Drove out from Las Vegas! My wife found this awesome RV campground!! This place is awesome!!!!! They have pull through and back in spaces available. There's plenty of shade at almost all the spots. They have a gift shop/restaurant there. We never checked it out due to me being high risk because of my health. But it looked cool from outside. At that shop you can blow up your rafts too. They must have a compressor outside. The RV sites have FULL HOOKUPS(water, electricity, sewer) . Almost all sites have trees and grass that overlooks the beautiful lake. Your practically on the water. There's also a park to next to the RV sites. The park has a swing set and 3 horseshoe pits. My son really enjoyed that park. The water is kinda chilly but in summer heat it does feel good. They also sell FIREWOOD there too. $5 a bundle. There's also a free shower there and washer and dryer. Bring quarters because they don't have enough to spare for washing. Fishing : they have great fishing there. I didn't get a chance to fish because the way Idaho does there fishing license sucks. It's $18 initial fee and then $5 per day extra. Idaho expects you to say at time of purchase how many days your going to fish for. If you don't say exactly how many days your fishing then you have to pay another $18. I couldn't figure out my fishing schedule because it rained quite a bit when we were there so I would have just wasted my money. BUT I know fishing is good there because I watched people off shore fish and kayak fish and they were catching bass right in front of me with lures. Staff: the campsite host was name Jason. He's a really cool guy with a ZZ Top style beard . He was very professional and helpful. He knew I was high risk health wise and he respected my wishes to social distance every time . As a matter of fact he also helped me go to there gift shop a few times for purchases and got my amazon mail that I had delivered there and he brought everything to my trailer. Jason went out of his way to help us. We truly appreciated him. His son also helps out around the camp. He was super friendly and helpful also. I forget his sons name though. Sorry. Chris who I think is the owner there is also super friendly and helpful too. He was very professional and takes pride in his park . Thanks for everything guys!! You guys definitely made it very relaxing for us to stay there!!! My advice: bring plenty of mosquito spray! You will NEED it! And be careful of walking in the grass bare foot. I think I got hit by a blister beetle there. I got 4 HUGE blisters from either a allergic reaction to mosquitoes or it was a blister bug. We definitely HIGHLY recommend this RV campground and will definitely be back! Thanks again for the wonderful experience!!

Great find on I86 in American falls, Idaho. Very clean, lots of open spaces. Highly recommend.

Used to be a great sit down restaurant. But it has really went downhill. Slow service, increase prices, and the food is just okay.

We have stayed at a lot of KOAs over the country and the noise here is by far the worst. Definitely recommend getting a site as far away from the road if possible and be prepared for the noise because the highway is literally right next to the campground. Otherwise, beautiful campground with very clean facilities. I liked that they had separate individual bathrooms with toilet and shower in one for more privacy.

I've stayed at a fair share of KOAs and because they have a very user friendly website, we tend to…read moreuse them in many states. This won't be the case moving forward. I'm sick of the up charging some KOA owners do and this particular location takes the cake. They charge well over $100 a night for an RV spot then proceed to charge extra for every kid, pet, and extra person over 2 people each night. The host at check in even had a clip board to have the guest initial they agree to these charges and numbers provided. In addition they give you paperwork with fines listed if you leave things in the site at check-out. It wasn't the warm and friendly check-in we felt at other campsites KOA or not. This Holiday level KOA does not offer any special amenities like a swimming pool, kiddo activities, jumping pillow, or decent river access for wading /swimming. I'm not sure what makes this one this high level of a KOA except location. The allure of the is for the hot springs in town. This KOA grounds are large with three levels of wide and spacious sites. They also offer cabins but some cabins are just a small box with beds and no bathroom. Bathrooms are located quite a ways down the road in the main office. Sounds miserable to have no toilet or sink for washing up close by. On the end of the property are nicer cabins with all the amenities located just next to the river float entry. But those nice cabins do not allow pets. Also keep in mind that the campsite is right up against the road and very near a double train track that is very active. It's not that bad and can still be peaceful but not quiet from traffic and trains that sound like they are vibrating off the canyon walls as the train enters the narrow ravine where the campground sits. It was entertaining during the day but that first night it was a terrifying rumbling sound. The up side is it's within walking distance into town where all the fun activities are. There are so many other campgrounds in the area that might be worth checking out as another alternative.
