We ordered one lo mein with mixed proteins, one spicy Mongolian beef, and one Sesame chicken, plus a side order of steamed dumplings. Each meal was served fat, piping hot and it was a huge portion. The food was great! The Mongolian beef was perfectly spicy and the beef was absolutely fork tender. The sesame chicken was great and had a nice flavor profile and not too much of a spicy heat. The only reason I gave it one star was because the staff was friendly and I didn't waste a ton of money, but the food was horrible. The best part was the water and rice. The egg rolls were like styrofoam and burnt on the ends. The sweet and sour sauce was watery and not very tasty. The orange chicken had oranges in it, but all I could taste was that the chicken seemed to be fried in very old oil!!! Also the eggs in the fried rice were over cooked and burnt!! Definitely best bang for your buck in north east Texas for Chinese food. I have eaten here several times and never had a bad experience. The options they have for meals if quite vast as well as having a tofu option for every dish. Dishes vary between $6-8 and portions are huge. Fried rice is cooked very well with noticeable amounts of egg. Zero dryness to the rice at all. The teriyaki dish I had today was fantastic with plenty of steamed veggies and chicken to delight anyone. 20.... Yes 20 sugar dumplings for like 2 or 3 dollars. So good to add to any meal. Must try. Fried dumplings are cheap and good. But these are run of the mill type dumplings. Tasty good addition to any meal but nothing to die for. If you want amazing dumpling and really cheap and really fresh and live in the NYC area hit me up and I'll let you know where greatness lies. My family has been eating here regularly over a year. We came this evening, and ordered our usual plates, cashew chicken and combo lo-mein and when we got our food it was hot and fresh as usual. However, the protein portions were smaller than usual and they were cut smaller than usual. We basically had more vegetables, rice and noodles than anything else. We know times are tough but I'd rather have the dish that I'm used and pay a higher price than to have corners cut for the same price. Probably won't visit for a while. read more

This is your down and dirty fast food Chinese at it's height, folks. Don't be dissuaded by the outward appearance that could probably use a little upkeep and love. Inside contains the most bang for your buck there ever was. The portions are HUGE, think spilling out of an entire styrofoam togo container huge. However, do not expect any healthy miracles to occur here. The grease is definitely packing and can be supplemented by healthy doses of chili oil. Their orange chicken, ordered extra spicy and extra crispy (when executed well), is quite tasty and will definitely fill you up. It comes with two large scoops (bowl-sized) of rice on the side. It is definitely top 5 on my list of orange chicken places. Vegetable fried rice will feed me for days (about four servings at least), but will feed my partner 2-3 meals. It is an incredibly large portion. They also have a pad thai on the menu, which is surprisingly good for a Chinese joint and dare I say, even better than the thai restaurant in town. I usually order it with tofu instead of the other protein options. Also, large portion, a common theme here. The last time I ordered this, they got incredibly creative and added water chestnuts, snowpeas, and mushroom to the concoction... definitely not a fan, but FYI. I am by no means a vegetarian, my love for them greens extending not far beyond tofu, cabbage, and spinach. The price is fair, around ~$7 for an entree which will feed me for days. It is like the guilty pleasure you just can't stop. So painfully cheap for so much food and so conveniently located. I say the next time is the last every single time. read more

This is the first time I have been to this place and I only have one thing to say - delicious!! I had the General Tso's chicken and it was hands down the best I have ever had. Apparently, they are under new management now and I wish them much success. I hope they will still be in business when I get the chance to travel to Tyler to visit them again. I was in the mood for some sesame chicken and noodles, so I ordered through the drive-through. Sadly, the chicken tasted like it had freezer burn and the noodles tasted like old grease. My lunch was just under $12, and I didn't order a drink. Every restaurant has an off day, so I normally give them a second chance. Used to like going here for good fast Chinese food. It has since gone very much down hill. Went one week and ordered a really good chow main dish that was cooked perfectly and flavorful. Went back two weeks later and was given a completely different dish. When asked, they said that this has what it has been since it was on the menu. So they don't know their own menu. Went and grabbed some lunch today because it is the only Chinese fast food close to home. I ordered the general tso's chicken which took 15 minutes through the drive thru to get it. When I got home, there was five very small pieces of chicken and a single piece of broccoli. Very poor preparation. Won't be going back any time soon. read more

I've been going here off an on for over ten years an this last visit today will be the last time. I attempted to order and they never said anything back, like what the order was or how much it was. I had 4 items and that was just basic 3 E14's one with white rice and the other two fried rice and lastly a E13 with fried rice. I've when I get home everything is has white rice, and the orange peel chicken barely had any orange flavor an tasted more like peppered chicken... I love to eat Chinese food and had been told by one of my classmates to try this place. I ordered chicken and crab Rangoon's with a drink and thought it was kind of expensive at first ($13 for myself) but upon receiving my food, I was impressed at how big the portion was! Lots of chicken and sauce with two large portions of yummy fried rice. It all tasted fresh, the chicken was tender with a nice crispy coating and the Rangoon's were stuffed with plenty of cheese and crab! Totally worth the price- it was two meals in one. Egg rolls. (period) I moved from Tyler to Dallas in the fall of 2006. Then, to Austin in the Fall of 2009. I have still not found a Chinese restaurant with egg rolls that compare to that of Peking. I visit Peking literally every time I come home to Tyler. Peking also offers tofu as a substitute for meat in any of their dishes, so this is a great place for vegetarians. (I recommend Yew Shong Tofu with added cashews) This place gets 5 stars even though they are closed on Sundays. read more
