Busy... must mean that they are good My cousin called ahead and asked if they had room for two pedicures and her manicure. They said to "come now." All the chairs were full when we arrived. I asked for their base (basic) pedicure with regular polish. The tech wasn't happy with the request. She did try to sell the gel polish but I have my reasons for not wanting gel. Nail trim - okay Cuticle care (push back)- barely did it Cuticle care (trim) - rough, clipped my right toe but no blood Rinse off of scrub- missed the back of my calves and I rinsed my calves off myself. Massage - didn't care for it.. similar to rubbing in your own lotion... less than 2 minutes total..wiped off the lotion and oil that didn't absorb with hot towel. read more

This place was my favorite spot! I have been coming here for years and always called ahead for my regular appointments. Recently, there have been about 4 different times where I called ahead for a pedi & arrived at the shop to be told I'd have to wait or to " come back later". The first few times I understood and politely waited but now I just feel like they don't care. I also was told they don't accept cards anymore, just cash or Venmo. Again, the people there are usually very kind but they have no issue giving away your appointment. Even if you call ahead, they may not honor your spot read more

I have never had such an unforgettably unpleasant experience. I went to angel nails to get a manicure and pedicure for my birthday, what I instead received was completely unacceptable services met with even worse customer service. I sat in the pedicure chair and asked for a deluxe pedicure and a manicure with a full set. To my disappointment I received a half assed massage they scrubbed one foot, used some kind of gel product that made my toe nail completely fall off while walking. I didn't bump it. I didn't hit it on anything it just popped off. I also received the worst and painful full set, being chunky uneven and not what I asked for, at one point I ripped my hand away because she proceeded to turn the drill all the way up and hold it to my nail continuously, after not providing any sort of manicure care like cleaning under my nails. They left glue all over my palms and fingers and after I spoke up saying I was unsatisfied they berated me with "well I thought they looked fine" a rushed full set no prep, no top coat, no actual shaping? I don't normally go to such lengths if I'm unhappy but these were my birthday gift I wanted something I'd appreciate especially with how expensive it is. I paid for my friend and i's pedicure and we left. After my toenail came off I called back for a refund to which they hung up on me. So I showed back up to the nail salon and they proceeded to argue with me and grasp said toe that's nail just fell off denying my refund. They belittled and bullied my friend and I. DONT go here UNLESS you don't mind being rushed or passed up for their established clients. I walked in , saw they're busy, asked if I can get a GEL MANICURE, she said YES. SO the first tech didn't know how to take off my ombré full set, so I had to wait for another girl to come take them off. She was so rushed, I was surprised she was working as fast as she did! She then takes them off, files them up a little, and starts painting. I asked "if are you not doing a manicure?" She looks up at me n says "I don't have time for that" Not even a sorry. They are SO MONEY HUNGRY! She answered every single call telling each person yes please come in, knowing they're super busy, and only have like 5 people working. Why r u telling people come in if you're not even going to do a job someone is requesting? Or do they only accommodate people that are doing CRAZY WILD NAILS (I can't because of school). so many regrets. i came here after a hair appointment nearby for a much needed self care day. i wish i just stuck to my usual place in Davis (s/o to fan nails and spa!). i spent MONTHS growing out my nails and ive never had anybody remove an old manicure by RIPPING them off. by the time i realized what exactly she was doing, i lost all my length and wanted to cry lmfao. as a previous nail biter, i was super proud of myself for growing out of my nails. time to grow them out again. (': what bothered me the most is the fact i am more than okay with a nail tech admitting they can't do a certain design, but they still proceeded on and complained in Vietnamese about how short my nails are. like, yeah your nail tech just ripped them off? and i responded back just that because they didn't think i understood Vietnamese. and i had to ask for my nails to be the same length and my nail tech was so bothered LOL. like I've never had such a bad experience. there was no apology and she was so rude during and after. it's super frustrating spending my money on shit jobs from people with shitty attitudes. i still tipped bc of the time spent but honestly, im so tired of people doing subpar jobs and expecting good tips and unbothered clients. $53 (inc tip) for this?! i kind of want to remove them at this point. i have worked in the service industry so there's no excuse for this type of bad service and quality. save your money and time! don't go here. read more

I don't understand why they schedule appointments and don't follow through with them. I scheduled an appointment this morning and still had me waiting after my appointment time. Their problem is that they take in more than they can handle, so when they actually have appointments, those people have to wait. Nothing about my nails look right They were formed so funky, the glitter transferred to another nail that didn't have glitter , they are bumpy , I get nails can't always be shaped the same that's okay, but mine all have some weird shape flaw .They also push upwards away from my nail.... she also tore up the skin around my nails and I get sometime that happens but 6 out of 10 nails ? The youngest girl at this salon gave me the ABSOLUTE WORST gel manicure 4 days ago. I've had probably over a hundred gel manis so that's saying something. 1) I had gel on already. To remove it, she used the drill bit. I prefer getting foil wraps with acetone because it doesn't hurt, damages the nail less and there's no chance they will drill into your cuticle. My nails are noticeably much thinner from her doing this. 2) While buffing my nail she scraped off a ton of my skin on my pinky with friction. She put on some antiseptic that makes a film over the cut. IT BURNED SO BADLY. Not to mention, she touched my open wound with the dropper which is f***ing disgusting and she didn't even ask/warn me first if I wanted the drops. 3) She has no idea what she was doing and wasn't allowing the gel to be under the lamp long enough between coats which i'm guessing is why my nails are all peeling on day 4. It also wasn't thick enough to reinforce the nail like gel regularly does. They were easily bendable. 4) My nails are all different shapes and lengths. 5) She applied cuticle oil before doing a top coat. My nails are not even shiny like gel should be. I wish I could get my $ back from this place!!!!! read more

Love this shop. Clean and friendly. Cost is about average to all salons. I am very picky about my pedicures and they seemed to get it right. First off if I could give this place a negative STAR, I would it wouldn't let me post without putting 1 star. Today I had an appointment for 2 pedicures, 1 gel manicure, and 1 dip SNS. I called this morning my calls kept going straight to voicemail, I asked my mom if she could call to see if the calls were going through, she ended up calling and got through so she schedules us...Our appointments we're at 12 and the dip appointment was at 1. they took us back late for our appointment. we finish our pedicure, and 1 gel manicure was done. I waited around 20+ minutes for my dip powder. I was suppose to get my nails done by the owner "Annie" she knew I had an appointment with her specifically, when I was getting my pedicure she could have done my dip powder at the same time, but she chose to take another client. I waited after my pedicure about 20+ minutes around for Annie all for her husband to tell me she can't take me its too late. While Annie was sitting right there she had her husband speak for her. She stated she couldn't take me that she put our information in the wrong book. Yet she knew about the 2 pedicures and gel manicure I think she just didn't want to take me. As I was making the payments I had 2 gift cards one with $40 and the other with $30 she told me she couldn't take the gift cards and combine them. She told me that I needed to use the $40 gift card and pay $10 cash for the rest of the total. I have been there may times and "Annie" the owner has had no problem combining the gift cards any other times for the total but today she was giving me a hard time this time to take the total from both the total for the gel manicure and 1 pedicure, She eventually did it take it. After making my payments I asked to speak with her she still didn't speak to me continued to help another customer for another 20+ mins. She told me she had spoke to my mom and text my mom she couldn't take me. She showed me the number it was in fact NOT my mom phone number I tried telling her that was NOT the number she sat there and argued with me about my moms number. (Real professional) she tells me to call my mom so she can speak with her, once I call my mom and hand her the phone she says "why did you call her" mind you she just asked to speak with her. She continues to be rude to me as a customer then tells me "if I don't want to take you I don't have to I can choose who I want to take or not". She rude and unprofessional the whole time especially considering she the owner of the shop. As that was happening a customer came up to me and she said this has happen to her too while coming here... this is not the first time she has been rude and disrespectful to me. read more
