Be prepared to wait- very very slow office. The doctors are nice but you will be there for a minimum of 2 hours.

When your patients are exclusively children and adolescents, the level of difficulty increases geometrically -- along with the decibel level. Dr. Ghavami has somehow figured out how to master his difficult calling -- approaching each of his patients with kindness, humor and a gentle but highly skilled hand. He has been our sons' pediatrician for almost 18 years and we never looked elsewhere. His diagnostics are spot on, and he and his wonderful staff (thank you Connie) are like family. In an era where quality medical care is hard to come by if you don't have lots of cash to throw around, and medical practice groups resemble a revolving door, it is refreshing to deal with a solo practitioner like Dr. Ghavami. He takes pride in his work and resists being gobbled up by large practice management conglomerates. This means that in this medical practice, you always see the same doctor and he remembers you and your children by name and takes his time solving your medical issues. Highly recommended!

Dr. Ghavami was so sweet and wanted to make sure we received everything we needed. He was thoughtful and respectful of my decisions as a mom. My boys struggled with their fingers being pricked as they have Autism and had a meltdown but the staff were very understanding and helped us through it. I will definitely be returning and highly recommend.

Hey all, Just wanted to take a moment to talk about my…read moreexperience with Dr. Barry LoSasso, Allison Tan (MS PA-C) and the wonderful center of excellence for Pectus team based out of Paramus New Jersey. I'm 28 years old and decided to finally speak with an expert in August of 2020. I was tremendously fortunate that Dr. LoSasso moved his practice to New Jersey from California which meant he was only a 30 minute drive from me. Most of my life I had been dismissed by my doctors when I asked them about my Pectus that began to get worse in my late teens. They would often give me weird looks or brush me off. That is not the case when you meet Dr. LoSasso and Allison. I was a nervous wreck going in but those feelings evaporated as soon as we started talking. They are the kind, attentive and make you feel like they want to take care of you. I of course brought a full 4 pages of questions and Allison took all of the time needed to answer them. After the initial meeting them, they determined that I had a relatively moderate case and should be further evaluated. As soon as they gave me the list of tests I would need I hit the ground running and was able to get all of the preoperative testing done in about a month and a half. When everything was said and done I had a haller index of 4.7 and was found that there was indeed compression on my heart. Im an avid runner and weight trainer and as I got older I was starting to feel fatigued and plateauing in my workouts. After evaluating the results, Dr.LoSasso and Allison Determined that I would indeed need to go forward with the Nuss procedure with at least two bars. Fast forward to October 30th, 2020 I was sitting in the pre op room, away from my family because I didn't want to risk exposing them to covid. I was a nervous wreck. shaking, crying etc. I had never had any sort of operation done before so this was all new to me. However the moment that the amazing Valley hospital Medical team that would be looking over me came to say hi I started to relax. They were cool, calm and confident. They reassured me that I would be taken care of and only had only great things to say about Dr. LoSasso and how much of a pro he was. They talked about him like he was living legend known throughout the hospital. Then Allison came to hang out with me as we waited a little longer for go time. She sat with me and helped me calm down, saying she would be there with me the whole time. Dr. LoSasso came by soon after to just go over the procedure. I was struck by how much of a calming presence he has which is something I noticed the first time I met him those months ago. When the time came, They wheeled me into the OR, Allison holding my hand, good on her promise to be with me the whole way through. I got inside, they played some Frank Ocean for me and before I knew it I drifted off. 9-10 hours later I woke up a little groggy, probably saying some embarrassing stuff and two bars living rent free in my chest.but I made it. Dr.Losasso and Allison were thrilled with the results. The operation was a success. but in no where near the amount of pain I expected (granted I had some serious pain killers pumping through my body, But Dr. LoSasso uses a nerve blocking agent called exparell that is highly effective. It releases slowly to block pain so that by the time it is out of your system you are in a good rhythm of pain medicine to reduce any pain. I was in the hospital for about 4 days being taken care of the most amazing Nurses and medical experts at the Valley hospital. Pain was a 2/3 out of 10 the whole time, taken care of my the amazing medical and nursing staff at the Valley Hospital. They were nothing but patient with me and encouraging me. It was also cool to talk to the nurses who had heard that the Nuss procedure was being done at the hospital but hadn't had the chance to work with patients who had it done. Dr. LoSasso and Allison always checked in to see how I was doing and made sure I wasn't in too much pain. So fast forward to the recovery stage. The pain was never out of control. It took a few days to get to used to sleeping in a recliner and the medicine schedule (Waking up at random hours so you don't miss your next dose) but after a few weeks I was in a good routine. I Could go on pretty long walks and it felt great to be able to stretch my legs and start recovering. PT is a must for the recovery process and Dr. LoSasso and Allison help you figure those next steps along the way. I started PT and that went so well that by my 3 month post op Appointment I go the go ahead to start exercising and jogging again. Jogging has been a little slow to get back into but its amazing how quickly I noticed my stamina improve. Now Im back to weight training, HIT training at PT and all of the other things I love to do. I owe so much to Dr. Losasso, Allison and their entire center of excellence team. Thank you, Thank you, Thank you!

I saw Losasso in 2018 after 10 years of doctor appointments for complications from my modified…read moreravitich. I went to see if i was a candidate for the nuss. I was not. While there, I began educating Dr. Losasso on the vacuum bell, as it's been very important to my well-being and ability to work. He said, and I quote "Those things don't work, once you take them off, you loose the results." He failed to mention that most people who get the NUSS, might have the same issue 10 years later. There isn't enough long term follow studies of pectus people. And the surgeons seem to think we are live-stock. The vacuum bell does have lasting results. It comes in fat. When i use my vacuum bell consistantly, like a prosthetic device, my emotions regulate, my bowls regulate, my metabolism regulates and my respiratory distress vanishes. All these factors have weight and physiological properties. At the moment, out ICD-10 code is rigged to benefit the surgeons, leaving us as livestoke. I can not live without my vacuum bell, and the healthcare of our nation refuses to work with me with the device. Surgeons are lazy. They just want to cut and hack. They could be teaching kids how to live symbiotically with their vacuum bells, get the same dramatic results I got. You'll notice, people like me, with pectus excavatum, don't get representation in media, we don't get a box for disability. We don't have a voice, a support group that isn't run by surgeons. The surgeons are benefiting, then loosing our number once we turn into adults, barring proper medical prosthetic treatment for our people. Ekart Klobe is tryin to be our savior. Dr. Lassaso and the other Non-Pectus surgeons are profiting off us. We are being used and worst, they are controlling our voice. You were a waste of time, Dr. Lassaso.

The icing on the cake was when we went with my 1mo today, they forgot to come back and provide a vaccination for over 20 minutes. I had to find a nurse and ask for assistance. I'm sure they were busy or someone dropped the ball, but trying to console my undressed baby waiting for a vaccine is not my idea of a fun morning. Pediatricians are incentivized by big pharma with kickbacks to fully vaccinate children. Money is more important than the adverse reactions or injuries that can occur. They gave us a letter stating that for 30 days we could still be seen, but when we called about our son, who had a 105 fever, they hung up and didn't call us back. He almost died due to their reckless dismissal behavior. All the vaccine schedules are now changing. It's amazing they say to only introduce one food at a time in case there is a reaction, but have no problem giving 5 vaccines at once. After 100 years, there's no vaccine for cancer. After 40 years, there's no vaccine for HIV or AIDS. In one year of Covid, within a week, pharmaceutical companies came out with a vaccine and nobody thinks there's anything wrong with vaccines. If they are so safe, then why do the pharmaceutical companies need complete immunity from the government from lawsuits and criminal charges? Vaccines contain formaldehyde, aluminum, MSG, aborted fetal DNA fragments, fetal bovine serum, monkey kidney cells, mercury, and pig circovirus (XPCV-1). You want that in your kid? It's already been proven that some of these vaccines have 75 times the amount of aluminum that's considered toxic for a newborn or infant. After 30 years, the CDC reversed their statement that vaccines do not cause autism. It's on their website. All of the studies that have conclusive information against big pharma and the CDC have been suppressed. For example, the increase in SIDS after vaccines. They have found high levels of aluminum in the brain of all children with autism, which leads back to vaccines. Leukemia is the leading cancer in children. Guess what's linked to leukemia? Formaldehyde. Guess where there's formaldehyde? In vaccines. RFK Jr. just banned thimerosal (the mercury-based preservative that never should've been there in vaccines). Do you know what that means? It means every parent who questioned, who was laughed at, dismissed, or called "crazy"... was RIGHT. The FDA admitted under oath there were zero human safety studies on thimerosal. ZERO. Government documents and thimerosal's own label warned of nervous system damage, reproductive harm, and developmental delays. They knew. They covered it up. And millions of children paid the price. That's not health. That's not protection. That's medical corruption in plain sight. Peter Rost worked at Pfizer for 17 years. He was a Vice President. Then he became a whistleblower. His exact words: "We didn't discover drugs. We discovered markets." If a drug cured asthma in 3 days, Pfizer would kill it. Chronic disease is where the money is. Cures are bad for business. A patient cured is a customer lost. Diabetes medications you take forever. Blood pressure pills with no end date. Antidepressants that never quite fix the problem. The industry doesn't want healthy people. It wants managed sickness. And here's the kicker: Pfizer spent over $11 million lobbying Congress in 2023 alone. They fund the FDA officials who approve their drugs. The revolving door between Pfizer executives and federal health agencies isn't conspiracy. It's public record. Former FDA commissioners now sit on Pfizer's board. If the mother tests negative for hepatitis B, why are we giving the vaccine to newborns? Do we expect that in the first few years of life, they will use drugs or have unprotected sex? You are four times more prone to get an adverse reaction or serious injury from a vaccine than from the actual disease itself. For example, with tetanus, there have been 13 deaths in ten years, and all were old ladies. Guess what? There have been way more injuries from the tetanus vaccine to children. Same thing for polio and many other ailments. Johnson and Johnson made talcum powder that contained asbestos and also had sunscreen that caused cancer, but you trust them to make vaccines? People need to wake up and listen to these congressional hearings. The CDC and big pharma are admitting to not documenting safe studies as well as suppressing information. Whistleblowers are coming forward and exposing all these lies. They are dropping mandates, changing the vaccine schedule, and banning certain components in these vaccines. Of course, everybody with Trump deranged syndrome claims it's all fake news and propaganda by the Trump administration, but if there was nothing really there, why are the CDC and big pharma dropping to their knees then and complying? It's amazing how the cultures that do not vaccinate their kids. Don't have any autism fertility issues, autoimmune, or any of the problems that we see VAERS has tons of documented deaths and injuries from vaccines and
