I wasn't sure if they would be able to do the design I wanted so I showed them a picture and they were confident that they could. Waited about 5 minutes while looking for the colors I wanted before Holly sat down and started working on my nails. Holly did such a great job! Understood exactly what I wanted and made sure to show me before putting it under the light to cure. I was in and out of there in 40 minutes! Before she started the services she explained to me the pricing to make sure I was comfortable and I appreciated her transparency and honesty. During and after she checked in and asked me how I liked the mani and pedi. Lastly, I had some work done on my two big toes and she didn't try to upsell me on things that were not healthy for my feet (e.g., acrylic overlay). She truly cares about her customers and what's best for them and their overall health and the kind of look they desire.

But after my last visit, i am beyond disappointed. i usually just get fills on my real nails, but when two broke, they put acrylic nails on until they grew back. Well, the acrylics didn't seem sealed right, and when i took one off, my nail was green and infected. i went to another salon, and when they removed the other acrylic, that one was infected too. the tech told me to leave them dry and exposed to heal. I told them no multiple times. Pushed so much i ended up okaying gel on her nails. For my pedicure i got gel. Picked the same green color as my daughters. My toenails were all different shapes and sizes. While i was looking at them the lady rushed me to put the paraffin wax on my feet. Once they were done the color was very splotchy, nails were slanted not straight, and gel paint was all over my skin. I asked nicely to make them straight but the lady was not understanding me and saying they were straight. They offered to fix but at that point it was too late and i had to get going. I called to get them fixed the next day because the gel polish was literally getting stuck on my socks. I came back to get them redone i asked to not cut at all because i like my toenails with a bit length. He ended up filing them down very short and the nails were still not straight. I had to file one myself because he couldn't get it straight. Color did look better but my toes literally hurt from being filed so much. One big toe is longer than the other and they're still not straight. Will not be coming back.

I asked for their base (basic) pedicure with regular polish. The tech wasn't happy with the request. She did try to sell the gel polish but I have my reasons for not wanting gel. Nail trim - okay Cuticle care (push back)- barely did it Cuticle care (trim) - rough, clipped my right toe but no blood Rinse off of scrub- missed the back of my calves and I rinsed my calves off myself. Massage - didn't care for it.. similar to rubbing in your own lotion... less than 2 minutes total..wiped off the lotion and oil that didn't absorb with hot towel.

She she's excellent with and both she and her husband are very professional. I highly recommend Julia at Fashion Nails. I will be driving the hour plus to see Julia when I am on my way to Tahoe and can't get on to see my regular manicurist.
