I'm so done with PM Pediatrics! We haven't been there in along time. That doesn't stop them from billing me for services not rendered and even got a bill from a location in Long Island i never knew existed. You cant get a hold of anyone in billing. I would give zero stars if I could! We recieved a bill for a visit that never once occurred! In fact we lived out of state while this apparent visit happened! This bill was from the East Coast where we lived prior to moving to the Midwest! We reported this to PM pediatrics billing dept. and they said they would look into it and NEVER CALLED BACK! This is now the 3rd bill we have received!​ Then today I called the # on the bill where it says, "PM Pediatrics of Livingston For all billing questions, call 516-207-7900". When I dialed that number today it popped up as suspected spam!!! I also noticed on the better business bureau or whatever it's called all these similar complaints from a myriad of locations! They're not even an accredited business. Had I known I would've never went! I think at this point, I'm absolutely CERTAIN, this is a scam! I'm going to look for more people with similar complaints and look into filing a class action lawsuit! The bill is only $10, but based off of principal, I will NOT allow this scam to continue. Especially with the times we're all living in and the financial struggles of this country, this is utterly unacceptable. To scam families of pediatric patients no less, is out right disgusting and outrageous!!! Please, if anyone else has had the same experience comment below! And if you receive the same bill that you know you paid or was incorrectly billed, even if it is a small amount, DO NOT PAY IT! The appointment itself was fine. The billing department is atrocious. They keep trying to auto charge me for a service that I already paid for and that they never even sent an invoice for. They tell you to call the billing department but no one ever picks up or calls you back. I called two different numbers but it's the same issue that no one ever answers and the only time I reached an actual person, they said they were not authorized to review billing matters. read more

Made an appointment for 5pm.checked in at 4:59pm and waiting outside to be called. After 1 hr waiting, I noticed my daughter got pushed back to 5:45pm. When I opened the app, solv, it said we checked in 5:31pm (they changed the check in time and made us wait for more than 1 hr). I don't mind waiting, but this is not right. What's the point for us making an appointment ahead of time and waiting outside after checking in? I think giving them 1 star is too much for them. I wish I could give them 0 star. My son had a 103 fever at home. I decided to take him to PM Pediatrics since my neices usually go there, and two of my cousins have recently brought their kids to this location, and all had great experiences. I was a walkin, arrived around evening time and was seen very quickly. My nurse was very compassionate and patient with my son especially since it was his first time at an urgent care and first time getting tested for potential infections. Dr. Kagan was very knowlegeable and informative. It was a fantastic first time visit, and I see why my family brings their kids to this location for immediate care. read more

Reggie the RN was really friendly and Dr. Oh was very thorough and detailed in explaining everything for us and our toddler to understand. The place was organized and clean. Unfortunately, front desk staff took little care or concern when I walked in with a sick child roughly 15 minutes to closing time on a holiday weekend. A woman at the front desk glanced up at us and pointed to the sign, indicating all appointments or walk-in patients must come in twenty minutes before closing time. While there were no patients in the waiting room or outside, there was not even the minimal effort to recommend another PM Pediatric facility that remained open or to inquire as to why we would be there at that late hour in the first place. It was beyond hurtful and truly upsetting. My daughter had been suffering from a terrible cough and a diagnosis and medical prescription would not have been that labor intensive. (As our own pediatrician proved the following day). I understand rules are rules but one could only hope that exceptions could be made for the health and safety of children. This facility proved otherwise. It also didn't help that medical staff exited the building several five minutes ahead of closing time, laughing. I hope staff learns to treat patients with sincere care and attention. Most parents visiting an urgent health clinic are under extreme stress worrying about their children's health and should not have to bear the burden of inconsiderate medical staff who, at least outwardly, comport themselves in a manner that leaves patients feeling less than human. read more

"PM PEDIATRIC PHYSICIAN RECOMMENDATION TO ASIAN PARENTS AND CHILD: NO NEED FOR FURTHER CONFIRMATORY PCR TEST AT MEDICAL FACILITY ONCE POSITIVE FOR AT-HOME ANTIGEN TEST!" That's right! Exactly what was suggested by the white female physician we saw for a scheduled appt on the evening of 1/3/22 for a pcr covid test from exposure to a family member. My child and I felt like we were on the receiving end of disparate treatment by a young white female physician relating to accessibility of covid pcr diagnostic testing at this facility as we are subservient minorities. The physician stated that a pcr test is not needed since my child came up positive on an at-home covid antigen test and there is a family member who is also COVID positive. When I explained further why I believe a confirmatory PCR test would be beneficial, I received further pushback that a false positive is less likely than a false negative and the test wouldn't change anything. When I provided recent medical history that my child was informed at school of possible exposure to covid prior to Christmas and had tested negative on multiple occasions thereafter without presentation of any symptoms, and did receive the first dose of the covid vaccine just before Christmas, I was attacked with the accusation that I took my child out of quarantine since My child was exposed st school. Ultimately, she said she would order the pcr test if I still want to but the decision is up to me and proceeded to ask me if I wanted a pcr test for my child?! I took a moment to process what was happening and decided that confronting her about what she just did there was pointless as it would unnecessarily prolong the visit further. She then stated that there is an option for the results next day but may not be covered by insurance and would cost $100 but it's up to me, otherwise it's will be a "rapid-pcr" sent to northwell which will take longer. I know coverage by insurance has a lot to do with how statements are written by a physician and coded by billing, but I no longer felt confident that this physician would offer a reason that would benefit coverage so I did forego the option that came back with results faster as she couldn't tell me if my insurance would cover it. Then the physician walked out and the assistant came in to administer the covid pcr swab but I noticed the assistant rolled the swab superficially to one nostril, did not go in further into the nostril and hold it there for 15 seconds, and did not apply it to the other nostril. If you wonder why there are so many false negative pcr tests, this may be the main reason. They should have the staff re-trained and made aware that both nostrils should be rolled with the swab moved further in, and at least 15 seconds should be applied during the swabbing to each nostril. Since my child is positive for the at-home test with no symptoms, I will still keep my child at home and quarantine since there is exposure to the family member who is positive for covid. However, for a physician to discourage a confirmatory pcr test by saying it is unnecessary at an urgent care or any facility where tests are supposed to be administered is a disservice to the patient and the community. A positive at-home covid antigen test alone without symptoms is also unreliable, and having a child quarantine as a result may have parents who work in essential services unnecessarily stay at-home when a pcr test could have verified its validity. A pcr test at a facility also serves as documentation for public health to prevent further quarantine and testing of the child from exposure in the next 90 days which free's up long waiting lines to test for others, and serves as a documented reason for missing school. I hope PM pediatrics reviews this matter with the physician in question and also educates the physician on insurance coverage criteria for the expedited test results so that they can better serve their patients! read more

My non-verbal autistic son was treated with the utmost disrespect and lack of sensitivity. I visited this medical facility twice on the same day (11/10/2019), to have my two sons checked for strep throat. After a two hour wait and my younger son being tested positive for strep throat, as I was leaving the facility to drop off my sick son and pick up my older autistic son, I asked both the doctor and the receptionist if I could check him in to avoid having to wait due to his condition. (This is why I decided to take two trips to the facility in the first place). Both the doctor and the receptionist said it was okay and they agreed to have him checked in. Upon returning within 15 minutes the receptionist advised me that 5 different patients who arrived after I left needed to be seen before me and that the wait was anticipated to be long since there was only one doctor on shift. After I asked how that was possible since I had already checked in prior to their arrival, the receptionist replied that she wasn't able to finalize checking in my son because she is the only one at the front desk. I then paid my copay and took a seat in the waiting area with my son hoping that he will not be overstimulated by the long wait and his anxiety of being in a medical facility in the first place. After about 45 minutes my autistic son, as expected, started to become increasingly anxious, overstimulated and was grabbing me by the hand while he was pointing towards the exit door. I then pleaded to the receptionist who was clearly observing my autistic son's distress if we could at least sit in a private examination room while we wait for our turn to be seen by the doctor. The receptionist went in the back office to inquire with the nurse and/or the doctor and returned to state that unfortunately we will need to remain in the main waiting area until we can be seen, with at least 4 more ahead of us. My and I son remained in the main waiting area for an additional 30 minutes until a new patient arrived and the receptionist informed me that they would also need to go before us because of an emergency. It was at this point that I asked the receptionist to refund my copay because my son was overstimulated and that I needed to visit another medical facility promptly. Upon receiving my $30 cash copay refund I informed the receptionist that I was disappointed by their insensitive treatment towards my autistic son and she did not say anything, nor did she consult or alert the back office staff as I left the premises. I immediately drove my son to the nearby Northwell GoHealth Urgent Care in Manhasset, NY. Upon my arrival my son was already distressed and over agitated due to the horrendous experience mentioned above from our visit to the PM Pediatrics in Manhasset, NY. The medical staff at Northwell GoHealth immediately took my son, gave him a private room and were able to get us in and out in less than 15 minutes. I do not recommend any special needs parents visiting the Manhasset PM Pediatrics facility. read more

I am older like 23 and I visited this facility yesterday on 12/3/23. I made an appointment for 6 pm, it took almost an hour or so to be seen. I asked the front desk man to bill me the copay, he charges me right then and there. I usually never have an issue but that just dug me right through. Also, the provider I saw was nothing but rude. She was like not trying to treat me even though I was on antibiotics from my primary doctor, I still felt sick. I was mortified that a doctor can treat someone so poorly. The MA or PA was super friendly. But overall, never again to this location and I will be calling to complain as well. I'll also if possible be taking my business to Northwell or my primary from now on. read more

Front desk and Nurse at PMPediatrics in Manhasset (1457 Northern Blvd) yelled at an Asian mother. Nurse came out to take them in but the front desk ushers nurse not to take child. The front desks speaks with the nurse privately and the nurse comes back out to instead bring another child in. Asking the nurse why they are no longer the next, the nurse belligerently widens her eyes and rolls it snarling that the other patient now has an 'earlier' appointment. Repeating it again in an aggressive voice of disgust to the Asian mother, the nurse is obviously not going to be professional in treating a 4 year old kid. Would you now trust this nurse to swab your kid's nose? Manhasset PM Pediatrics, Shame on You. This is coming from a healthcare professional that also works in pediatrics. (I am not the mother that went through this but in these times... I feel compelled to share and write for that mom). read more

The facility was very clean, and neat. The staff starting with the front desk, the medical assistant, to the doctor were very friendly, and efficient. Dr. Bruckner was quick but thorough and answered all of our questions. Would definitely recommend, and will be back if needed. We had credit card statement to prove we paid. We have excellent health insurance and our health insurance apparently rejected their bill so we had to pay in full. Lesson learned. After making appointments on multiple occasions, the wait is always one hour. No one in the waiting room, just waiting for an unknown reason. Just like other reviewers mentioned, what is the purpose of an appointment? When asked the receptionist about the wait time, response was "I don't know". Waiting with a child who needs to go to sleep and getting a response like that is unacceptable. Rude personnel on multiple occasions. I walked in thinking I had an appointment but also asked the receptionist what's going on with the website, I'm allowed to check in and the next minute my appointment is canceled. My little man got sick over night and being new to Long Island we haven't found him a pediatrician yet so we came to PM Pediatric. First impression wHen you walk in it's decor is cute with there cabin theme , the girl at the front desk is nice , no complaints but the wait was outrageous. We arrived there at 11:30 and didn't leave until 2 PM. There's 1 doctor, 1 main nurse and about 15 people in the waiting room . The girl in the front kept leaving her post to go in the back and talk to the girl in the back so at all times people were standing waiting by the front desk because no one was there for a lot of the time . They also dont have a designated baby section which kind of sucks so as I had my son in the section older kids who had bigger sicknesses were surrounded him .. I just think if they put more of an effort with staff , and arrangement of there sick/ well section in there office it would be way better . Would I go back ? Not sure . read more

We have taken my two year old to this facility twice and were very happy with the prompt and careful care. The first time was when I was in the hospital after giving birth and he spiked a very high fever. They were very understanding of our need to be overly cautious with a newborn in the picture. The next visit was at 7:30pm when my son slipped going up the stairs to bed and split his chin open. In an attempt to avoid the ER, stitches and the trauma of being held down we wanted to see how bad it was. They were able to close it up with glue and steri strips and it's healed very well. And we were home within an hour of leaving the house! They were so patient and caring with having to get him to stay super still to get it cleaned up. The dr also called the next day to check on him and see how he was doing. read more

My young child got excellent care from a very kind and attentive staff at Manhasset PM Pediatrics. Clean, kid-friendly facility and we only waited about 10 mins to be seen. The doctor didn't rush us and patiently answered all our questions. Nurse was a total pro. Also, our room had a tv which was perfect for distracting my kid during his treatment. There was another customer that booked the same time slot as us, apparently very upset because they have been waiting for a long time. Front desk lady was nice but there was only so much she can do. I visited this facility on 11/2/2019 and had an awful experience. The nurse and doctor were aggressive from the moment we walked through the door. My daughter's asthma was acting up so after giving her a nebulizer treatment at home and seeing no results I decided to take advantage of the new PM pediatrics they opened up nearby. Huge mistake. They tried to administer meds without even explaining to me what they were giving my 5 year old. They gave her a strong steroid and a total of 2 nebulizer treatments (her third in a span of an hour, standard practice is 2 back to back, 3 max) and attempted to give her the 4th. I was advised by my pediatrician and a family member who is a nurse to not follow through with that 4th treatment and Dr Rafii got extremely agitated. She was aggressive making both me and my daughter extremely uncomfortable and with no warning called paramedics. I was then forced to take an ambulance to Cohen's where we were thankfully treated properly and with respect. Dr Rafii acted on ego and emotion rather than logic and was extremely unprofessional. She called paramedics bc she did not like my resistance and forced a 5 year old to go to the ER with an oxygen saturation of 96%. Cohens discharges patients at 94%. This facility is full of employees who should not be allowed around patients; especially children. read more
