These guys are the last people you should trust with your home and belongings. The air scrubber they brought left a horrible smell on all my belongings. It was evident they didn't cahbeb a filter from a previous job.They overcharged, were deceptive, and did not take the steps I was told they would to constakn the issue. All of bollokging are essentialy ruined and the original problem is still there. There is a reason they have bad reviews compared to other companies. At all cost avoid these guys. read more

AVOID AT ALL COSTS Extremely disappointed with PNW Restoration and would strongly urge others to avoid them. Our property management company hired them for water mitigation after a flood in our rental home. Not only did they fail to shut off the main water line before starting (neighbors witnessed and assisted in finding the shutoff by the street), but they also broke a CPVC pipe during their work, which further worsened the damage. While they admitted responsibility for the pipe break in writing and claimed they paid for the damage, none of those costs were itemized in the invoice. The invoice we received was significantly higher than average according to another restoration company we consulted. When we questioned the inflated cost, the project manager Bryan couldn't provide a clear explanation and instead redirected us to the owner, Rocky. Rocky was unprofessional, unhelpful, and ultimately ghosted us by ignoring our calls and emails for two weeks. With no resolution and the threat of the bill going to collections, we felt forced to pay the full amount, despite serious concerns over transparency and pricing. We've attached screenshots of the invoice, email exchanges, and the report where they admit fault, so people can judge for themselves. PNW Restoration responded quickly when my apartment was flooded while I was out of town. While the service isn't cheap, they did quality work. I feel confident that the work they did left my condo in proper shape for restoration. Josiah and James were great to work with and responded to texts quickly. I would highly recommend using any other restoration company than PNW Restoration. They did absolutely horrific work in my home and left an unfinished project. They are not licensed contractors in the state of Washington, yet represented themselves as licensed. They charged me for things that were not done or provided. Their pricing is far above average and they seemed to have double dipped on profit and overhead in several areas. I now have to find someone to fix all of the damage done during the course of the rebuilding part of my project. They completely took advantage of me during one of the worst experiences of my life. I really can't UN-recommend PNW Restoration enough. Eric and Scott seem nice enough on first contact, and were available to work within a reasonable timeline and for what appeared to be reasonable rates - but that's about all the good things I can say. PNW appears to actually be an umbrella organization - these guys just subcontract the actual work to the lowest bidder. Our experience suggests that there is little-skill vetting, management, or accountability for the subcontractors. We went through several teams - generally friendly enough but none of whom impressed as far as quality of work. I don't know how many times Scott told me, "Well, it's not actually my guys doing the work. [Insert name] who leads the team is actually the one who is responsible for causing [insert problem here]." Reassuring? Not very. Here are some highlights of our experience with PNW: * Individuals on two separate crews, two separate weeks, broke off two separate kitchen sink water supply valves under our cabinet. Each time flooded our kitchen and basement while everyone ran around wondering where the water shutoff might be. The second time ruined the brand-new insulation they had just replaced from the first flood. * They didn't even notify us when the first flood happened - my wife saw guys carrying big bags of insulation from the basement, so she investigated and found the drying and dehumidification equipment set up - then we figured it out. The second time we found out a lot quicker when my wife heard the worker yelling for help. Good times. * They made a major mess - between the flooding (x2) and pulling out the wet insulation (x2) - but other than setting up equipment to dry things out, they took almost no responsibility for the actual clean-up - and still haven't proven willing to pay for the modest cleanup effort or related damages. * Their actual work was sub-par. They had planned to move out the kitchen cabinet and later put it back, but the put-back cabinet was shoddy - functionally and aesthetically far from the original condition. Then after a couple floods, it was a total loss. By the end I had to work out a system where I'd go over before they started each morning and inspect the work they'd done thee day before, and put together a list of quality issues to text to Scott. Generally the list got longer day to day - not a good sign. Then they caused the second flood and we gave up on them. If you care about your home and you want a quality job done, I would not work with this company. PNW's business model seems flawed, and they just don't seem able to do quality work. If you do work with them, have your home insurance on speed-dial, because there is a good chance you'll need it. At least I can share some of my angst with you, and I'll feel better having saved even one reader from a similar experience with PNW Restoration. I was a worker here, my boss Eric is a mess he would get off the phone with a customer and say things like ( that guy was a crazy). I would be sitting in the offfice to talk to him he would be in the phone and roll his eyes if the Customer had any questions about the bill. overall this place sucks. the worst is They fired me while I was on emergency FMLA because I had my twin boys. read more

Be Aware!! They charge hidden fees that you do not request and authorize. We called PNW restoration to get an estimate of our water damage in the bathroom. They showed up fairly quick and assessed the damage then took our drywall sample which I did not request. They said the sample is for Asbestos test. They sent me an estimate in 2 days. The estimate has all details including Asbestos test fee. We ended up deciding not to work with this company. But they sent me the Asbestos test result with invoice charging me Asbestos sample collection fee($75), test fee($400) and Inspection charge $150). We were puzzled at this point since we did not authorize Asbestos test and also they did not mention to charge $150 for the inspection to get an estimate. So we called them for the clarification and they kept insisting I requested the test which I did not. They did not much bother to argue with me and said if I do not pay they will report to a Collection company. And I've got a call from the Collection company that I need to pay invoice amount plus collection fee. This is a speechless. I don't have any word to explain how these guys do their business like this. This is absolutely unacceptable!! read more

company was very hard to work with and did not keep me informed of what was going on. Said they would work with my insurance company but kept asking me for payment. Made me sign an agreement so they could start work then never gave me a copy of the agreement. it was a nightmare. Still have two holes in my ceiling. My wife and I needed someone to come ASAP to inspect the mold and moisture in our apartment. Travis and Richard were able to come out the next morning. Richard is super knowledgeable and made things easy to understand. And Travis was personable and was really helpful. I had great communication with my main contact in the office. However, issues arose from the initial quote which was completed by a hired contractor (Scott). In comparison to the other contractor estimators I received, he was here for half the amount of time which may explain the lack of detail and necessary components in the quote. The job was to repair walls and drywall. While PNW Restoration was more expensive than another contractor I interviewed, I had great rapport and communication with Rocky in the office and thought the project would go smoothly. The quote did not mention installing higher baseboards to cover up the damaged walls (rather than repairing the walls). When I inquired about this, I received an email from PNW Restoration stating the job is too complicated and they no longer want to do it. read more

Accepted their bid to paint some inside walls and spray kitchen cabinets. We supplied high quality cabinet paint and specifically formulated primer for the paint. We removed cabinet doors, removed hardware, degreased all the woodwork and sanded all surfaces to prep for painting. The job was to take two days. It stretched out to four days, then 7 days. First primer and wall painting was sloppily done by first painter. Eventually, after complaining, it was corrected twice. The kitchen cabinetry was primed and first paint coat applied. Drawers left outside and got rained on. Rather than sand and re-paint, they just did another coat on top of the bad coat, then asked for more cabinet paint, because "it wasn't working right". It took 6 gallons of $60/GALLON paint to do the kitchen cabinetry, and it still showed raindrops, paint dribbles, and missed spots. Since this was for a rental unit and a tenant was waiting to move in, we said hell with it and told them to quit. Poor communication, poor estimation, lousy technique, and way more expensive for the quality of work. I suggest you find someone else. read more

We called PNW Restoration to address a water leak and mold problem. As part of their restoration work, they recommended that we have them refinish our hardwood floors since a small portion of our kitchen floor near the sink had water damage. They sanded the floors, but did not sand deep enough to remove all of the old finish. The new finish that they put on did not match the color of the old finish, there were areas where dirt was embedded in the new finish, and there were footprints visible in the finish where somebody had walked across the floors while the finish was drying. PNW claimed that they did not walk across the floors, but we were staying in a hotel during the finish work, so I believe they must be the source of the footprints. PNW agreed to redo the finish work, and they re-sanded the floors on June 17, telling us that they would return on July 6 to complete the work. However, they did not return on July 6, and after repeated attempts by phone and email to find out when they would be completing the work, we informed PNW Restoration that we would be hiring somebody else to refinish our floors. (PNW did discount the bill for the work they did on the floors by 50%.) I also disputed a portion of their bill for moving and reinstalling our refrigerator as well as putting up plastic dust barriers while they did the sanding. The refrigerator was never moved, and as far as I saw, no plastic barriers were ever put up. They charged us over $1,400 for that work. I feel that they charged us for work they never performed, but they felt they were entitled to the money because our insurance company had approved their estimate which included that expense. read more
