Good Chinese food. I was craving Chinese after moving from DFW and found this gem. Every one's plate is made separately which takes time but worth it. My husband and I were in the mood for Chinese food for lunch. We don't live in Tyler and don't know where the best places are. So we looked for a Chinese restaurant with a good rating on Yelp. We weren't disappointed. The food was delicious and in large servings. We even had enough left on our plates to take home and have for dinner. I ordered the house fried rice and my husband got the fried vegetables with tofu. We also ordered egg rolls. There is a sign on the door that says best egg rolls in town. They are the best and largest that I have ever gotten. We will definitely being going there again, when in Tyler. read more

Found this place tucked away right by our home. Have ordered several different things several different visits. Everything is always fresh and hot. Got the orange peel beef, which was good, but again nothing out of the ordinary as far as Chinese food goes. The beef is deep fried, so do not expect a stir fry style beef with this dish. Love this place! In the location where the old Basil Thai had been so they had big shoes to fill. I believe the owners are the old Peking owners and man is this place good! Lunch was a good experience, food was delicious and gracious service. Specialty rolls seems a bit high but understand why and are freshly made...so I opted for a simple spicy tuna roll, hot and sour soup, two veggie egg rolls and veggie low mein dish. Good not great. The staff was very friendly and while the food was good, kinda felt like something was missing. I had the happy family and my son had the beef and broccoli. They both were good but just seemed like something was missing. Maybe it was the "soy rice" they used or something. Either way everything was good and I would go back. As far as taste it good but customer service sucks. I am a business owner and if we mess up we fix it not just "I'm sorry". I will probably want go back for a while because when I don't get what I paid for and they don't care. Spoke to owner and he didn't care as well. They do have 2 girls that work there that go above and beyond and I would give them 5 stars but the rest well luck to get this 3 star. I use to promote this place but I will not make that mistake again and will tell people if ask good food but customer service need lots of help including owner. This place is outstanding, both in service and taste of food. Their menu too, is outstanding, but I am hooked on their shrimp fried rice, the best I've had in 45 years. Do not know what the heck these other 4 and 5 star reviews are talking about!! This place is mediocre at best. Hot and Sour soup was so salty I dumped it out, steamed dumplings were meh and the sauce was again dumped because of the salt. Crab Rangoon was flavorless. Happy Family fried rice was 95% rice and the "family" was nearly extinct. The egg roll was large and the only thing I would order again. Tried this place tonight with my family for the first time. We ordered a spicy California roll, dumplings, General Tso's Shrimp, sesame chicken, sweet and sour chicken, House special Lo mein (shrimp, beef, chicken) fried rice and egg rolls. They make their own sauce for the dumplings in house, very tasty. All of our food was great, no complaints. The employees are friendly and helpful. We ate in the dining room. All entrees come with 2 scoops of the ginger rice unless you ask for fried rice that is an upcharge. Both types of rice were very good. The food was fresh, no doubt. The prices were not too high. My family of four ate for around $50, which Is not bad at all. I can't speak for the restroom because non of us went in them. I did notice the dining room floor really could have used a good thorough mopping. It was later in the evening so maybe that was something they planned to do at close. I had lunch here Saturday Feb 4th and was pleased with the variety of menu items. I started off with a cup of egg drop soup and an eggroll. The soup was brought to my table lukewarm at best and when I inquired about chips for the soup I was informed there would be a $.075 upcharge. I must have had a shocked look on my face, because when the chips were brought out I was informed not to worry about upcharge. My soup had the right flavor I just wish I would have sent it back for warming as it was cold cold before I could finish. The eggroll was good not the best I have had but not the worst. I had pork fried rice and it was very good. They use real pork not the red looking pork found in many restaurants. I plan to return and try other menu options. read more
