We are happy with the new fence. The work was done in a timely manner as well as the clean-up. Crew was professional and courteous.

I heard my son talking to someone right after I walked in and popped back out to check what was going on. This elderly woman was telling my son to take my dog into the store because her husband was coming with their dog and her dog will snap at our dog. She was becoming forceful and using her body to push in. I said no we aren't taking the dog in and she positioned her body between me and my son and stretched her arms out towards me and my dog as if to push us. I said stop, I can't bring him in the store and she got angry and asked why not. I said I don't think dogs are allowed to which she replied it's my store just take your dog in there my husband is coming with our dog and he might snap at you all while still trying to push us in. I blocked her and said that I wasn't going in and we would just leave. She got even pushier telling me no and to get in. This is all happening on a public sidewalk in front of the entrance of her business. My son and I worked our way around her with our dog while she was trying to block us and left. 1.If the owner has a dog that could snap at others they should not be bringing them into the business. 2. Angrily speaking and trying to physically make someone do something they don't want to is not okay. 3. If they were bringing their dog that could snap at us into their business, why should we go into the business with our dog or without- the request wasn't making sense. 4. If there was a legitimate concern, why not approach us with something like hi, I'm the owner of this store. Would you mind moving to XXXXX location so that my dog who may not like yours can get by. Guaranteed a completely different interaction would have occurred. This owner seems a bit unstable and I will avoid it the store and the public area near it.

It is not possible to overstate how good these guys are. Mine was a smaller job, a second story deck with a sliding door. My previous contractor for this job never bothered to show up, after waiting 6 months. I gave up on this project because in 2020-2021, construction costs skyrocketed as well as materials. No one wanted to do a small job like mine. Well I just took a chance, and called Ken. I couldn't believe how fair his pricing was, and he was able to start my job almost immediately, due to a break in his schedule. They showed up on time every day. He answered my calls immediately, every single time. The were so clean, inside and out. And when a problem rose up, as they do with every job, do you know what they did? They actually just went ahead and solved it without having to come to me and complain and ask for more money or whatever. They treated my job like it was the most important thing they had ever done. I am just blown away. And grateful. Thank you Ken and team. I have attached some pictures, even though this is before paint, etc.

But, I really wanted to deal with a local company, not some big outfit from across the water. Bill at Creative was great when I made my initial visit. He knows his stuff, took his time to explain everything, and followed up every question. I ended up picking a granite I never thought I would, but the price was right. It took couple of weeks for templating appointment, and then two weeks for the manufacture which they do on site with their giant machines. I really liked being able to review how my countertop pieces were being placed on the slabs I chose, and having the ability to tell the designer "please turn that one 90 degrees, to take advantage of that white area I want to see in the top right corner of the backsplash" etc., because they have photos of your slab they lay out on! The installation guys, that I ended up calling the "J crew" because all three of their names started with J, were extremely polite and professional. Yes, sadly we ran into couple of issues. Not with the extremely complicated pieces with 6 different angles that had to go into awkward places - those "weirdos" were all measured and fit perfectly. It was the rectangle backsplash piece that had an issue, and it was addressed on the spot, and resolved to my satisfaction within 2 days. Kudos to Creative to owning their mistake, owning it, and making it right. Overall, I would go with these guys again, and do recommend them. And no, they didn't ask me to write them a review.

My first encounter with them was when I was picking through their bone yard to come up with some quartz countertops for bathrooms in 2 houses. Anne was so accommodating working with me even though I knew she had so many other clients with big projects on her plate. As time went on our original countertop installer completely dropped the ball regarding the kitchen for both houses. Never ordered the quartz and never communicated the debacle to us. After many inquiries I found out that our colour choice had been discontinued. These were 2 custom homes. I reached out to Jason and Anne from Olympic they dove right in and saved the day, not without a ton of legwork, follow-up and extra effort to find the last two slabs in the US of the one quartz colour from the original order. The other order, let's just say, they are miracle workers. But it gets even better.... Original installer told me I needed more than the 2 slabs to do our kitchen and master bath, BUT Jason came out and cleverly templated our site. The countertops have a design that connotes a rhythm to it and their technicians (artists) cut the tops and waterfalls as to not interrupt its intent. From top to bottom this is a business that you will want to work with. You can see that everyone appears to enjoy their job and their clients. Refreshing in today's world.

Absolutely no fun to cook in. A google search brought us to A Kitchen That Works, and Molly. After an extended phone consultation, and then an in-person meeting. The decision to work with Molly was an easy one. She was very knowledgable, and easy to talk to. We completed the initial design and planning stages in the Winter of 2021. Expectations and schedule were set from the get-go. We knew exactly what needed to be done (by us and her) and when. Molly is so in-tune with the industry...when she heard cabinet prices were going to be increased, she let us know immediately, and we were able to jump on ordering before it happened. Construction began in March of 2022 and was completed in June 2022. We were living in the house during construction (my husband working from home). The job site was left tidy each day. Molly has a great collection of sub contractors she works with, each one equally knowledgeable and as impeccable as her. And trust me, the poor electricians were really put to the test at our house! We only had a few small delays, neither of which were Molly's fault (a pandemic can definitely make things difficult). But, communication was clear, and we always knew what and why something was (or wasn't) occurring. I would absolutely work with Molly again and recommend her to anyone. She is not only an amazing designer and general contractor, but an all around good person. I will not hesitate to call her for our next remodel project. Her and Clive are now on our Holiday card list, whether they like it or not!

Known for coming in on or below budget Molly met that criteria. It's clear she knows her stuff and for those who think it's easy handling not only different tradespeople, but personalities, particularly being in a 'man's world', she ran a tight but fair ship and all the workers I talked to privately expressed their admiration for her work. As I sit here and look at all the details in one part of our now open concept downstairs, it's a package that all works: placement of windows, lighting, etc as well as choices of trim. doors, etc. And though ultimately all the choices were ours, she nudged us in areas to find the most practical and aesthetically pleasing elements. I can honestly say, each morning when we enter this space, it's a beautiful sanctuary.
