It was easy to schedule an appt online and we only waited a few minutes to see the doctor. They offered my son an ice pop while we waited for the doc, which kept him occupied during the short wait. The worst place I've ever taken both my sick children to. I will never come here again. After two different experiences in this place from different doctors, this place only seems to be willing just to take your money and not provide your children with the medicines they need. My kids were coughing their lungs out and the doctor said they were just fine. Wouldn't prescribe any medicine to them, "because she felt that it wouldn't help them and that's not what they are about"! You'd probably get better treatment from a witch doctor. read more

We made an appointment for 3pm to get my son's stitches out and it's currently 4:30pm and we are still waiting. Staff has been exceptionally rude, aggressive, gruff, and inconsiderate. At 3pm they told us to "stay close by".... At 3:45pm we were told there were 2 people ahead of us.... At 4:10pm we saw someone get called ahead of us yet again and when we asked them for an update it escalated into a screaming match. This place doesn't know how to schedule, treat others, or communicate. We won't be back. Parenting when kids are ill or don't fell well is tough enough. I'd find another option for your young child if you're able to. read more

Had an appointment. Waited 1.5 hrs before seeing a doctor. The whole process took 2.5 hours. There is literally no point in taking appointments if it can't be kept. Staff was nice and professional, but they must be undertaffed because this was a ridiculous wait. My kids were more miserable when we left. My twins are always getting sick or injured late in the day/on the weekend when their pediatrician is closed so I have frequented this location for years. The office is always very clean. Everyone is always very pleasant and patient: from the front desk staff checking in, the nurses taking vitals and asking questions/taking history all the way to the doctors. No matter what the illness or injury is, the staff always makes my twins feel at ease when treating them. The staff explains everything in the simplest way and answers any questions or concerns I may have. I trust the care given! They even call to follow up a few days afterwards. My 4-year-old was diagnosed with strep quickly, gently and efficiently, all with a wonderful bedside manner. The tech, pediatrician and nurse were all very knowledgeable AND friendly. Little one was given an apple juice immediately after uncomfortable strep swab (efficiently taken at the very start of our exam so it had time to grow and we wouldn't have to wait even longer for results) and was given her first does of antibiotics and a fever reducer ON THE SPOT before calling in the rest of the Rx to our pharmacy. Having worked for a top pediatric hospital, I was impressed with both their efficiency and bedside manner. If my pediatrician is unavailable, I cannot imagine bringing my children anywhere else. read more

My one star rating has nothing to do with the Doctor my daughter saw. We saw Dr. Lin, she was pleasant and informative. I didn't see any of the negative comments posted here. In fact, it was the opposite. My problem lies solely with a company that asks for your drivers license first then your insurance card. I have no problem proving who I am, but when you require your patients to scan id that's when I say your reasons are full of it. My insurance carrier as well as many others do not require this info. So you put people in a position where they have to choose between allowing you to copy info that your regular pediatrician never asks for to help your child that is in pain or leave. read more

If your infant/child is sick and your pediatrician can't be reached, PM Pediatrics is hands down the best alternative in the area. I will never, ever take my son to the emergency room unless it's obviously necessary and/or PM Pediatrics is closed. The nurses were fantstic and not patronizing/cold which has been my experience at a local hospital (the "one" in Ridgewood). Dr. Shah at PM Pediatrics is awesome. He really cares about his patients and takes the time to answer any and all questions you may have and gives you a plan of attack to cure what may be ailing your child. He had that certain sense of calmness about him that immediately put us at ease. As a side note, we had a terrible experience with an ER doctor (attending M.D. no less) in Ridgewood where we practically walked out of the hospital. He was a classic " cover your a** " doctor who wanted us to tell him what we wanted to do. I flat out said to him "You're the doctor, you tell us what you think we should do!!!!" I repeat, PM Pediatrics is our 2nd go to facility if our pediatrician cannot be reached. If I have to go to an ER, we're going to Hackensack. read more

Took my son on a Saturday night for a fever. We were there for about two hours, which given how busy they were is completely fair. The entire process was great, and the staff was wonderful to work with. The nurse who administered meds to my son was very patient with him as he fought her most of the time. I was very happy with the experience and would not hesitate to use them again or recommend them to friends. Received a follow up call 72 hours later to check to see how my son was feeling. Took my 7-month old niece in due to an abscess under her arm. Jotted our name on the list and 10 minutes later we were called up form out info. Waited a short 6 minutes before being seen. Mike took her vitals and made us feel comfortable. My niece was seen by Dr. Lin. Efficient, but a bit short on bedside manners. Not rude, didn't expect that from someone who deals with kids. The highlight of our visit was Nurse Allison. What a great experience. Friendly, thorough, playful with our crying baby. She was patient and knew exactly how to calm us. read more

My 1 year old son was vomiting so my wife and I decided to take him to the PM Pediatric Urgent care in Paramus, NJ. It was a windy day so I rushed my child into the facility and was asked for insurance and my ID which I provided. Then my wife came in with my 4 year old and the receptionist requested her drivers license which she had forgotten at home as we were rushing for the check up... they then said my wife can not go in with the baby because she had no ID!!!! my 1 year old was crying for his mom and I told them, you can ask the 4 year old who is your mom and then they got more nasty and started raising their voices. When I came out after the doctor saw the baby, my wife told me that they were gossiping about me and that one of the receptions was acting tough and laughing about what happened. This all happened while my wife was sitting in the waiting room. They have lost 2 customers from this point on and any family member of mine or friend who has kids will not being going there. I hope it was worth it for them. read more

Top notch service all around from the second you walk in the door. We arrived on a Friday around 5:30pm, check-in was smooth and we were immediately shown to our room. Dr. Quim and our x-ray technician were both friendly and knowledgeable and we were lucky that our daughter's health issue was solved rather quickly. As we were leaving, our daughter said, "I loved my doctor and nurse, let's come visit them again". I had such a horrible experience with the front desk staff; and sadly this is not the first time. Several weeks ago, I took my toddler to PMPeds for a horrible cough; only to be told "We are at capacity, try to come back tomorrow. We have a reservation for 8:45 p.m." I was annoyed; and ended up taking her to her regular pediatrician the next day. How is a WALK IN urgent care "at capacity"? Now yesterday to avoid the same scenario, I put both my one and two year old on their "reservation list". I will admit, after racing to get the kids after my own crazy work day in health care, and then barreling traffic on route 4 AND 17; we arrived 15 minutes late. I was buzzed in and apologized to the front desk staff; and gave her my children's names. She glared over the too of the computer and said, "you are SUPPOSED to be here AT your reservation time" EXTREMELYYYYY rude. This is NOT the first time their front desk staff has been abrupt and NOT friendly. The provider was also not overtly friendly. Medical assistant that took my children's vitals (not sure of his name) was thee ONLY staff who acted like someone in a PEDIATRIC setting should. Please don't forget- health care is still a CUSTOMER SERVICE setting- people do not HAVE to come there- there are pediatricians and urgent cares all over. I love the idea of a pediatric urgent care; but they need to revamp or retrain their staff in how to smile and speak to people. read more

My daughter has frequented PM Pediatrics on many occasions where our experience was amazing. However, we brought our toddler around 9/10 pm on 2/22 for a terrible ear ache. Wait time was perfect- we were seen right away by medical provider. My dissatisfaction was the clearly missed diagnosis of an ear ache that was infected. The medical provider said it was not an infection and gave an antihistamine (to a 2 year old with no history of allergies). The pain worsened and we took her to her primary doctor the next day at 9 am. My daughter had two raging ear infections with one ear about to rupture. I called PM on 2/23 hoping to speak with the doctor in charge about this and no one even bothered to call me back. I guess customer care really is neither important Nor is correctly diagnosing a patients illness. read more

Waste of time. Can't speak to person at actual office only was able to talk to corporate/call center. Confirmed they did rapid Covid testing before booking online appointment and even put as reason as To why my child needed to be seen. Get there and they can not do the rapid test. Took morning off for this appointment. I asked why they didn't call to jet us know ahead of time. Lady at desk said they just opened (hour ago) a have so many appointments. So nobody looks to see why patients are coming in???? So why make them put it down when scheduling appointment. read more

Heard about his place from friends. Daughter re-hurt her foot and it was late 10:30 pm. Decided to give this place a try instead of the Hospital ER, where you wait and take a minimum 3 hrs ! Well surprise to me !! I booked a time slot online and got in the car and drove over. Check-in was a breeze ! Staff was so helpful !!! From checking-in, to seeing the doctor, nurse !! They were fast ! We got there at 11:20 and we were out by 12:00 midnight ! Hands Down - We will be back (if hurt) ! I highly recommend this place to anyone with kids. The convenience is great, but the two different doctors we saw were sub-par at best. We visited PM Pediatrics twice to (mis)diagnose my daughter. We waited 40 minutes for the result of a 15 minute flu swab, was given antibiotics my daughter did not need and had to call daily for results on a lab test as we were told, should have it tomorrow--3 days in a row. Our nurses were always pleasant, but I do not have a ton of confidence in the doctors here at all. read more

Made an appointment for my granddaughter to be seen for a COVID test. Received not one, but THREE confirmation text messages confirming the appointment plus an email (over a period of two days). Drove an HOUR to get there and received a phone call fifteen minutes before the appointment to cancel the appointment. Called back to reschedule and was then advised that the PATIENT cancelled the appointment. After having the issue escalated, I was then advised that we had never even MADE an appointment. Clearly no idea what they're doing over there. If they cannot be trusted with scheduling issues, I doubt very much they can be trusted with healthcare. Just my opinion. read more

Let's get right to it. 9pm- felt my 10mnth old (Magnus) needed to see a doctor due to lack of eating and coughing as if something was stuck in his throat 930- decide against the "ER" and tried PM Pediatric, searched the website and found one near me wait time said 30 min, or I could schedule a slot for 1040pm. We scheduled and immediately got a text confirm 1015pm- leave house in route to location, with traffic arrive at 1030 1030- walked in and checked in via iPad, signed digitally two notices, paid copay, and was greeted nicely 1040- Magnus was being weighed, and vitals checked everything very smooth and little bother to him 1055- in DrShah. Consult, made mom feel at ease, found problem, advised on solution 11:20- all done let's go home ! In short my appointment was 1040 and by 1140 my baby was back in his crib asleep. Best and most convenient service ever for this type of care. Will not be returning to an ER setting again. I urge you to try it if you need to... the location is very colorful, spacious, free wifi, and open ! Great staff everyone was pleasant thanks again ! read more

We had our first visit to this urgent care. The front desk staff did not greet us, nor did they smile at all. When working with kids and nervous parents, smiling is tenderness is helpful. My 3 year old son woke up with a fever of 102.1. I took him here, the doctor checked him out, stated his throat was a bit red it wasn't anything to be concerned about "seems" like it's all viral it should clear up within 4-5 days, and to continue giving him Motrin and Tylenol. 3 hours later I'm at the ER with him for 102.9 fever that would not break. Doctor takes one look at his throat and says he has strep, she doesn't know how it was missed earlier. Well I'll tell you exactly how it was missed! Urgent care was busy and the doctor was trying to get us out as quickly as possible without properly checking my son. This isn't the first time this has happened. They need to be more thorough when checking kids, instead of rushing because they're overwhelmed. If I could give them no stars I would! read more

I went here two weeks ago and had a pleasant experience. The nurse and Dr. Quintero-Solivan were amazing with my daughter. They were patient, caring and gentle. My daughter was crying so much that they gave her 9 stickers and an ice pop to calm her down. The location is very spacious, clean and full of cute paintings and decorations. Each room has a tv so the kids can watch it while waiting to be seen by the Dr. Lastly, they were able to give my daughter the first dose of medicine so that it could start working right away while I got her prescription. My only complain would be that the registration lady didn't look happy to be there. She didn't greet us when we got there or when we left. It's not that she was rude or anything like that, it's just that it seemed like she would be anywhere but there. read more

This is a wonderful resource. They are fast efficient and accurate. They were able to provide the first dose of antibiotics for a strep throat in the office allowing our child to go home instead of having to wait at the pharmacy for the "20 minutes" that ends up turning into an hour. You can schedule an appointment online and you know exactly when to show up without having to wonder when you will get in. In an industry where an appointment is often nothing more than an invitation to sit in a room at a specified time to wait another 45 minutes for a professional they are a refreshing group. read more

My issue was with receptionist that was as pleasant as root canal so was the nurse with her attitude. I will avoid this place just like a plague, when you come in with the sick child people's attitudes is the last thing I want to deal with. Maybe working in prison would be a better option ? Just to update this a little further ... So the doctor literally said that he doesn't know what is wrong with my son, which is perfectly understandable since it was really too early to tell. But he discharged us with a hand foot and mouth decease!!! Yet he had no sores or bumps !!! So he threw in this diagnosis only based on the fact that is going around ! I went to our Pediatritian 2 days later and they said it was just a viral infection. I went two days before Christmas with a two-year old and had barely any wait. I asked if they just weren't busy and was told they were very busy but just had a lot of ppl on staff that day. At a time when everything else is crazy busy and feels understaffed and stressful, it was relaxed and efficient. Good planning for the seasonal rush is VERY MUCH appreciated when you have a sick toddler on top of all other stresses of shopping and family. PJ masks was playing on two big screen TVs in the waiting areas, and there was a smaller TV in the exam room to entertain us while we waited... Normally my daughter is freaking out by the time the nurse asks a few questions, but she was perfectly at ease. Dr. Franco came in and made digging in her ears as painless as possible and was great at distracting her and comforting her through tests. She took the time up answer all of my questions and got my daughter's first dose of antibiotics in her before we even left so there was less urgency to run straight to the pharmacy. I was in and out in under an hour with a calm child with an ear infection two days before Christmas... WONDERFUL urgent care for children, will definitely use again when I can't be at my regular pediatrician. read more
