Walking our tired bones up to the door, we were greeted by a sign explaining that the restaurant had experienced a good fire and was closed until the issue could be rectified. Well we slid over to the winery in hopes of there being some substance to consume. It was nice to experience the wines that were offered but we really need to get some food. Back on the road to resolve the hunger.

My children treated me to a winery tour for my 75th birthday on Saturday, June 18th. We used this…read moreservice. It was as good as it could get! Fred was our host and driver. He came on time to pick up us. We weren't quite ready, but he waited patiently. There were 7 of us. We rode in the immaculate white Explorer. We were a little cozy, but it was fine. Fred was very accommodating, flexible, friendly, helpful and kind. One of my grandsons is handicapped and he was very helpful with him. Let him ride in the front with him and helped with his walker. We were allowed to bring snacks and water which we indulged in between stops. He dropped us off at the door and we did not see him again until it was time to move on to the next stop. One of the wineries was closed for a wedding so he substituted another winery on the opposite side of the tour we were doing, but were interested in because the winery has a store in our town that we go to often. We had a great time! If you are in doubt, go for it. We met his wife, Heidi, at one of the stops and I am sure she would be just as good.

The wine slushies were my favorite! We enjoyed their flatbread-style pizza, which was a perfect size for two. Plus, you can bring your own snacks so thats a huge bonus; we brought a charcuterie board to share.​ It's also pet-friendly, which is a huge bonus! They prefer pets to stay outside, but if you're traveling solo or just popping in to grab a drink, you're welcome to bring your furry friend inside to order and not have to leave them alone! There was live music during our visit, adding to the lovely atmosphere. I only wish it were closer to Memphis so I could visit more often, but I'll definitely be back!

We tried several wines and ended up choosing two bottles that we loved. The Governor's Red and a Merlot. The winery has some great things to choose from outside of wine. I snagged some cheeses, wine salt, and trinkets. The vineyard is beautiful and very picturesque. Lots of picnic benches to sit on and eat or sip your wine. Will definitely be back with our picnic table cover and to catch the live music. Highly recommend for a date or a day trip. If you come on a day where the food trucks or aren't available, pack a charcuterie box or picnic bag, a little Bluetooth speaker and grab a bottle of wine to enjoy outside. The vineyard has a romantic atmosphere that we really enjoyed.

It is in a rural area with both old and modern seating areas. They have live music on weekends, but it was cancelled, due to the nonstop rain. We Like dry wines, and we chose their rose.
