Located serenely on top of a quiet hill, overlooking the city of Pocatello and not far from it's Medical Center, I HIGHLY recommend this hotel! It was SO clean and well maintained, that I THOUGHT it was only a year or two old! The staff is friendly and courteous. When the elevator had a malfunction for a couple hours, staff helped carry luggage, etc. up the stairs. Cheerfully too! And it was fixed in short order. They have an on-site laundry available, which was very much appreciated after visiting Yellowstone and the Tetons. The room is large with a K-cup coffee maker, mini fridge and microwave. Linens are breathable and comfortable. The breakfast has hot entries, fresh fruit, oatmeal, and a variety of various bagels, English muffins, and waffles. The bacon was fabulous! They had everything one needed! It also was the very first time I have seen Korean gouchujang sauce offered next to the salsa! One of the most pleasant stays we have ever had in a hotel!

Large comfortable room with King bed.

A newer property that is clean, fresh, quiet and COMFORTABLE! Friendly outgoing staff greeted me with a smile and conversation when I arrived. This hotel offers me all I need at Fairfield value pricing. To be honest, I prefer a hotel with a restaurant and bar in house, however those properties are not always expense account friendly or available. I was upgraded to an oversized room with a large screen in the sitting area and a large screen in the bed area. Grub hub delivers here so dining in room is better than seeking dinner out.

I had an outstanding stay at the Fairfield Inn when running the Pocatello marathon this weekend. Upon checking in, I received a free upgrade to the king suite, which came equipped with two televisions, a sitting area and desk, microwave, refrigerator and Keurig. Awesome! The hotel had a large pool and hot tub on the first floor with a view overlooking the mountains. The free breakfast was excellent, with scrambled eggs, omelets, sausage, waffles and a variety of other options. The facilities were clean and well-attended - since the hotel only just opened this summer, it is in excellent condition. Staff are very friendly and welcoming. I think my favorite part was the drive up to the hotel each night. Located at the top of a hill on Vista Drive, the parking lot had an incredible view of the mountains and surrounding city. Don't miss sunset from the hotel parking lot if you are visiting from out of town - it is breathtaking!

    Beautiful Idaho sunset!

Fantastic hotel! Friendly staff and exceptionally clean rooms. I would definitely recommend this hotel.

By far the best place to stay in or near Pocatello. Great staff! Very friendly and accommodating. The hotel is brand new, fresh and also has a fantastic view from on top of the city. Don't go anywhere else!

If we had known, we would have booked somewhere else. For being the most expensive hotel in the area, it was definitely not worth the price. The TV barely worked, the shower pressure was very weak, and the towels were incredibly rough and uncomfortable. The only thing I genuinely liked was the shampoo and conditioner they provided. Overall, this hotel did not live up to the price or expectations. I wouldn't stay here again unless they make some major improvements and are more upfront about amenities that aren't available.

And when I went into my bathroom it smelled like that too. I think it's weird that the shower curtain inside part is cloth. How do they clean that? The breakfast was okay. The eggs were never very good.... The sausages fine. Lots of pastry options though if you are into that sort of thing. Overall my stay was fine just didn't feel super clean and cozy. Staff were nice. Oh, there are no vending machines, they have a little "store" by the front desk but the prices of everything are 2-4x the cost. I think that's very not hospitable to take away vending machines and then mark up the price of stuff that's cheaper. Just go to the Maverick gas station down the street if you need something

Obviously, we made several stops and stayed the night until we would hit the road again. 9 hours later from Las Vegas, we stayed in Pocatello. I am so glad we booked our stay here at La Quinta. When we got here, it wasn't snowing yet, just a few flurries. I am giving this hotel 5 stars because of the friendly service, comfortable accommodations, complimentary breakfast and cleanliness. Although the breakfast wasn't like it used to be where they had stations and everyone can grab and go or dine in, but because of the pandemic, the breakfast is prepackaged in brown bags with water, fruits, muffins etc. The lady at the concierge (I wish I remembered her name) she was kind enough to recommend the best pizza place for delivery - Big Foot Pizza. They even delivered directly to our hotel room. The room was very clean & spacious, the beds were comfortable - to say the least, we overslept! The best part of our stay here... we woke up to snow! We looked out of the window the next morning and all of the cars in the parking lot were covered with SNOW! My kids couldn't wait to go outside! This was our first snow fall experience and we haven't never seen this much snow, it was amazing!

The day manager couldn't help me either because she said the first room must have be a glitch and she seemed to be mystified of what happened. We were hoping for either a partial refund or credit but was never offered it. I was tired and wasn't in mood to argue so I left very disappointed and would never stay at a Wyndham hotel again.

Bed was very comfortable with excellent pillows & sheets. Full kitchen in 2-bedroom suit with ALL appliances, including coffee maker, full oven/stove, dishwasher. Shower pressure was very good with lots of lotions, etc. Nice towels too! Really enjoyed the shower. Pool, spa tub & gym on premises. Free breakfast buffet was extensive and fully stocked up to closing at 9am. Eggs, bacon, hot oatmeal with toppings, yogurt, oranges, cereal & milk, bagels, muffins & toast, cream cheese & jelly/peanut butter, country gravy & warm biscuits. Large, warm & inviting breakfast seating with large-screen TV. . Cons- Seriously overpriced snack market, next to reception. Quirky building layout, difficult to find elevators. Room was...meh. Carpet appeared new, but all else was well-worn. Black-out curtains were beat with smalls holes. Bathroom toilet paper holder was broken with missing bar. TP was on top of tank. Water damage & chipped tiles around shower/tub. No robes, nor slippers (but not promised, either). Paper towel roll was almost empty, no replacement in room. Disposal switch for sink, but no disposal under sink. Pool had pealing ceiling, worried about chunks of paint falling in water. Back door to pool was propped open with a chair, so any non-guest could enter property. . We would return, after they refresh the property and update.

You can verify this yourself on either the D&B Business Directory and/or state business registries, as both are free to search. If you sort reviews by "Newest First" you'll see that the establishment has gone from 5-star to 4-star to... 2-star with me. I'm not going to give them 1-star, it was at least stay-able, for a night in a pinch, but holy hell does this place not live up to the Marriott brand name. I feel bad because franchises of a corporate brand name are left with all the risk when the economy tightens, and it definitely shows at this place. Yes, as previous reviews have said, this place is well-worn. So you don't need me to elaborate on that. But what I WILL elaborate on is that BECAUSE the place is well-worn AND we're in the economic state we're in (recession-"ish"), I'm guessing the cost of repairs has gone up due to supply chain cost/price increases (e.g. the cost of repairing a toilet in 2026 is SIGNIFICANTLY higher than in 2019). As a result, the establishment is NOT getting better. When we arrived, the front desk was nice. OK, that's an easy fix, nothing there, nice lady at the front, check-in was relatively smooth, yada yada yada. But we get to the elevator and it's.... out of order. Whatever, we take stairs, to the third floor, eh, that sucks, but whatever, shit happens, I guess. Get to the room on the third floor, and the inside of the room smells like someone had smoked there, and the maintenance team perhaps had just put in an ozone machine in an attempt to "de-smoke" the place instead of, say, replacing furniture, repainting the walls (my girlfriend works in property management so this is the typical SOP for when a tenant smokes in a non-smoking property). So Tuscany Hotels LLC is cutting corners, and I'm not sure if it's because they're cheap (e.g. if i were not giving benefit of the doubt) or if because cost of repairs and M&O (maintenance & operations) costs are getting too high (e.g. if i WERE giving benefit of the doubt). Either way, I paid more to stay at this place even WITH Beneplace (employer-provided hotel discounts for personal stays) compared to staying at a resort hotel in Yellowstone literally the next day that was NOT Marriott branded. Also... Breakfast sucked. This is a company-wide problem, irrespective of franchise or corporate, as all locations I've noticed (non-luxury like Residence Inn, Towneplace Suites, Fairfield, Element BUT ALSO LUXURY Marriott brands like Westin, Marriott, JW Marriott, etc) are all serving the same, shitty, microwaved, "big premade eggs in a bag" for breakfast. When ALL the different tier of hotels in a corporate brand are serving the same slop, all the hotel tiers become... The same. Again, this is the economic reality we're in, so I'm trying to write this review with understanding, but understanding doesn't mean you get a free 5-star review, nor does it mean an automatic 1. I think a 2-star review is fair. It shows that this place is reflective of its current 2-star customer experience, but it also shows that there is potential upside for this business to turn around.
