I was so worried trying this place out due to the reviews on Yelp. I've recently just moved to Mesa from Las Vegas. I've had my regular nail techs for years, so I am a bit picky. So, I was quite worried coming in. I called in to see if they are able to squeeze me in, and they were able to. I was assigned to Vee as my nail tech and I am glad I was assigned to her! She is amazing. She made sure I liked the color and the nail shaped, made modifications as needed. She also did my eyebrows and she did a fabulous job. Definitely coming back here! read more

I don't know what it is about this place but they are all so unfriendly. I tried it out when I first moved to Eastmark a year ago. Had a terrible experience. Not good and just honestly kind of rude. The front desk girl is incredibly unfriendly. Like makes you feel like the biggest inconvenience. I tried it again almost a year later bc my neighbor said she found a great nail girl. So I decided to give it another chance. I did give an extra star bc the girl who did my nails did do a good job but she honestly she was not nice. Every question I had to understand it or explain what I liked or what I was used to was an issue for her. Ultimately she just had an attitude with me which has literally NEVER happened to me with any nail tech. Maybe some don't talk much (which is totally okay with me) but most of them want your business and if you have questions or concerns they try to answer them. And don't have attitudes! Also I chose a color for my nails and the wrong color was put on. I already felt so awkward at that point I didn't say anything and just decided I wouldn't be back. And also the girl who did my pedicure I believe her name was Lena was VERY nice and does an amazing pedicure. My extra star is really for her! I wish I found her at another salon. But it's not enough for me to return. I went elsewhere for a pedicure and fill and was treated really well and there was no issues. I felt much more comfortable. So I go to this salon for dip nails ONLY !!! The rest of the services are not great. Dip nails seem to be good, the nail techs are good, friendly, quality great, I have zero issues with my dip. However, the pedicures are awful, they are way to fast, even when you pay for callus removal it is sub par at best. I can do a better job in my shower. The painting is childish, and the cuticle removal is non existent. I really want to keep going here, because I have had no issues with my dip nails, but I also hate having to go elsewhere for a pedicure. So if I find another salon that I like the dip as much, and can do a quality pedicure, they will lose my business all together. I want a one stop quality shop for ALL my nail needs. read more

I have been going to Plushy Polish for over 9 months now. I come back because this is one of the first places where I feel like there is no imperfections especially the pedicures! The customer service is okay, some of the workers are friendly, others not as much. I usually ask for anyone because most of the times everyone has done a great job but the last two experiences have been horrible. I came in on my 21st birthday and got a French tip. The massage part was good but everything else was not. He was very friendly and chatty though. When the male that was doing my toes was cleaning them up he was very aggressive and rushed, it hurt. Then when he painted the french he did an awful job i could not even believe he thought it looked good. I'm pretty sure he was newer at doing nails. I told them it was way too thick of a line so he filed them down to try to make it appear smaller instead of redoing them. I am way too nice so i said nothing else, tipped over 20% and then proceeded to cry in the car to my mom. She insisted we go back inside so i did and had then redone. I believe her name was Lisa, she did a great job and cleaned up my cuticles even more since they weren't done properly before. I even gave her a $10 tip. Today, 3/27/24 I went in for a pedicure. I requested one of the ladies. The lady that did my toes clearly was not trying. She also was not friendly. She did my callus remover extremely fast and super lightly. They still feel dry and rough after she did it. She did my massage probably the worst I've ever experienced and was just rubbing her hand lightly on my upper leg, never once massaged my feet. Then she got the hot rocks and used them for maybe 10 seconds, doing the same thing she did as the "massage", which was hardly anything! My feet were in desperate need and it ultimately made me sad that she wasn't even trying. I'm too nice to say anything. A different lady painted my toes, I'm not sure why but it was okay because it was Lisa the lady that redid my toes last visit. She painted them very well. I told her and the lady upfront that the lady I started with did not try very hard or do a good job. All I got was a "I'm sorry". They did seem genuine but still. This experience is very unfortunate and I take it personal. Like did she not care or try to do good on the massage because I'm young? Makes me think all kind of things. Very unfortunate for her because i am in the service industry and tip 30% or more!!!! Oh well, very disappointed and I can't believe I took the time to write this review but thats how upset I am. I need to just find someone there I like and continue to come back to just them or find a completely new Salon. read more

The "design" was not a design; it was a row of sloppily arranged stones and looks terrible. In the short time I was there, others in the shop swept dirty hair and trash over my flip flops. The person who worked on me spoke only in her native tongue, laughing, and didn't even have the courtesy to introduce herself. Went here a couple weeks ago and left extremely disappointed and frustrated. I made an appointment before hand and good thing I did because it got busy really quickly. The owner Kevin was the one that did my nails. I could tell he was getting overwhelmed with all the walkins and kept telling proper 5 min wait. Until there was a group of at least 10 people waiting. He realized it wasn't working and told People to come back later. Then he kept rushing my nails. He never asked the shape I wanted or length. He just rushed through the process. I told him I didn't think it was fair he rushed me because I had an appointment. He just continued with the dip and after he said to wash my hands. I mentioned he didn't do the manicure part or trim my cuticles. Then he said he does things differently and does that last? So he went and got a bowl of warm water for what I though was to soak my nails but he never used it. He then messed up a couple of nails in the process of trimming my cuticles. So naturally he has to fix them. I could tell he was getting super flustered as was I. The icing on the cake was when two of his staff members came over and he just went off in Vietnamese and I know he was complaining about me. Being half Vietnamese, I was able to understand some of it. I was furious when I left. Then he charges me $40! For a dip manicure telling me that's after the 20% discount. Clearly he increased the prices to "discount" them. Normally the most I've paid is $35 and that's with tips or design. As I paid and was leaving he was telling the ladies that came in, to come back in 4 hours and he would give them all 50% off. In my opinion this is his first nail salon and needs to focus on managing it better and not do people's nails in the process. read more

Went for a gel mani/pedi today. Arrived 5 minutes early for a 1p appointment only to be taken at 123. Nails were cut way shorter than I expected but I thought well they will grow back. Upon checkout, the total was $85, so I asked how? They charged me $7 for removing dip since I only wanted gel. Mind you the whole time my nails were soaking was while my pedicure was being done. So charging $7 for acetone, cotton and some foil is ridiculous! The prices here are high as I am used to paying $60 for same service but they are convenient to Eastmark. Very disappointed as I had to file my own nails when I got home as they were super touchy and snagged my shirt. Be mindful going here as basic services are pricey. read more

My husband and I went in on opening day. The place is gorgeous and the staff was friendly, but my pedicure wasn't so great. When we got home, I noticed my toes were missing polish in several spots, and my husband's fingernails were cut uneven, and left sharp on the edges. In addition, I don't think the pedicure chairs are very comfortable, so if you also have lower back problems like myself, I'd be weary. All in all, it was a lackluster experience, and I wouldn't return or recommend them. To any reviewers stating that clients should ask for things to be fixed: We shouldn't have to ask. I found the manager to be very unprofessional in bad mouthing another employee. The person who he had do my nails had the personality of a rock. She in no way made me feel comfortable or welcomed. I guess I don't understand what the business gets out of arguing with a customer. I chose two specific colors and the lady insisted that I pick something else which was fine but I still wanted the one rose gold color for New Year's and she continued to bring me other colors like purple etc. that fit she thinks pairs together but did not understand that I still want the rose gold color even if I pair it with something else. I ended up choosing some thing I didn't really want just to make her happy when I am the customer. Her name was Jen and when I asked her her name she ignored me so I asked again. I love this new nail shop in the Eastmark plaza! It's really well designed and the nail techs are all great. I had a good experience with Kevin and Taylor. They both took care of my needs and were skilled. Taylor does great eyebrows and Kevin did a fantastic dip! They have so many colors to choose from and the prices are as expected. I had actually put off trying Plushy Polish because of the negative reviews- But today I didn't want to deal with lane closures and traffic to get to my usual place so I decided to go ahead and give plushy a try even though I felt like I shouldn't expect too much. I'm actually really glad I gave them a chance. My tech was friendly, my service was very good. They had a better selection of polishes than the other places I've been in the area. Although I wasn't there for anything fancy, it seemed that if I had wanted something special (custom nail art for example) it would have been available. The polish application for my pedicure wasn't a 5 star application, but the tech did clean it up nicely before calling it done. It is oddly not shiny, but I'm thinking that's more about my color selection than the application. Prices were a little higher than I expected, but not unreasonable. Overall, I'll be back. read more

Been coming here now for pedicures for about four months. Beautiful, clean facility however in all the years I've been getting pedicures these women here always seem as they're in a hurry to finish. Today was no different as the lady that I had finished in 18 minutes leaving my legs and feet covered in a strange oil. The leg massage wasn't right either as she concentrated mostly on my shins for some reason? If they're looking for repeat customers or referrals then the owner needs to sit down and have a conversation with his employees. It's not always about speed!!! read more

I would leave 0 stars if I could. This is my place I go to for my powder dip nails and have since they opened. Today I stopped in to have my powder dip removed and nails cleaned up bcz I'm having surgery and it's required to have your nails bare/no polish etc to monitor you. And the guy up front said they would not have any time today to fit me in...I said even with the store still being open for hours. I asked can't I wait for someone to be open bcz there was no one waiting and I never have had to make an appointment before and they could fit me in...and explained why I needed it. And today they had less than 8 people having nails done and he said no they wouldn't have time today and try somewhere else down the road. I said this is my place and I know I have to pay etc and he said no try somewhere else. I understand they don't make much money on this but come on. You can't treat people this way and expect to retain business. Seriously the worst service I've ever had and I will definitely share this experience with everyone in the neighborhood that goes here.
