I think this is the only seafood restaurant I've ever been to that has a bidet, which definitely gets bonus points. That said, I didn't come here for the bathroom. I came here to throw down on some seafood and that's exactly what we did. I found out about this place because one of my favorite TikTok foodies posted that she came here when she was visiting from Chicago. It was also my friend's birthday so we figured we'd check it out. If you come with a group of 4 or more, including the birthday person, they eat for free, which is a pretty nice perk. This place lived up to every bit of the hype. We did the $125 option which includes lobster. If you have people in your group who are on the fence about spending the extra money, just remind them it's only about $35 more and that's basically the cost of one lobster anywhere else. Here you're getting unlimited lobster. The food literally just kept coming. At one point we were running out of room on the table. One thing I really appreciated was that the staff noticed and started putting multiple items on the same plates instead of bringing everything out separately. It sounds small but it actually helped a lot and showed they were paying attention. The drinks weren't super strong but they definitely weren't weak either. I had a great experience here. There are so many food options to choose from, including lobster, shrimp, all kinds of crab legs, and even blue crabs. It's honestly a seafood lover's dream. I highly recommend coming with a large group so you can try a bit of everything. They also offer an option to pay an extra $45 to take your leftovers home, which is absolutely worth it. I ended up with so much food that my fridge is still full. The service was impeccable from start to finish. The staff was attentive, friendly, and made the whole experience even better. If I had to choose a death row meal, this would be my new selection!! WOW - the offerings on the menu were so plentiful and a meal that would usually cost probably a thousand dollars was only $125 per person. The lobster is a little chewy, but the spicy claws were very flavorful. All of the crab had so much meat and the seasonings were all amazing. Surprisingly, the iron steak was one of our favorites despite this being a seafood spot. The waiter did say to just check mark the paper instead of quantities, but they end up bringing you 2 of everything you order. The sweet & spicy fish is also very solid, garlic noodles were buttery, and even their iced tea was super refreshing. Could not recommend this place more!! My boyfriend and I went here for our date night and we were so happy with the quality of both the food and waiters. We got the lobster add-on for $20 extra per person and it was so worth it. I don't know where to begin with this place. Visiting NY and we were craving seafood and landed upon this place. They have 2 AYCE options, one including unlimited lobster. The unlimited lobster option was $125, and I personally thought that the price was a steal. There was no wait when we got there around 5:30pm, but when we were leaving, there was a wait. So you order your first round and they will bring out enough for the number of people in your party. Example, 3 people in your party, they will bring 3 portions. If you're anything like me, and want to try a little bit of everything, I would HIGHLY suggest that you ask them to bring less than your party size. The portions are generous for most dishes, but regardless, it is unlimited so you can just order more if the first round wasn't enough. I wish I knew this prior being that we struggled to finish some dishes and wanted more of another. The lobsters were medium/smallish in size, but still a good portion. In general, I enjoyed all the dishes. The service was great too. Our server was very nice and once the food starts coming, they don't slow down. Appreciate how accommodating they were on changing the reservation time. You do have to have all people in your party in order to be seated. The music will have you jamming in your seat. The menu was such a fun concept -- you simply check off everything you'd like to try, and with their all-you-can-eat option, we went all in! They offered an incredible variety including crab, lobster, steak, salmon, fried rice, crab rangoons, shrimp prepared multiple ways, lo mein, and so much more. We decided to sample as much as possible, and it was worth it. The food started arriving quickly, fresh, hot, and in generous portions. Everything we tried was flavorful and delicious. My in-laws are in town and we wanted some seafood. I wasn't sure about this place but the Yelp reviews, including some from my Yelp friends whose opinions I trust, were all pretty good so I took a shot and have to say, everyone really liked it! We had a party of six so we were able to make a reservation (reservations are available for parties of four or more) and we probably had to wait about 15 minutes past our reservation time to be seated. I will say the arrival experience is a little bleak...there was no one at the front podium when we arrived and aside from us, there were probably another 8-10 people waiting in the small lobby. However, once we got seated, everything went fairly smoothly. We sat at a big table that had a "chum bucket" at one end for all your shrimp tails and lobster shells, and we got bibs. The waiter was nice and took our drink orders and gave us the menu where we checked off what we wanted. He explained that it's served family style so whatever you check off, they bring enough for the table and there's a two hour limit. We went for the upgraded lobster menu, which just means you can order lobster in addition to everything else. We made several choices and the food started coming out right away. We had shrimp a variety of ways, scallops, crab legs, blue crab and of course, lobster tail. Everyone agreed that the spicy shrimp, which was in a sweet and spicy sauce, was the best. I could have eaten an entire basket of that myself. The lobster was pretty good, scallops and crab legs were also nice. I didn't really care for the blue crab. They were on the small side and not a lot of meat in them (for reference, I grew up in Maryland so have 40+ years experience eating and picking blue crab and this just wasn't up to Chesapeake Bay standards). Everyone ate their fill and agreed things were good. Most of us had sodas but a couple of people ordered a wine. I would have had a beer but the beer selection is very limited and I'm not interested in Corona or Heineken. We got seated around 6:45 and were out the door by 8:05 so it was a pretty efficient meal but like I said, we were fully satisfied. For six adults @$125 for the food, plus drink and taxes, the bill was just over $850. Add the tip on top of that and it pushes it over $1000. Definitely not cheap but for the amount and quality of food you got, I thought it was a decent value. Came to the Crab House for a birthday. Made a reservation in advance early. Definitely recommend to book one in case because it did have people waiting by the time my party was leaving. It is a big space though. I believe a new sister location has opened up near Times Square as well. We were seated and serviced immediately. Drinks are a la carte and not included. You can choose between a lobster set or just everything else on the menu besides the lobster. The whole table has to choose the same set. We chose the lobster to try. If it is your first time dining, waiter basically explains everything upfront. Some of my stand out favorites were the raw clams, old bay shrimp and seared scallops. Crabs were on the smaller size and lots of work, so I didnt spend a lot of time on them. The raw clams come on ice and we're fresh. I liked them so much is ended up ordering 3 dozen. An amazing and luxurious birthday meal was had at crab house! My husband wanted lobster for his birthday dinner, so lobster we had! Opted for the premium menu so we could order as many lobster tails and claws as our hearts desired. Service was on the casual side. The place is huge! Felt like a long walk to the table but I could see how so many of the tables were filled up--clearly many people enjoy crab house as much as we did. The food was great! It was a dear friend's birthday this past Tuesday and her husband planned a surprise party here. I was a bit distracted from coloring an adult coloring book I recently bought for my anxiety and was a bit late. However, that is not the point... For someone that is a drinker, this is one of very few times where the drink is not the star. The crabs are! The minute the bib went around my neck, the gabber of the group (me) was quiet and busy getting her hands covered with old bay seasoning and cracking open them snow and dungeoness crabs. My friends were silly and got fried chicken and shrimp, but this gal was raised properly and stuck to the crabs. The deets: two hours all you can eat for $90. It is extra if you choose the lobster route BUT everyone has to do the lobster all you can eat if one person chooses. Everyone MUST be present to be seated and if it is your birthday, as long as you have four ppl in your party, every Tues the birthday person eats free. The Crab House draws quite the crowd. They've been open for years and this was my first time trying it. Heard about the buffet options through a fellow foodie and Yelper Mel. She's been telling me to go for ages so we finally did. Two buffet options on the adult pricing (kids are a different pricing but I didn't ask). For the AYCE seafood buffet which doesn't include lobster, the base is $80/pp. For the full seafood buffet and AYCE lobster (a variety of ways), it's $118/pp. We went full on with the lobster buffet. It was a lot of food! And it was all delicious. Some minor things that irked me, we were a table of four adults but they kept bringing dishes out in portions of three. So for example, a lobster was cut down the middle, but they brought only three halves at a time. Always leaving one person out (until the next order appeared). Same with the crab legs, a portion of three. I know it's AYCE and we'll get more, but to be served at the same time would have been ideal. Moving on, the food! Seafood was very fresh and all the varieties offered were tasty. There are non-seafood dishes too like pasta, fried rice, steak, corn, edamame, seaweed salad, and Mac and Cheese (with lobster or without, I believe it was a choice depending on the buffet you choose). The grilled salmon, broiled scallops, chili oil crab and raw bar (clams and oysters) were all memorable dishes. We ordered multiple rounds of those entrees. The restaurant provides gloves, warm butter, cocktail sauce, lemon, ketchup and horseradish. Just ask for the condiments you need and they'll bring it to you. There's a full bar and cocktail menu besides soft drinks if you want alcohol or something fruity to drink. Dessert is available as well. Fun fact, if you go on your birthday, you get a free standard $80 buffet dinner, just show your ID. Must be the actual day. Totally loved the garlic bread (complimentary) but don't eat too much, you'll fill up unnecessarily. They gave us a free shrimp too but because of my allergy, we asked them to take it away. My stomach is a bottomless pit when it comes to eating raw oysters. The snow crab legs with Old Bay were good and the dungenous crab and the spicy shrimp were good. While there were plenty of menu options, everything was brought out at once, which caused several dishes to arrive lukewarm--especially problematic for large parties sharing multiple items. Many of the dishes tasted store-bought, such as the crab rangoon, spring rolls, and crawfish. The sauces lacked depth, and several seafood items (notably the shrimp and crab) were either overcooked or undercooked. Surprisingly, the best item I had was the mac and cheese--which is odd for a seafood-focused restaurant. I didn't order any cocktails, just water, and still ended up paying $170 for one person, which I found expensive even by New York standards. Unless improvements are made to the food preparation, temperature control, and the quality of ingredients (particularly avoiding what seem to be wholesale frozen appetizers), I wouldn't recommend dining here. read more

This was so good, I'm thinking of flying back, just for dinner here with theatre. A friend first suggested dinner here. I didn't know anythung about it. But with all the good food in NYC, for this t be her #1 choice, said something. Thus, I made it a priority--and so glad I did. As a walk-in, I had to wait a bit. The silence at the hostess desk, and the non-communique around the possible time of waiting was frustrating. Once we made it down theose couple of flights of stairs however, my tummy got happy. I had to wait again when we got downstairs, but then I was able to see and hear others enjoying a good time. I was soon seated and my journey of deliciousness began. I had two hours to enjoy the vibe and the food, at $90; it's extra for the lobster option. I ordered all the crab dishes. They were all delicious, especially the Dungeness! The service was super and attentive. Definitely a 10/10 experience. read more
