Not only did the build out take forever (7 months), but since picking up my van on my first/second use, I have had roof leaks because they didn't install the "C" gaskets right for the AC unit, I experienced multiple leaks in the pressurized plumbing system (see pictures below) which caused wood damage to the cabinetry due to poor PEX seals, I still have no relief from the misbehaving (and Rydawell recommended) Ecoflow electrical system, I discovered they failed to insulate the sliding door, they actually plumbed the gray water lines into the BOTTOM of the gray water tank using the same penetration point as the drain (this caused water to back up into the shower pan when using the sinks (not to mention it would fail completely in freezing weather) and I discovered that the Rixen heating system was installed against manufacturer recommendations (to name just some of the issues). This has caused me thousands of dollars to get repaired (so far) at another (competent) van builder. While his hourly rate may seem cheaper, it takes him much longer to accomplish work items. As an example, his quote to install a 2nd battery (which he was supposed to have left room for) was twice as long as I was able to get it done elsewhere by professional van builders.

I needed to catproof my deck to keep my cats safe and…read moreabide by the HOA requirements (using screws to minimize damage, ensure the netting is removable for when exterior work is done, and to only install into the cedar trims). I provided the netting and some edging rope and he got it all done in about an hour and a half. He also was able to install the netting on the exterior side of the railing so my cats can still enjoy the railing, now perfectly safely. Kept to the same quote he gave me initially and also cut a window insert for my AC to size free of charge. There is a side of the netting that didn't have readily available cedar trimming to afix it to, so he made it taut to make up for it, and brought it in to the interior to give my cats less room to try to squeeze into it. I've realized now after the fact that we could have extended the netting to the door frame. I'm keeping it down with tape for now because my cats are naughty and untrustworthy, but I'm going to put some screws in the doorframe and secure the netting down with ties. He refinished the table and chairs a few years ago, and this year (2022) I asked him to refinish the buffet. I'm the third generation to enjoy this set, and I was hoping to leave it to my heirs--but it's not a set anymore! The buffet is MUCH darker than the table, and Scott has not taken responsibility. He has blamed the wood (they are made from the same wood) and bleaching from the sun (the table isn't in the sun), and his constant refrain is "I used the same stain." He should have noticed as he was working that the results were much darker than the original or at least that the exterior was much darker than the interior. Scott eventually said that he would have to strip it back down and redo it. I agreed and offered to send a table leaf for reference, but now he's not even responding to email. I'm afraid my next step is small claims court.
