These folks did a great job removing an old builder mirror from my master bathroom that was starting to bow outward. It was a large mirror, -70"x-40", and as builders mirror are it was adhered to the wall. They removed the mirror with no damage to the wall at all, and were in and out in about 10 minutes. They communicated very well, the folks arrived comfortably within the scheduled window, and we found their value to be very excellent given the odd job. read more

I've used PNW Glass twice now and both experiences were great. I needed a custom mirror cut of a cabinet I built. The took the door and cut and shaved to mirror to fit perfectly. I was seeking some custom size mirrors for a medicine cabinet I'm building. They were very helpful and responsive.

The Job: Replace One 2nd Story Master Bath Window. I have worked in the construction industry alongside all trades in the past over decades. I could have done this install myself - but I wanted to have someone else do it due to my limited time available. Ultimately I spent about 2 days of my own time - which wasn't worth the few hundred bucks I saved by using them. Nice folks though! Pros: 1. Very friendly on the phone and in person. 2. Price was competitive by a couple hundred dollars. 3. Glass itself appears to be solid. 4. Manager offered to have them come back out to address issues (see below why I declined that.) 5. PNWG&M's final offer was 12% off to compensate for lack of our satisfaction (better than nothing). Cons: 1. Communication was dismal & frustrating. 2. Installers used framing materials not rated, nor appropriate for exterior use - especially in the PNW. 3. Sloppy crooked cuts, sloppy caulk, rough finished look. 4. Manager was uninterested in seeing photos of my concerns (very odd). 5. I didn't trust them the come back out to "fix" what was wrong (see below why). Called July 17 for quote. Took a week to get one. When I did, I paid the 50% deposit same day & heard nothing for 16 more days! I emailed them & they replied "Someone should be contacting you to schedule soon". Week goes by, nothing. So, I contacted them again. 1 month so far. Throughout, they'd never reach out to me - or followed up at any time (except for money). Install started on Aug 21. They showed up with the wrong exterior trim. They had to leave and get wood from the hardware store 2x. Came back with raw, unfinished pine 1x4's. When I saw this, I asked him why they were putting raw interior wood on an exterior trim area. You should use a least a primed wood (fir). He replied, "Well, you just paint it and it's good". So I asked are you guys going to at least prime it? And he said no. So now I'm in a pinch to get it painted before I leave next day before it rains. Then, I noticed their sloppy, crooked cuts. I asked them if they ever use a straight edge and a pencil line to make their cuts. I knew the interior was going to look like crap with the amount of caulk they would have to put in. Gaps were from 1/4 - 1/2" wide on the interior. He said, "we will use an 1/8 inch bead of caulk and I promise you'll be happy with the way it looks." I asked, "How are you going to cover a 1/4" to a 1/2" gap with a 1/8" bead of caulk?" He said, "Don't worry, it will look fine." Again, I give them a chance. I ended up having to be there the entire day while they came and went. I had to re-caulk the outside gaps before I finished quickly painting it that night. Inside there were slop and cracks showing. It was awful. I called the manager the next day. I offered photos several times - but he didn't want to see them. He offered to have them come back out. But I knew there was no way they'd be capable of fixing what had been done and I figured they'd make it worse. So I declined. Then he said he would "get back to me" with a final offer of satisfaction. OCTOBER comes, I get a voicemail saying payment's overdue! Again no comms - except for $$$. I assumed they wrote off their mistakes. Called them back and they offered $200 (12% off). No way I'd let them "fix" the mess and make it worse. I asked if that was their final offer and that was that. I should have paid another company more (or done myself). "Deals" not always a deal. I had more details but the review won't let me put more in. Obviously my experience isn't what many others had with them. Not sure why. Good luck and I hope yours goes better. read more

I was looking for glass for three cabinets in my new kitchen. When I contacted Pacific Northwest Glass and Mirror they didn't just sent me to the sample area. They took the time to ask a few clarifying questions in order to make sure I would get what I was looking for. I wanted a glass that would distort what was in the cabinet just a little but that also had a "wow" factor to it. I chose "seedy reamy" glass and I absolutely love it! Absolutely outstanding company. Every person I worked with was professional, personable and accurate from start to finish. The team was timely: at every visit they were within minutes of when they said to expect them and checked in if they were going to be early or after the planned time. Not only was I quoted a reasonable price, but they called to advise me when prices were about to increase as I was deciding, which amounted to a significant savings for me but would not have affected them. My project involved replacing glass in a custom bay window in my kitchen, about 25- 30' from ground level. My home is on a slope which required scaffolding which was by far the biggest expense of the project. I was able to find a much cheaper scaffolding price than the one on my bid from the company they usually work with. They were open to having me contract that separately which was also a significant savings. PNG&M were excellent in communicating with the new company (shout out to Scaffold Erectors - Steve Spencer) to get the staging levels needed for the window replacement. Just as this already challenging project was finished, the team recognized what were fine scratches, most likely manufacturer origen, in the tempered glass sloped roof pieces. When hours of manual buffing didn't resolve the problem, they re-ordered and replaced those pieces, which was no small task. They also did this knowing I only had a few days left on the scaffold rental and went over and above to make sure it was done the day before the scaffold had to come down. I can't say how much I appreciate the timeliness, fair pricing, honest communication and ethics of this company. They are great people - Dan, Marleen, Blake, Mike, Adam, Megan and Julie And all the team. I highly recommend this top notch company for your next project. Quality is fine, but the service was very frustrating. We had a small job, and just needed to replace some of the glass in one of our windows. Two guys came out for the estimate. They showed up on time, were very pleasant and gave me a good price, so we selected this company for our glass replacement. They came out a week or so later but did not show up during the arrival window I had been given. When I called after my arrival window had ended I was told that they were running 20 minutes late and would be there soon. The representative then hung up the phone before I could respond, which seemed unnecessarily rude. They did show up, but it was closer to 45 minutes later, not 20 as she had stated. The installer removed my existing glass, however when he went to install the new one, he realized that they had ordered the wrong size glass. He then had to reinstall the old broken glass. They reordered the glass and scheduled an installation of the following Thursday between 2pm and 3pm. I was called at 2:35 and told he was running late and would be there between 3:30 and 4. The guy didn't end up arriving until 4:30. I understand traffic happens and people run late but this whole process was ridiculous. I would never use this company again. read more

Called the office to schedule an appointment and the gal gave me a rough estimate over the phone that sounded reasonable. A couple days later 2 men came out to get exact measurements for a small space in my home to put up mirrors. Later that day I received another estimate that was $1100.00 more totaling 1600. I called The office to ask what the drastic increase was for, and the office gal had no explanation. I live in a nice area with gated homes and my only explanation is the price went up when they drove through the gate. So sad, I was hoping to use a local company that was honest. Excellent group of people to work with. We visited the showroom and customized our shower door for our master remodel. We received the estimates within a couple of days. We made a couple of adjustments based on cost and the weight of the glass for the door to finalize our choices. Everything went smoothly for the door and installation.
