I chose Firehouse Movers because of their glowing Google reviews, and their initial estimate was very competitive. Unfortunately, the final bill was a complete shock. To begin with, they insisted on a virtual estimate and refused to come out in person and assess the job. This was a 5000 sq ft home full of furniture, and I wanted the most accurate estimate possible. I asked multiple times for an in-person estimate, but my requests were declined. By moving day, I had sold two-bedroom sets and several other large pieces of furniture that were included in the original estimate. Even with significantly fewer items to move, the final price was more than double the original estimate. On the day of the move, I somehow went from needing two trucks, as stated in the estimate, to four. And from 9 to 17 total man hours. At the end of a long day, my husband just wanted them gone, so he reluctantly paid the bill before they could log anymore hours. When I called to discuss the bill, Firehouse claimed I had verbally approved the additional associated costs over the phone, citing a recording, which was completely false. I have asked multiple times for this recording, but I have not received it. That was not a small miscalculation. Our move was grossly underestimated. This whole experience felt misleading and dishonest. Stay away.

Everything was loaded from our old house quickly. There were a few items that didn't fit in the truck but we were able to go back later and retrieve. Christian and Cameron wasted no time upon arrival at our new house. They were communicative and checked in periodically to ensure boxes and furniture were going to the right locations. They quickly unloaded and had our furniture reassembled in no time. We were very impressed by them. They carried themselves professionally and were friendly. They had us unloaded quicker than expected! They were very appreciative of the Gatorade we picked up for them and thanked us several times. After unloading, they walked the house with us to ensure everything was where we wanted it. Can't say enough good things about these two and about Einstein Moving. Price was very reasonable especially considering their efficiency and quality of work. Well-worth the cost. I've already recommended Einstein Moving to others. Would definitely hire again! They have been an absolute nightmare to deal with…read more First, they outsource moves to other moving companies, so by the end of the process you could be dealing with three or four different companies and multiple price changes. My original quote started around $2,400 and eventually jumped to over $5,000. They also failed to clearly disclose important details up front. I was never told that: * My belongings would be sharing a truck with another client * Delivery could take 1-7 business days * The move would be transferred between different companies Up until I called asking where my belongings were, they kept telling me delivery would take 1-3 days. Only then did they suddenly change it to 1-7 business days. It feels intentionally deceptive because these details only came out after I had already signed the contract and was in the middle of moving. When I tried to cancel after the second and third price increases, they refused to refund my deposit. Their only response was "it's in the contract." Yes, there may be wording buried in the contract, but when a customer clearly explains what they need and you verbally promise something completely different just to get them to sign, that is misleading. If I had known the truth up front, I never would have booked with them. I could have rented and handled this move myself for around $1,500 and had my belongings delivered the same day. My items were picked up Sunday, 5/17/2026, and as of 5/21/2026 I still have not received them. The move is only about a 7.5-hour drive from Kentucky to South Carolina. Every time I call, nobody can give me an update. They just say they'll call me back -- and then nothing. I strongly recommend looking elsewhere for a moving company.

Beau, the owner, visited us and gave an estimate that was very competitive. Throughout the move process they had very good communication. Before the move, we packed up most of the things ourselves, but Phoenix offered to have some of their office staff pack up the fragile items like dishes and art work on an hourly rate. This really helped! On the day of the move, they were on time and they brought in 10 people to pack the van and get us on our way quickly. When they moved us, they did not consolidate and transfer our things to another van, our things stayed in the same van until it reached its final destination.
