Out of all the hilton locations I stay at in Idaho, this one always under performs. Check in you actually have to ask for water, the other locations actually acknowledge you by name and status and ask you how many waters you would like. Coffee in the lobby is cold. Coming in on a 30 to 40 degree day outside a warm cup of coffee would've hit the spot. Kleenex tissue box had two tissues in it. Had to send a message to have another box brought up to the the room. Excellent service, especially for those traveling with dogs. The dog area is huge and well maintained with poo bags, trash cans, and benches. They bring carts to assist older dogs on long hallways and elevators--a super nice touch! Lovely showers and clean rooms. Breakfast was standard fare--scrambled eggs, pancakes, sausage, toast & bagels, yogurt, juices, fresh fruit, plus bananas, apples, oranges, hot and cold cereals. We love staying at Hampton Inns. This one leaves nothing out. The whole place is scrupulously clean. We loved the walk in shower with thick glass sliding doors. The bathroom has a rolling door that moves silently and easily on it's track. Their complementary breakfast is high quality food and well prepared. They always have meat and eggs along with waffles, muffins, oatmeal, etc. My wife is super picky about coffee, and theirs was so good she went and complemented the hotel management for it's quality. She is also picky about other foods. She said the oatmeal is unusually good. Personally I liked the buttery cheese omelets. The staff if warm and friendly. Attention to detail is evident all over the hotel. Like many American hotels this one doesn't provide rooms with a urinal for men to pee, and doesn't provide a bidet for personal cleanliness. If you're working at Portneuf Medical Center, this is across the street! Tanner was awesomeeeeeee! What a friendly guy, made my check-in experience wonderful. Pretty "interesting" fancy Italian restaurant across the street connected to (yes inside) a chevron gas station; not sure if it defines Italian, but worth the visit if you're in this small town. Room was clean, modern, and overall a great experience; $98 a night during the week. If you like Starbucks, the only one in this town is located in a grocery store, but you must try the impossible breakfast sandwich and think of me next time. On the trip from Post Falls to Kingman we stayed at a Hampton Inn in Pocatello. We had three rooms. Two were for service dogs and one for non-service dogs. The rooms were assigned per the status of the dog. There were the two service dog rooms. One of those rooms had dirty bedding from previous persons and smelled of dried urine. The sheets and covers were covered in what appeared to be some kind of makeup. The next room had leaves in the bed. The third room was ok. We had the breakfast which was good. They allowed waffles and such there so a good hearty breakfast for travelers. One of the rooms the dog climbed on the bed and left some muddy footprints which they were told about and then they were also given the complaints. After we complained about the dirty rooms the motel then said the room for one of the service dogs had feces on the cover. Not true this was mud from the morning outing. They were advised of this prior to the complaint of the dirty room. Then they claimed the room with the dirty comforter was just from the chemicals used to clean the comforter and the color of the stitching. They totally denied the leaves under the sheets and pillow in the room for the service dog and demanded to know what the purpose of the service dog was. They totally refused to make good on this as per their ads on tv and elsewhere. Make your choice folks but be aware. read more

This hotel is NOT disability friendly. I strongly advise people with accessibility or mobility issues to choose to stay at another location.  I reserved my rooms (3 in total) about 2 weeks before our stay. I reserved one handicap accessible room for my elderly mother, who is in a wheelchair . Our hotel situation in Pocatello was unacceptable. We got to the hotel in Pocatello, Idaho, at around 9 pm.  The hotel said they were full but had kept our three rooms. When I asked which was the accessible room, the lady said none of them were, but their normal rooms were accessible. They weren't. When I asked why, she said I hadn't requested an accessible room. I told her I did. She said I hadn't because there was no record of it in my reservation. I was really surprised by this because I remember reading about the rooms and deciding which would be best for my mom and then reserving that one. We went to look at the rooms, and they were in no way accessible. There was no rail for the toilet and no seat for the shower (like I had picked), and the beds were so high that my mom couldn't get in them. That meant my mom couldn't go to the bathroom alone and couldn't even get in bed by herself. At this point, my mom burst into tears. She said,"I feel like a burden and knew I should not have come. I am making it hard on everyone."  It broke my heart.  I headed back to the front desk and explained it wouldn't work. They said it was my mistake, & even if we had made that request, only 2 of their rooms had rails near the toilet. Only two accessible rooms?!? Then, she said she might have another room option that might work. It was a suite and had a sofa bed that was low enough, and the bathroom had a door positioned so my mom could use that to use the toilet. Crazy unsafe! And then after all that, the lady said she couldn't give it to us. Still convinced I had reserved the right room, I went through my emails. I found my reservation confirmation and found I had reserved the accessible room. I took it to the front desk and showed her. She called the manager and the manager said it didn't matter. I "had only requested the room, not been guaranteed it," and that requesting it wasn't enough, and that I should have written the request in the comment section as well.  She then told me all they could do was to cancel our 3 rooms.  I am sorry but, what?  By this point it was almost 11 at night. Ugh! We stayed in our rooms and did our best to help my mom. I swear a Motel 6 would have been more helpful. I called corporate, and they confirmed that there is NO need to make a comment in the reservations, and that, of course, the request is sufficient. Then corporate informed me the GM said they had spoken to me and we changed our minds in the morning and were happy with our stay. That is a flat out lie. They never once called or spoke to me. We were not happy. The only people I have spoken to were the ones I called.  The hotel is clean and nice with a great breakfast, but I don't want this to happen to anyone else's mom. They shamed her by taking away her dignity of being able to take care of her own basic needs. If you have mobility issues, please do yourself a huge favor and stay somewhere else. read more

Hampton Inns can be hit or miss when traveling. We've found some great ones (why husband picks them) and then we have stayed at some real duds (Henderson NV I'm looking at you!) which makes me shy away! Chances are we are traveling with our Boxer Lucy. We've paid extra everywhere we go with her. It's ok. She's worth it. She's very old. She loves to travel and is a great road dog. Doesn't bark at others, loves kids and will eat anything (but dog food-she gave it up when her brother died in 2021. We always get a bigger room for her. She is our extra person. Plus I like a bathtub. We don't mind ground floors it makes it easy for taking her out. She sleeps all night at home but becomes a dog of the night when traveling. I think she's a little social bumble bee and wants to see it all. She loves going to see the front desk (usually have cookies up there) I've posted pictures. When we check in before our "stuff" touches the room we do a quick sanitizing. We did it before Covid and will do it after. Housekeeping gets the bulk. I want counters, places we touch, light switches, lamps, remote sanitized. We travel w slippers and such. This was a pretty clean place. Packed every night. read more

We were shocked to find out that this hotel is not brand new. Everything is perfectly clean and kept up. I'm pretty loyal to the brand and travel quite a bit, and I don't think I have ever had such a perfect stay at a Hampton Inn. The room and bathroom were pristine. Plenty of USB ports. Nicely thought out space and bathroom area. I always dread breakfast at hotels, but they had it completely handled. The seating area was gorgeous and set up nicely. The breakfast itself was basic but perfectly done. Everyone we spoke to at the hotel was friendly and helpful, but Nikki was just amazing. She was multi tasking and had just the best sense of humor. She gave us a perfect dinner recommendation (Cafe Toscano across the street) and hooked us up with a 10 percent discount! We couldn't be more impressed! read more

I stay here whenever in town on business. Known quantity and generally consistent. They have done a good job adapting to the challenges of Covid, upgrading turnover cleaning, not entering during your visit for daily cleaning unless you request, barriers, signage, and sanitizer stations. Breakfast they haven't quite worked out. Inconsistent pickup options, having one person for both checkout and getting food and coffee from the closed off former buffet room. And downstairs coffee is too strong and bitter to wait for. Room coffee is much better. read more

I just want to tell you how wonderful Angel at the front desk is. I got in last night after an extremely stressful day of driving though snow storms and nearly getting into an accident. She saw how stressed I was and made sure I was on a quiet floor with a nice view. She even offered me tea. She was so sweet she brought me to tears. She calmed my frazzled nerves and I was finally able to relax. Although my rating comes mainly due to Angel, the hotel was very clean and very nice. It was quiet and relaxing. Decent room but cleaning staff needs to be better trained cleaning restrooms. Shower curtains had nasty debris. Floors and toilets had personal hair around that was so disgusting! Breakfast was disappointing. Coffee was empty. Hot Water was warm. Management needs to work on training their staff better. Floors were dirty with footprints and hallways needed vacuuming. The elevator sounds like its going to break any time. No certificate showing its up to date. This hotel ruined it for other Quality Inn's . I wouldnt saty at another. read more

Hampton Inn, Pocatello, 2019. Overall it was satisfactory, but some improvements could be made. The front desk clerk was helpful. My room was large and nice. Furnishings are modern looking and efficient. The TV was adequate. Hampton has apparently switched to only providing cardboard paste cups in their rooms. That kind of cup dissolves quickly when used with alcoholic beverages. Plastic cups are out for whatever reason, except at the breakfast juice machine. Not a guest friendly change. The bathroom was large and comfortable but old style. It had a bathtub combination rather than a shower. Does anyone ever take a sit down bath in a small hotel tub? It did not have a urinal for men to pee, nor a bidet for personal cleaning. Those are not common in American hotels, but should be added for guest convenience. When a man pees in a toilet the splash creates an aerosol that spreads fecal bacteria around the room. Surely there are enough men staying in hotels for hotels to install plumbing designed for men. The wipe and go process is not adequately clean for 21st century standards either. At least they could install a toilet with a warm spray wash feature such as is now provided at hotels in several other countries. American hotels need to upgrade their game. The old standard 3 fixture bathroom says "CHEAP" all over it. The bed was comfortable. There were plenty of large pillows. The heavy quilt was too much weight for my feet and too hot for mid summer. I always have to turn off the AC which is always set too cold Mid 70s is better. An outside flood light was pointed almost straight at my room window. It forced me to close the blackout curtains at night. My room was quiet except while the AC was running. Their 2 elevators were quick and quiet I liked having ice available on every floor. The pool and spa hours were better than most but why do they close at night when the hotel is most full? The complimentary breakfast was vegetarian, with carbs and sugar in a variety of forms. Some fruit was available for additional fruit sugar. I was disappointed after staying in other Hampton Inns that served meat items and little cheese omelets with breakfast, Not up to exceptions. Since I'm not into carbs and sugar I skipped it and bought breakfast elsewhere. This hotel was barefoot friendly. read more

We drove up this way from LA on Christmas Day and stopped here for the night. We were looking for a place to eat and Dawn at the front desk helped out by calling a few places to check if they were open. Unfortunately, the only place open for takeout was a nearby Chinese restaurant and they weren't taking any more takeout orders. Oh well! The supermarkets were all closed as well. Dawn helped us settle in and made us feel at home. We were able to sit in the dining area and use their microwave to heat up some things we had brought up with us, thank goodness! Hot tea and fresh fruit and lots of other food items were available as well. I would definitely recommend this hotel with their friendly and courteous staff! read more

My grandmother passed away the evening before, so we got some hotel rooms for the family. These rooms also were PAID for. The front desk lady with rainbow colored hair (I will acquire her name and update) was very rude and short with me. I was aware that I could not check in but I needed names added to the room as I had to leave town before the check in time but needed my family to access the rooms without me being present. A very simple solution and quick fix that a SHITTY ATTITUDE did not need to be present for, especially because I was being understanding, and was the one who came up with the solution, even though this lady's literal job Is working at the hotel. would HIGHLY recommend hiring a front desk person who actually has customer service skills, as rainbow hair clearly doesn't have any and treats customers like an inconvenience. read more

Pretty clean and simple.Very simple in that price range.Very similar to Holiday Inn.Close to the freeway exit.I usually prefer to stay next to the different exit though , where they have few more late dining options within walking distance.Sliding bathroom doors are kinda funny , you can not lock them. Really big flat screen TV in our room , small fridge , no microwave.I was told microwave was available in a lobby. We had an iron and ironing board in a room , but surprisingly no hair dryer. Has a simple gym and swimming pool.I usually prefer places , where they have a shower next to swimming pool.There were no towels....Would be nice to have some pool toys for kids and swimming diapers for babies. Typical of what to expect from a Hampton: Spacious rooms, clean and simple approach, no unnecessary frills, and a hearty breakfast to start your day. I always stay at Hampton when I travel on business and this place lived up to expectations. There are a couple of food marts within walking distance, that make this place ideal for families or business travelers looking for something to nibble on. I slept great and am ready to take on the day. I took one star away because I thought the internet speed was pretty poor, when compared to other locations. Lastly, be sure to get a room on floor 3 or above. Floor 2 is actually the ground floor if you are staying in the back. I had a few curious smokers standing outside my room last night. The Hampton Inn in Pocatello was one of the best hotels I've stayed at. At check in the two young people running the desk were extremely nice, they new we were exhausted from an already tough trip. They were able to check us in and allow us to go to our rooms quickly. The rooms at this Hampton Inn were fantastic. Everything in the room was like new condition, the floor plan gave me plenty of room to layout my gear and repack a few things and not have to climb over my gear to take a shower or get to the bed. Do not stay at this hotel if you need internet... I stayed at this hotel and tried to get Internet service and premium Internet service. Neither worked effectively in the room. When I brought it to the attention of the person at the front desk the assistant general manager he told me it was my fault I had not complained and refused to give me a credit. There is a Marriott close by and a holiday inn if you need Internet while you are on your stay I would stay there.I have to say everybody else at the hotel was exceptional. read more

A classy guy needs a classy property to stay at. And when in a classy town like Pocatello I only stay at the finest property available, the Hampton Inn & Suites. I've stayed at this property twice recently for a total of about 6 nights across the two stays. I also stayed here in late summer 2009 too, so I guess that makes me a regular (and at the time of writing this, the Duke!). This is a newer Hampton Inn and its also a "Suites" property. Since its so new, its very clean and modernly appointed. Everything about the property is in great shape. Honestly almost two years later it looks as good as it did when I stayed here in '09 right after it opened. Every time I've stayed here I've booked a single King room. There are two types of rooms available, the regular single room and the suites room. Comparatively to some other Hamptons I've stayed at the single King room is a smaller room. The bed faces the outside wall vs the wall of the room next to you. This orientation seems to allow them to put it in a smaller space. Granted there's still a desk, office chair, bench and 42in TV in the room. The bathroom in this room is gigantic and has a walk in shower in the room I was in. Not sure if its a handicap room or all the single king rooms have showers and not tubs. I've also been upgraded two of the three times (once as HH Diamond and once as HH Silver) to a suite room. The suite is a very large room with a king bed, work desk, 42in TV, wet bar with fridge/microwave and a sofa. It has plenty of space and is located at the end of the hall so its nice and quiet. I think there's 4 rooms on each from from floors 2 to 4, so lots of suites on property. There's a workout room on property that is amazing. Its large with cardio machines, free weights and a Nautilus weight machine. You rarely find a hotel gym even at more expensive properties that are this well equipped. If you like to get a real workout it, that can be done in this gym. The pool is indoor and there's also a hot tub. The breakfast is served every morning and its free with the room. I'm not a huge believer in the free hotel breakfast but I know many of you out there are. They had some semi healthy options like a granola cereal and fresh fruit. Skim milk was available and they had some low cal yogurts too. There was also waffle machines, and the normal 3 rotating hot items that you'll find at all the new Hamptons for breakfast. The parking seemed fine, its a small lot but I found parking each night. Its easy to see the hotel as its high on a hill above the freeway. Its probably one of the highest signs in all of Pokey. So as they say... I don't normally stay in Pocatello, but when I do I stay at the Hampton Inn & Suites. read more

Sorry, not impressed and thoroughly shocked at the current rating. I travel quite a bit for work and stay at Hamptons quite a bit. This one, however, does not seem to meet the same level of quality as others. And the what is with the mini ironing board? I am 34 years old - I think I can handle a big-boy ironing board please. Has anyone at that hotel tried to iron a dress shirt with those? The bed wasn't very nice other. It made me consider sleeping on the Fisher Price ironing board. If you are travelling for business and need to iron a shirt or sleep, I suggest driving over to Idaho Falls and stay and the HGI there. read more

We were traveling through Pocatello meeting up with family and friends. We had a late check into the hotel at about 10:30 p.m.When we got into a room I went to open the curtains and found the dark brown stuff. We tried hooking up a laptop to the internet and it would not work on the hardwire or Wi-Fi connection. I tried to look up instructions in the hotel guide book in the drawer but it was covered in some kind of white stains. I talked to Billy at the front desk and he offered to switch rooms but it was 1130 at night and my wife was already asleep. he also stated they have 100% satisfaction and get a refund the room . The hotel bed sheets we're clean. The hotel staff was very nice. They have a hot breakfast which is just mediocre. It will get you to your next meal though. On our trip thru California Idaho and Nevada we stayed in hotels five nights and this was the worst one. read more

I think the girls name that helped me was Tabi. The two Queen room was incredibly spacious, clean, comfort beds and we were right next to the elevator and didn't hear a thing all night! My preferred hotel when in the area. I Normally travel 50% of the time and appreciate the nice touches. The rooms are always clean. The rooms well lit with good power (I hate when you have to hunt an outlet to work or charge your phone) and light. Nice desk, good space. Great breakfast (eggs, some sort of meat, biscuits, gravy, potatoes, etched - tasty) in the morning, good coffee, juice, milk, tea etc. a great start to the day. If your out really early or in a hurry there's a breakfast bag. Nice touch! My only "gripe" is personal. No pets! Hence a 4 my perfect hotel would also allow me to bring my dog! Almost there. Can't score a 4.5. I need to mention the friendly staff! read more
