Bees everywhere! The last review was in 2018 and if this park was truly was a 5 star a lot has changed. Not recommended for 5th Wheels or Motorhomes. Stay at the Fairgrounds instead! Most sites are water and electric only and super close to your neighbor. The sites are tiered and the water and electric were up on a hill while the sewer was near our camp. Mostly long term renters. Nice front office staff but this park is not up to par as we stayed last night at a different KOA and it was a 5 star in Perry, Utah. Delayed maintenance in the sites. We moved to a 50 amp site to have sewer as the dump station looks really small. Hard to navigate roads and we won't be staying again. Sorry KOA, you have let this on go down hill read more

The campground itself is very clean and well-kept. The RV park was quiet, the dog park was tidy, and the restrooms and showers were spotless with plenty of hot water, all things I really appreciated. Unfortunately, my experience making the reservation wasn't great. The customer service over the phone was rude and made the process frustrating, which left a bad first impression. Once we arrived, though, the facilities were excellent and the stay was comfortable. read more

We arrived around 5 pm and Tom was at the counter. I got checked in and took my dog to the pet area. I like a fenced in pet area and this place has it! The park was quiet and we had no issues. As in most KOA's spaces are close together but wasn't a problem. They have a store and on site and propane for the rig which was nice. We got propane in the morning and the lady working wasn't too happy...oh well. read more

We stayed here on 4/25/22. Everything was clean and maintained. I had paid for two nights so we could have some work done on our trailer. When Camping World Pocatello wouldn't honor our appointment, we decided to hit the road. Our second night was refunded at my request. I dealt with the lady mentioned in earlier reviews. She speaks in a loud voice, but she tried to help me find someone else to fix my trailer and refunded the money. No problems here. read more

Overall just OK. Friendly staff. Decent fenced dog run with grass, rather than dirt -yay. Play area appropriate for little tykes. The overall camp is sloped with gravel pull throughs that are somewhat sloped as well. We had to use blocks to get level. Plenty of big shade trees covering most of the sites. The "green" areas adjacent to each campsite don't qualify as grass/lawn - just weeds. Everything was tidy and mowed though. Showers and bathrooms have been repainted and grouted recently. Sort of clean, but could be better. Coin laundry room (didn't use), small store with most necessities one might need while traveling. Also had a fuel pump and propane and dump station (although it was clogged). Giant, loud RV's pulled in all night long it seemed. Plenty of open sites when we were there. A couple "permanent" residents. Prices in the $30-$40/night range. Some with full hookups, some with partial. Didn't see anything suggesting they have cable, but they did have free Wifi. Not particularly speedy though. read more

Very very nice lady at the front desk. I came rolling in at 7pm after a full day of driving and got a camping spot. Yeah. She pointed my dog and I to the must needed pet area right away. Thank you. The camping area was huge with lots a green grass and lots of shade. Yeah, a must needed shower. Free coffee at 9am. It was so quiet and peaceful at 10pm. Thanks again!!! read more

We arrived early about 7 in the evening, tired from a long drive. We had made a reservation for a tent site, and were charged for a full service site. The lady at the desk very rudely changed the site to a tent site and tried to apply a credit to my card. Both times she tried, the credit was denied. I called my bank, and was told that a credit is never denied, and that the lady must have done something incorrectly for that to happen. The lady then gave me a receipt for the 10% discount given to KOA members. When I got home, there was no credit on my card at all, and no money given back to me. The receipt was totally invalid. The tent site we were given was the worst ever. There was a bench over the campfire area to keep people from falling into it, and to use the campfire we had to move the bench. That was fine, because we understood why it had been covered, but, the campfire was surrounded with a very sharp circular piece of metal and was at least 12 inches lower than the surrounding ground. We had to bend below our feet to start and even use the fire. At one point, after getting the fire started, I almost fell into the pit. Not only could I have gotten burned, but could have been easily cut with the rusted metal around the fire. The ground was very uneven everywhere and walking anywhere on the tent site was dangerous for twisting an ankle or falling. I did get a call from the lady at the desk the next morning asking for my credit card so that she could apply a credit. So far, I still haven't seen it. I definitely would not recommend this campground. Very highly priced and horrible service. read more

Park was OK! Ladies bathroom was clean, but DIY handiwork. On our way out after using their dump station "Rose" came out yelling for us to STOP!! We had gone no more then 20 feet and she yelled at us saying our gray water was spilling all over their driveway and that's illegal!!!!!! She was VERY rude and her overreaction was unnecessary. Our cap had come undone. Rose needs to think about how she is speaking to customers and last impressions of an OK Park!! read more

I live about a minute from the koa and usually enjoy the friendly employees there. However I realized I left my wallet in my house and the roads were icy and snowy and was afraid of taking a certain path with my car cause it usually gets stuck there in that kind of weather. I only had to walk to my place which takes about 2 mins nothing much, come back buy what I need and then get my car and take the other longer path to avoid taking the dangerous path. As I start to walk the manager Rose comes outside and starts yelling at me that I have to get my car and leave. I explain to her that I live right down the road and it should only take a few minutes to get my wallet, she tells me to grab my car regardless of the roads and leave. She's absolutely a terrible person, would hate to deal with her if I rented or dealt business with her. I understand there are rules but to start yelling at customers?! GO TO ANOTHER KOA! TO THE OWNER- when your managers first reaction to a customer is to yell at them, that looks absolutely disgusting as a business. Not only are there other online reviews about this manager Rose but I have talked to other residents that live nearby that avoid doing business at this certain KOA just to avoid Rose. Until there is a change in management ill keep this review. Me and others would love to come here again and actually feel comfortable being there. read more

Checked in for a two night stay in September. We were welcome by Tom, checked in and directed to a great pull through sight. The restrooms/showers are very clean and well kept, are the rest of the facilities. Gasoline and propane are available, on site, at the same price as other stations in Pocatello, so no need to drive about shopping for a better rate. We will stay here anytime we are in Pocatello. read more

This KOA is definitely lacking outdoors. The playground was run down/unsafe and in need of much repair. The spots were tight. The restrooms were dated and smelled of stale cigarettes. The office, laundry and game room were decent and offered the necessities. We even treated ourselves to a Huckleberry slushie over soft serve icecream. The staff was friendly and helpful. read more

Pocatello KOA Journey This KOA was the absolute BEST KOA experience ever! In addition to the clean restrooms and laundry rooms, and the fairly level gravel sites with shade trees located where foothills provide an aura of peace (no trains or highway noise), the staff here is incomparable! Our "journey" began when our plans changed and we called looking for a full hookup for that very night and the following two nights. We lucked out; Tom, the assistant manager answered. Although he did not have 3 nights in the full hookup, he offered us one for the first night and a lovely grassy, shaded tent site with water & electricity for the other two. We accepted and, as luck and Tom's willingness to go the extra mile would have it, we never had to move from our original site.When Tom was not available, Rose greeted us warmly at the front desk. She welcomed us graciously and provided us with directions and suggestions to enhance our trip. After three relaxing, enjoyable days we prepared to leave and ran into an issue that stymied us- one we'd never before seen. Tom called John, their maintenance guru, who helped us unravel the issue and got us on our way! Oh, and did I mention the fresh soft serve ice cream in waffle cones!! Very unfortunate that I am even writing this review...love KOAs and I am sure that this one is as well, but the manager I met this evening must have had a house fall on her sister. After a long day on the road, we decide on Pocatello as our destination for the night. I call the Pocatello KOA, and receive a very pleasant recording on the answering machine, stating how they are open "til dusk", and have room and come on in. After thinking that maybe there was a 1-800 number to call I go to the official KOA website and find that I can book a spot online. I make the simple reservation, enter my info and receive my confirmation letter within minutes. About 40 minutes later we pull into The Pocatello KOA "at dusk", only to find the office to have already closed. Well darn I thought, but went to the after hour check in to get our packet. Well nothing was waiting for us. Except the Managers number. I call and got Rose (her version has extra thorns) I let her know that we had made a reservation online & just pulled in, and didn't know where we were suppose to go. She was extremely grumpy, informing me that there are no online reservations after 4pm. And that she will be right over. I was waiting outside the motorhome when she approached, and I had said "I'm sorry, I didn't know you didn't take online reservations after 4..her reply was that "it says it online", which after grave review, it states no where on the KOA website that they stop taking them. She proceeded to unlock the building and walk inside, I'm still standing outside and not sure if I'm suppose to follow her...I crack open the door and ask if she needs me in there and she mumbles something, and I say I'm sorry I didn't hear you, and she snaps "I have to let the computers warm up, I shut everything down 20 minutes ago". She then ignores me when I tell her she can just give me a refund and we can find somewhere else to stay, and when I repeat myself, she says "do you want to stay here or not?" With two kids who have traveled all day, anxiously awaiting getting out of their car seats, I reply, "yeah I want to, but I don't need the ugly attitude, I've had a long day too." So I get my paperwork, am asked "is there anything else I can do for you?" Which feels like a smarty remark, and I walk out. Needless to say, that one experience, with that one rude person, will keep me from ever staying at that park again. And informing anyone I meet to veer away from that park. Trust me, The last thing you want to deal with after a long day on the road is Rose and her wonderful attitude. read more

We broke down on our way to Canada and had to stop here for the evening. A very pleasant surprise! While the sites are close together, it has very clean and quiet grounds. Partial and full hook ups. Bathrooms were very clean and accessible. Has a small dog park too! Can't speak highly enough of Tom and the entire staff who were very friendly and more than willing to accommodate our Rv being worked on past the check out time. He was even willing to let us keep the rv there for a few days if the repairs were going to take longer than a day ( thank goodness it didn't, can't speak highly enough of Shane at Rocky Mountain Rv.) Would definitely stay here again if passing through Pocatello. read more

We went to stay here while on our cross country trip. It was beautiful weather so me and the boy went to put up our hammocks. The boy lost his paracord so he went to the KOA shop to buy some only to be told that hammocks were forbidden. Yes. Hammocks. Forbidden. In a camp ground. First she told him it was because the trees wouldn't hold him. He weighs 80lbs. Absolutely zero mention of this one their website. When we asked the desk lady she said "Well, we've never allowed it. We only post rules for things that were allowed in the past that are no longer allowed." From that flawed logic it would seem that people firing guns off into the night was allowed at one point but no longer is as it is clearly mentioned on the list of prohibited activities. We asked how anyone was supposed to know that ahead of time since it isn't mentioned on their website where they discuss rules and regulations. She said " Well you should have called and asked." So unless you call ahead to ask what seems to be a very stupid question "Are there any prohibited activities that aren't listed on your published list of prohibited activities?" you might be a little confused and disappointed. Rather than owning the fact that the website is misleading the lady tried to make it out to be our problem stemming from our poor planning and lack of telepathy. read more

Site is ok. The lady in the store was a real jerk. Nasty attitude. Bathrooms clean. Close proximity to Yellowstone. Lots of flies.

We stayed at this KOA on July 19, 2015. This sites are good. This is a small KOA compared to some is the others I have yelped. But where they lack in size, they more than make up in service. They have a well stocked store and gas station. The showers are great and the bathrooms are clean. Lots of trees and a dog park as well. I went to fill up on gas and there was no place to put my credit card into the pump. I went inside and the owner of the place turned on the pump without my card and told me to come back in when I was done. I have not had that happen to me since over 20 years ago. I spoke with the owner and he told me that he keeps his gas prices low so the locals can get the same price as in downtown. He is also in the process of putting in new pumps for 24 hour access. His propane prices a super cheap as well. Give this place a try if you need a place to recharge for the next day and definitely say hi to the friendly staff. read more

Very nice, smaller KOA on the edge of town. We spent a week here in a motorhome. Site was fairly level, and there is an on site convenience store and gas pump. We were told by Rose, the manager, that this is one of the oldest KOAs. Older facilities, however, well maintained and clean. We would stay again as the camp is close to town, has a pretty, treed setting, and the management was on site. It's one of the better KOAs we've stayed at. read more

We stayed 2 nights here and had a terrific wonderful time. It had a doggie play area. Even ice cream cones and a gas station was super handy. The new owner seemed super nice and we got our leaving date a little confused but she was very kind and we headed to our next koa in Salt Lake City. Would highly recommend! read more

We are staying here for a quick 1-nighter on our way out of Yellowstone. The staff was very friendly and accommodating. The grounds are well-kept, clean, and shaded. The grass between the sites is dying, but that could easily be attributed to the 100+ degree days here. The sites are flat and the amenities are decent. All in all, I'm happy with the place and would stay here again. read more

DO NOT STAY AT THIS CAMP! The owner of this camp is nasty and incompetent. When we arrived, we attempted to have our propane tank filled. After several attempts, he INSISTED that there was something wrong with the valve on our RV. When I told him not to bother, that we'd deal with it somewhere else, (I had the feeling he was incompetent to do it, and he was.), he got in my face, told me that I didn't know what I was talking about, and told me to shut up. Well, guess what? After an anxious night of worrying that maybe there WAS something wrong with the valve (we are on an open-ended, months-long trip), we left for the Yellowstone KOA, where, with no trouble at all, our tank was filled! In addition, this camp is ugly and lacks personality, and does not have the warm, cozy atmosphere that we get from most other camps. The sites are too close to one another, and the grounds look unkempt. The bathrooms are small and creepy. All in all, we hated this camp. Adrienne read more

Traveling through stayed 1 night...front desk lady very rude. Called ahead to reserve pull though. This is a small park, hardly room for your slideouts. Better be good at maneuvering your rig if you expect to stay here. Site was not even close to level, had a hard time leveling with a 6 point level system and blocks. All sites looked to have a sideways slope on them. Internet was in and out, would not stay here again. Entire park was noisy, lots of early risers (5 am) who had loud motorcycles or diesel trucks. Wal-mart parking lot would of been better! read more
