the fish died. Yet, despite the warranty, the salesperson argued with me, insisting I couldn't get a replacement. I pushed back: "I provided the water sample as requested. I don't want my money back; I just want a replacement for the fish that died within the 30 days." Suddenly, she said, "Oh! I thought you wanted a refund. No problem--let's get you that replacement fish." We went to the register, but she didn't ring it up. She just handed it over, said goodbye, and I left, assuming it was handled under the warranty. Fast forward to today: That replacement fish died too, so I went back to buy another one outright. The same rude salesperson from before stopped me and said I couldn't buy any more fish from them. When I asked why, she accused me of walking out without paying for the previous fish--the warranty replacement! I reminded her it was under warranty, and she'd told me to bring the water sample instead of the body. But no, she doubled down: Without the body, no replacement, and now I was being labeled a shoplifter. The moral of the story? Do not purchase fish--or anything else--from the Petco in Wadsworth, Ohio. They don't honor their warranties and will accuse you of theft over their own mishandling. Answer to your Petco in Wadsworth Ohio post Sept 8, 2025 Petco, your suggestion to simply call after I spent considerable time trying to resolve this issue in your store is unacceptable. This is your own warranty policy that you refuse to honor, and then you go so far as to accuse me of theft when I was only following your instructions. There's no excuse for such treatment. I urge others not to shop at Petco--reviews show this isn't an isolated incident, and many have reported the same refusal to honor the warranty

Well... that was a first. I stopped at Pet Supplies Plus in…read moreNorton Sat. 4/18 for a simple nail trim for my dog, Sissy. Somehow, that turned into being accused of forging my vet's vaccination records because--according to the groomer--my vet "should have been closed" at 12:30 PM. I wish I were making this up. Instead of a quick 5-minute service, I got questioned, talked down to, and then told I was basically not welcome to spend money there anymore. Over a nail trim. For the record, my vet is The Pet Vet. Very real. Very open. Very easy to verify. I've never had a business jump straight to accusations like that instead of, you know... just checking. If you're local, just be aware--this was one of the most bizarre and unprofessional customer service experiences I've had in a long time. Rude employees come and go, but word of mouth (and posts like this) tends to stick around. Hasta la vista.

Very impressed with the staff members who were walking around the store interacting with customers. Wide and well lit aisles so it was easy to navigate through the store and see all the merchandise. While I didn't utilize these areas today, there is a wash area for dogs and a grooming area. Both areas looked very clean and well maintained. The check out process was easy. Both the cashier and person bagging my items were helpful and friendly. I was thanked for shopping at Pets Supplies Plus

We took our long haired shihtzu here for about a year before calling it quits. Maybelle is nice,…read moreuntil you put stipulations on her and ask to do something different. My main issue is she acts like you are bothering her when all you're doing is communicating your needs. I am sensitive to fragrances and for that, very seldom can I use products with smells. I kept getting my dog back smelling like different things, and even if I try to remind her of it, brought my own shampoo in even (which she refused, citing her shampoo is fragrance free) well something isn't fragrance free, it's in her down to the skin to where I have to wash her out to get the smells out. Her nails weren't ever really done well too....they would snag clothes for a few days until she's walked on concrete enough to have filed down the roughness or I take a drummel to them if I'm impatient. Anytime I have mentioned this, Maybelle was not very keen on improving for next time or taking special care of our requests. The haircut I don't take much issue with, I think she cut too much off but it does grow back but again, just another thing to bother her about accommodating and it seems she would just use our requests as guidelines. I would say, poodle paws but leave the rest of her long, just wash and brush....but I think she would take scissors to her body anyway because the sides would be shorter than before, by like an inch which on a 9 lb shihtzu is noticeable. But then if I say something she acts like I'm imagining it. I just want someone I can work with who will take my requests as the law, not a mere suggestion. I was trying to grow her hair out so after realizing my requests weren't being taken seriously, I started paying more attention. Also worth noting, and what made me finally break up with Maybelle, was my dog would be shaking like a leaf worse coming out than going in and she was not like that with her other groomer, so it makes me think there is chaos or shouting or just overall bad vibes. She doesnt like any of that and is sensitive, being a true fufu dog. She hates yelling, and loud noises which yes other groomer used a blow drier and ither loud machines on her and it was not making her come back to me shaking all crazy. At first I thought, it's a new person, new environment, and I leave so maybe she will get used to it. No - it got WORSE with time. She does not get very much separation anxiety, so it isn't that. She can be with a sitter for days without shaking like a leaf when I pick her up. I think its the vibes. What made me write a review was when I called to cancel the appointments we had booked, she asked why and I said it's because she hasn't been able to accommodate the no fragrance request and she got huffy and said "FINE. TAKE YOUR DOG ELSEWHERE THEN." I really was expecting something like, 'oh I didnt notice smells....my nose must be not that sensitive hahah, can we try something else and make it work?' Not trying to work with me on this - No, she just got instantly nasty. That was disappointing BUT it was the closure I needed to know I did the right thing.

Ii was very impressed by the compassion she has this was my first time there and I will…read morecontinue
