Excellent food, excellent service and a great experience all around. This place is a hidden gem in Jersey City and I'm surprised they haven't received more recognition for the food that they've been making. Definitely stop by and give it a try.

    Jambalaya - delicious!

Came here with 4 friends on a Wednesday night and we were the only ones there so the service was fast. Plenty of tables inside for seating. What we loved: jambalaya, creamy grits, shrimp and oyster nuggets (large and plentiful), beignets What was okay: rice and beans, debris fries (was topped with gravy and what looked like mozzarella cheese which made the fries soggy), Cajun fries (weren't that seasoned and were dry), shrimp/catfish/oyster po boys (were essentially like the nuggets with lettuce, tomato and bread; would have been better with more sauce or something that made the sandwich more special). What to skip: muffuletta po boy (was especially bummed out by this especially since it originated in New Orleans. Usually the meats are stacked more than double the height of the bread with a briny relish and what came out instead was a very sad looking wanna be Italian sub with barely any relish). I would come back and try their other meat po boys or shrimp and grits and more nuggets, though!

A very cute restaurant in an area of Jersey City that needs more restaurants. I had the shrimp and grits. It was just ok. The shrimp needed more seasoning...the grits had a tangy cheese taste. The red gravy saved the dish. I would rate it a 5 out of 10. I really wanted to like this place. I will probably stop by again for coffee and beignets and do another review.

Ive come back to poboy riche twice since my last review. The wings are an absolute must have. They were a special, but I hope they last! I thought I loved the shrimp poboy, but the catfish poboy is much better. I love the seasoning and the way they were cooked. It paired perfectly with the bread and dressing. I had the honor of hosting a mardi gras party here, and it was perfect. Israel is a pleasure to work with and the staff nailed in with the food. Everything was executed in a timely manner and organized. We had a great time and it was a smooth night. Looking forward to hosting a brunch here soon!

A taste of New Orleans in Jersey City? Sign me up! As part of my birthday activities for the month, I really wanted to try Poboy Riche and they lived up to every expectation! I ordered the shrimp po boy which came with a free order of fries since they have a January promotion going on at the moment. The shrimp were light and crispy and the fries were seasoned so well. I also ordered the beignets which comes with a house made whipped cream. These were sooooo good you have to get the whipped cream. Then the owner had us try a French toast since we did visit during brunch and it was full of flavor. I definitely have to come back for this again. Shoot, I have to come back for everything I ate! Parking in the area could be a bit tough, make sure you are reading the street signs and do not park in the bus lanes. Overall, this was a great experience. Amazing customer service and we got to meet the owner, which was cool. The ambience is very chill and they have fun art photos on the wall of celebrities you may recognize. See you soon Po Boy Riche!!

Unreal & amazing experience!! The owner Israel was one of the kindest people ever and the food was just as fantastic!! Honestly blown away with how good everything tasted. Got the jambalaya, gumbo, beans & rice, poboy (1/2 catfish 1/2 oysters), Cajun fries and tried the beignets. Honestly can't go wrong with anything at this spot. Talk about quality environment with amazing food!!! I already can't wait to come back & try more food! This is a must try establishment in Jersey city!

Nice hospitality here. Ordered the half shrimp and half oysters. Beignets are good. I mean I suppose there aren't much in the area to begin with so I'll take it. The po boy is delicious but more bread than anything Wouldn't get the coffee again. To me it tasted waterdown. I'd come back for the beignets and po boy. So so good. The decor is cute too. Very clean in here.

03.07.26 This place has 'jaw-dropping' curb appeal!!! I love the floor to ceiling windows with a frosted glass design. Ishmael gave me a great tour of the menu. He focused exclusively on the items that I was considering for purchase. I decided on the combo Po' boy with shrimp and oysters. I also ordered the Fleur de Lis breakfast and 2 beignets (to go). The Po' boy was pretty good. If your in to subtle flavors, it's a good choice. Ishmael informed me that the bread is flown in daily from New Orleans. I'm not an avid bread eater, but the bread was definitely a 5. I will definitely return, I heard the catfish po' boy has that 'kick' that Im looking for.

I love this new New Orleans style restaurant with New Orleans style cuisine!!! They have all your favorite NOLA dishes! I love that they are BYOB too! It's fast causal with a great vibe

If you haven't tried the new brunch menu at Po Boy Riche we don't know what you're waiting for! Bold, soulful, and full of flavor - the beignet breakfast sandwich hits that sweet and savory spot, the shrimp & grits are a must, the Creole salad is not to be missed! I was just looking for a good meal and I found the perfect vibe! Po Boy Riche was so delicious, great portion! Thank you to Israel and the whole team at the spot: We had the Oyster PoBoy (fresh and delicious) and the shrimp and grits. Had to add a side of dirty rice in the mix also and it was a great time.

I was very excited to hear a new po'boy restaurant had opened in Jersey City! Not even 24 hours later my family and I were there to try the menu: shrimp po'boy, roster beef po'boy, catfish po'boy, and mushroom po'boy. We also added Cajun fries, beignets, and bread pudding with vanilla ice cream added. I think the shrimp po'boy was the favorite, but everyone liked their sandwich. The fries were a bit of a let down, next time I think I'll try the grits. For desert I tried both options and think you can't go wrong with either. The restaurant is set up as a fast casual restaurant, where you order at the register and they bring the food out to your table. Although this a more causal style of restaurant, Po Boy Riche had great customer service. They held our dessert until we were done with our sandwiches (much appreciated) and were very attentive for our whole visit. Overall a great addition to jersey city!

It was our first time here and we had such a great experience. The service was super friendly, the food was great, and the vibes were on point. Everything tasted fresh. The star of the show was definitely the mac and cheese and the beignets with fresh Chantilly whipped cream -- absolutely amazing. We'll definitely be back!

Amazing food, vibe and service!…read more Since I knew we would be in the city Sunday and would probably want to brunch before the concert that night, I looked up a bunch of places and this one kept catching my eye. We almost wouldn't have been able to go because I waited until that day to make reservations and it seemed like they were all booked up. But luckily, my boyfriend had a great idea to call to see if anything was available. Although I was only communicating with an automated system/ai rep, it was able to find reservations for 1:45. We took it and it was worth the wait! This is a very cute spot in Tribeca. As soon as we arrived, we were greeted, checked in for our reservation and seated immediately. Walking up, there is a little outdoor covered seating section that is set on the street next to the sidewalk. Inside, there was a jazz trio performing to the right when you first walk in. As we headed and got to our seats, we saw that behind the bar/counter seating they had the flattop cooking station so you could see the chefs preparing all the food; the bar was also in that area. We knew beforehand about the unlimited drinks option so we of course went with that - $36/person and had like 4 different brunch drink options you can rotate through over the 90 minutes. Our server came over pretty quickly to introduce herself and get our initial order. I was hoping to try out the Biscuits & Cajun Crab Gravy but they ran out of biscuits, so I ended up ordering the Chicken & Beignets instead. Boyfriend went with the Shrimp and Tasso Country Grits. Omg... Everything was delicious! Chicken had the perfect crisp and cook, beignets baked just right so they were soft and well complimented with the blueberry compote. And I had a bit of the grits - so creamy, perfect texture with a unique yet satisfying flavor with the sauce. Could kind of taste the coffee but also felt like there was something like a hint of curry or something in that red sauce - it was very good! Highly recommend checking this place out (make reservations for the weekend!). Because there are more things on this menu we would want to try, we said we have to try to come back very soon

Unfortunately, the service we received from our server was the complete opposite, which made the experience extremely disappointing. From the start, our server seemed uninterested in serving our table and appeared bothered whenever we needed something. When our appetizers arrived, we weren't given share plates. When our entrees came out, she walked right past our table without checking on us. I understand servers can get busy, and she only had a couple of other tables at the time, but she never performed even a basic two-bite check-back. We repeatedly had to ask other servers and even kitchen staff for items we needed because our server simply could not be bothered. As someone who works in the restaurant industry, this stood out even more. Throughout the meal, she never asked if we'd like another round of drinks. Instead, she simply removed our cups without offering refills or additional beverages. The most frustrating part came when it was time to pay. We asked to split the bill, but she handed me the POS device with the full amount. When I politely pointed out that the bill had not been split correctly, she responded with an attitude and insisted it was right when it clearly wasn't. I had to ask her to redo it, and the interaction felt unnecessarily confrontational. I understand the restaurant closes at 10 PM, but we were seated around 8:30 PM, which should have been plenty of time to receive attentive service. It's unfortunate because our experience started on such a positive note thanks to the hostess staff. I expected that same level of hospitality throughout the evening, but instead left feeling disappointed and unwelcome.

The first thing I noticed was how clean the restaurant was. It's a smaller space, but everything was spotless. Our hostess was incredibly friendly and seemed to be doing it all seating guests, making cocktails, checking in on tables, and even folding napkins and prepping utensils for the next customers. She never missed a beat. Since it was Restaurant Week, they were offering a $60 seafood boil special that included an appetizer, a boil, and dessert. My date and I decided to share everything, so we ordered the Cajun spaghetti and the Restaurant Week boil, adding a whole lobster for an extra $20. We also ordered drinks. I had the Raspberry Martini, and he had the Clawlatta, their take on a piña colada. Both cocktails were beautifully presented and perfectly balanced. Even though there were only two of us, our waiter pulled another table over so we had plenty of room to spread out and enjoy the full seafood boil experience. It was a thoughtful touch that we appreciated. The Cajun spaghetti came out first, and it was delicious. It had a rich, flavorful sauce with a nice kick of spice that lingered at the end without being overwhelming. Then... came the BOIL!! I ordered the garlic butter seasoning with mild spice. The bag arrived piping hot, filled with plenty of shrimp, the whole lobster, potatoes, and lots of flavorful buttery broth. Everything was fresh, hot, and seasoned perfectly. It was messy in the best way and absolutely delicious. When we first arrived, there was only one other occupied table. By the time we left, the restaurant had filled up with several larger groups, yet the service and attention to us, was consistent. Every dish came out hot and savory, the hostess and waiter remained attentive throughout our meal, our water glasses were never empty, and the overall hospitality was excellent.
